this is a place-holder first post, this thread is for coordination of what is about to happen or discussion of what just happened. If something can reasonably be expected to be controversial, then it should be worked out here (and agreed upon by the parties involved) before it's posted in the IC thread.

Jango recommended mandos to train the clones, a few of them might have known jango as a guy who wears mandalorian armor but he never showed them his face (he was at least pretending to follow "the way" around them) jango has told the possibly true story of being rescued adopted/raised by mandos although no one seems to know his heritage (by adoption), but while the mandos who trained the clones knew Jango (by armor), they didn't know he was the one who recommended them for the job. If they saw him on camino they'd have assumed he was just another mando hired to train the clones

lady with red sabers (assaj ventress) drove onto scene, took down Mireska and Jorin (with assist by reflect from sniper Ker'see), took sabers ordered droids to kill them then rode off to deal with sniper.

@P-47 Thunderbolt

Lieutenant "Camouflage" clone leader of an aerial assault/recon squad

Have jet packs with caveat that you have to flip a destiny point each encounter to have you and your men use jetpacks in that encounter (travel outside an encounter doesn't require a dp flip). Varactyl squad always has a 2 green 2 yellow piloting check. All clones in this post have armor with 2 hours oxygen and self sealing of small breaches.

Camouflage’s sidestory:

Camouflage has always looked out for his brothers to the best of his ability, and now that extends to Jorin and potentially the other Jedi as well. He’d defend them until his last dying breath, no matter what.

Or that’s what he thinks, anyway. If his inhibitor chip were to become damaged and malfunction, he may find himself acting out in ways he would not understand or really be able to control, including turning on those he would defend.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/gfmk8eqh2jeecso/TinariWen.pdf/file

Tinari Wen is a human Jedi, an Investigator by training, and former Padawan of Tera Sinube. His training was at the main Jedi Temple but his story began far, far away. He was born on the planet of Shu-Torun, in the Mid Rim, and was discovered by a Jedi Recruiter making a pass through that section of space and looking for likely candidates for the Order. Reaching the main Temple he was soon settled into the routine with the other younglings and as such has no real conscious memories of his life before the Order. Raised as part of the younglings crèche he grew up separate from the common life on the Capital of the Republic. Being simultaneously clos to and separated from so much activity and so many cultures caused his curiosity and desire to know what is happening to become one of his stronger, indeed some would say his strongest, personality trait. Over time he has learned to control his curiosity, but it remains part of his core personality.
During his time as a Padawan under Tera Sunube He worked in concert with the Coruscate Security and Law Enforcement services on a variety of cases with a year’s long series of investigation dealing with the Twi’lik slave trade and it’s crosslinks to several of the criminal organizations. On a personal level Tinari finds slavery abhorrent, yet he has been taught that the Republic must respect and support the ways and rights of its member planets and that includes laws permitting slavery. Realizing that ultimately the source comes from those organizations that profit, he has focused and intensified his desire for justice while tempering his capacity for cruelty to those he sees responsible. It is his view that the crime syndicates and to a slightly lesser sense those who would profit economically from the misery of others are the source of the majority of the discontent current in the Republic.
During the time of his training Tinari Wen became acquainted with and eventually befriended Ran'dar Karr, one of the Mandelo’jeti visiting from his homeworld, as well his student Theda Kryze with whom he became particularly close. During this time he learned a great deal of the Mandolorian customs and began sparing with them, eventually going so far as to style a lightsaber after theirs. This has drawn some criticism by those that question the use of weapons other than the traditional, which Tinari answers on two points; the Jedi way is to seek Knowledge and that as an Investigator sometimes it is best to avoid flashing signs of attachment to the Order.
Over the last few years since completing his trials Tinari Wen continues to have reinforced that ‘how’ is as important as the ‘why’ in discovering ‘what’ has happened as he has continued his delving into the secrets of the underworld and attempts to bring justice to those in need of it.

In appearance Tinari is a young human male, with curly black hair pulled back from his face, most commonly seen in either the robes of the Order or some non-assuming clothing in order to fit into the crowd more completely.

Initially I foresee his focus and motivation being learning to lead his clone squad as well as keep them and himself alive. Gathering whatever information and intelligence he can will aid in this task as well as the war effort.

With his focus on the actions of the crime families in the past, Tinari will be inclined to see their work in many places as well as tempted to seek their works out. As the War continues and intensifies he will probably begin to see the clones as a product of this abuse as well as those manipulated on both sides of the War to sustain it.

As he continues he will probably want to start creating a custom suit of armor, both for its value in the War as well as a continuation of his studies of the Mando'jeti.

The character and the path he takes will evolve from here.

Update with current character sheet

Captain Wraith, CT-6987

http://swsheets.com/c/pggzmiw4s-ct-6987-%E2--wrai

Since his decanting, CT-6987 has always striven to be the best of the best. Even amongst his 'identical' clone brothers he consistently exceeded design parameters; beating the odds, and outpacing them in most training exercises. "Extraordinary," Lama Su had said about him, "but well within expected variances." And so, CT-6987 found himself subjected to harder and harder training exercises as his 'education' continued.

It wasn't long before the cloners realized that his true talents weren't just as another trooper, and he found himself transferred into a new 'batch.' A batch born to be officers. And, although he was decanted a lowly trooper, CT-6987 once again rose to the top of leaderboards amongst his new brothers, earning him a spot in the coveted ARC trooper training program.

CT-6987 didn't know what the ARCs had in store for him, but he soon earned their grudging respect and was accepted by them as an equal. This was where he had always belonged, he thought. He wasn't decanted to be just any trooper, or even an officer; he was decanted to be an ARC and that much he was certain about.

