The Circuit (OOC)

By Rabobankrider, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire Beginner Game

I believe as per your previous conversation you do have the correct amount of credits pooled for this race.

Before I post a response, is anyone else going down the course to check it out, or is anyone trying anything else?

Narratively, Varik would be hanging around the bikes, fussing over them and making sure they're ready to go. (since Edgehawk rolled the Perception check)

Mechanically, he isn't doing anything unless you'd be willing to let him make a check to give the racers a Boost off the starting blocks or something.

Already accounted for. I think that 35 is after accounting for the race, taking 200 credits out of pocket.

I thought it was 400 per racer for the license, and 500 per racer for the actual race?.

No, I believe the 400 was a discount off of the 500 for the race.

It was? @Rabobankrider

@jhh3 just so you know, the race is 500 a racer, unless you can try to talk down the price etc.

@jhh3 , I'm going to need an average education with a boost to see how well your licence application goes. You can of course try and find another way to get it past if you want, relying on the 'old school methods'.

@Rabobankrider Do we have to pay 500 credits per racer to get a license, or is that just for the race?

On 5/24/2020 at 11:05 PM, Rabobankrider said:

@jhh3 , ok great, with that check you can reduce the cost for the license by 100 credits thanks to a loophole you've found in the paperwork (you can narrate that however you want). The game they are playing is sabbac.

Paying for the race will just be on arrival at the course, all you need to pay for at the moment is the team race licence.

jhh3 I think you may be right, but rereading these has me confused. Especially with other statements by other players that were not corrected by RaboBankRider.

Ok, it looks like I had gotten confused with my maths on this one unfortunately, sorry about that. The 400 was for the race licence for the team. It was reduced from 500 courtesy of @jhh3 . This was a one time payment which you won't need to make again (unless you lose your licence). The race itself is 200. Sorry for the confusion.

So, for all intents and purposes, its 800 credits total? We've pretty much paid it all, then?

Yeah, ic you just need to register for the race and pay and you're good to go.

With Zara looking Krydil can check the track before the race.

Ok cool, @Edgehawk , with that check you can add a boost to one section of the course of your choice thanks to your recon work. With the advantage, you also spot a couple of strangers who seem to be following you.

@Rabobankrider Can I examen the track specifically to find something that could aid the racers.

@Rabobankrider Can i make a check to scout out the other racers before the race?

@Edgehawk , sorry, I should have made it clearer, Zara doesn't see who is following them, it's more of a feeling. If you want to actively look for them it's an average perception with a boost. Also the feeling strikes on the way back up the slop, in the woods.

@rocketrobie2 , is there anything specific you're looking for?

: 2eA+1eP+1eB+2eD 3 successes, 1 threat
a-s.png a-a.png p-s-s.png b--.png d-th.png d-th.png (Sorry- I built the dice pool and rolled, forgetting to fill the rest in).

@Rabobankrider Any suspicious tampering or something of the like?

@rocketrobie2 , sure! I'll say an average perception with a setback will show any current suspicious work, hard mechanics check will show alterations to bikes etc.

@Edgehawk , you see what looks like three figures moving through the trees back up the hill towards you. I'm going to sit on the disadvantage for this moment. If you tell @Shlambate , they will be able to see these figures as well.

Edited IC.

@rocketrobie2 , it all looks on the up and up to you!

@P-47 Thunderbolt , @jhh3 and @rocketrobie2 , somebody still needs to sign the team up for the race as a priority, if there's anything else you want to do you can certainly try.

@Edgehawk and @Shlambate , I'm going to need to make an average vigilance check, followed by a vigilance initiative check.

I vote for the manager ( @jhh3 ) to do the signing up. Rik would be too busy fussing over the bikes.

I agree that @jhh3 would make most sense but I'm fine with Yoomnuff going ahead with it

Ha! That’s what I get for posting before checking the OOC.

Avg Vigilance : 2eA+2eD 1 success
a-a.png a-s-a.png d-th.png d-th.png

Vigilance initiative : 2eA 2 successes, 2 advantage
a-s-a.png a-s-a.png

I can do it if everyone agrees.