It was in company of the ARCs that CT-6987 had earned his name. It was in their brotherhood that he had become Wraith. Of course, infiltrating their lines and reaching his objective completely undetected and claiming victory for his squad during a live fire exercise certainly didn't hurt, either.

When the day finally came that he and his brothers were called into action and he was commissioned as a captain within the Grand Army of the Republic, he was ready, eager even, to test his true mettle in combat and defend the Republic with his last breath if need be. Geonosis was where it was to begin. The war he was bred for was finally here.

Sidestory

Wraith has always known that serving the Republic was what he was created for, what he was trained for, but in the back of his mind he can't help but wonder if his choices are truly his own. He feels as if he has free will, but does he really? Is he a man or an automaton? These are the questions that wrack his subconscious mind when he closes his eyes for sack time. These are the doubts that haunt him as he fulfills his duties.

He doesn't doubt his loyalty towards the Republic, he'd never doubt that, but is there something deeper, buried within his mind, that compels him to act? He doesn't know, but he'd like to find out, perhaps with the help of Mireska, perhaps on his own.

Ultimately, this should lead up to an opportunity for Captain Wraith to discover the biological control chip in his brain and attempt to remove it in order for him to truly know if he's a man in control of his own mind or if his will is nothing more than an illusion.

PLACE HOLDER!

BACKGROUND

Ker'see was taken into the order young and followed standard training for all younglings. Her master picked her for agility and quick hands as they wanted someone who could match their own speed on missions.

Ker'see did as she was told but with little flourish or style. This frustrated her master as the young padawan was not excelling like they had hoped.

It was during one mission though that the young Devaronian showed some passion. Pinned down by blaster fire from pirates they were tasked to capture all hope seemed lost. A crate of weapons broke open and out rolled the weapon that would change Ker'see's approach to the force: An energy bow. She couldn't explain why but this was the weapon for her.

She took the bow in hand and asking her master to provide a distraction went high, aimed and started shooting with the bow. Each draw found its mark and by the end the pirates were down.

Her master was amazed and knew where the padawan's skill lied. The continued training for some years Ker'see growing more proficient and finally earning her ranks.

Her missions changed from this point onwards. The Jedi needed her to put her skills to use. She would become a sniper when needed. Returning from a mission to take out a rampaging rancor she is called to action on Geonosis and works with clones in the opening days of the war...

http://swsheets.com/c/3wc1uh0p4-ker-see

Her running story:
Ker'see has been drafted into the conflict. It's another mission right? She's been following orders for years how is war going to be different? Things have changed because she can no longer act alone, she has to consider the wider war effort and a lot of civilians come into play. Ker'see has never really had to deal with such things before and it is going to be affect her judgement. People are going to be getting in the way and she might not always be able to make the easy shot. Suddenly the mission is getting more complicated and she can't always follow the code, she's having to bend to suit the greater goal and how can she? She never had to before, she's not coping well with it.

Then they give her a squad and suddenly she has to be responsible for others!

Ker'see is going to have to make decisions along the path. Pursue the target or save the people? Does the mission come first or does her squad need her more?

Morality

Campaign start: 50. Current Morality: 50

Starting clone squad: Jinx (CT-1313), Niner (CT-9999), Binary (CT-1010), Rain (CT-1000), Storm (CT-1001), Cloud (CT-1002)

Backstory and Side-Story (starting version is identical to starting character sheet's information):

http://www.mediafire.com/file/ahz3dg55a9sfwn8/Mireska_Tanohdi_-_Backstory_and_Side-Story.pdf/file

OR in the spoiler below:

Mireska Tanohdi is a newly-graduated mirialan Jedi Knight, trained as a healer/doctor (both specs plus most of the Heal Force Power tree).

As a Padawan her mentor was Healer Master Gur Bendu. Determined to become an expert healer, she completed both a Jedi Healer apprenticeship and a civilian medical degree before her Knight trials. She was therefore the last of her age cohort to attain knighthood. In the mean time she became friends with Ahsoka Tano because they often get each other’s misdirected mail.

Part of her medical training (including her graduating thesis as a Senior Padawan) was focused on the treatment of newly-freed slaves and their (re-)integration into society. Seeing both the physical and psychological trauma suffered by her patients has given her a strong antipathy against slave-owners/-traders and the whole institution of slavery in Hutt Space and other regions beyond the Republic’s borders. (Motivation: Injustice/Slavery, Morality: Compassion/Hatred.) E.T.A. And she’s not happy either with the “cultural enclaves” which allow slavery.

After her Knighthood trials Mireska worked with MedCorps, but she has developed restless feet. She wants to be seconded to ExplorCorps in order to fulfil an ambition to discover new worlds - and hopefully new medical techniques. (Motivation: Ambition/Discovery.) After Geonosis this plan will of necessity be shelved “until the war is over”. (Hence her tertiary motivation: Cause/Galactic Peace.)

With ExplorCorps in mind, Mireska is extending her repertoire by taking missions which allow her to learn astrogation and other skills that will be useful on exploratory missions. Her current boss, Healer Master Vokara Che (twi’lek leader of the Coruscant Temple's Halls of Healing and of MedCorps), is supportive and has therefore put Mireska on the general mission roster.

This is how she ended up on Geonosis - and nearly got killed because she's not that good at using Reflect. (Maybe one of the other PCs saved her?) However, her healing skills were of great use both during and after the battle. Stimpacks might run out, but the Force does not. Geonosis has also instilled her with a hatred for battle droids. In her eyes they should be destroyed (or possibly re-programmed for peaceful purposes).

Mireska's original lightsabre training focused on Ataru/Form IV as it complemented her natural agility, but after Geonosis she has become more interested in Shien/Form V and Soresu/Form III due to their more defensive natures. Even Niman/Form VI has caught her interest. She is not highly skilled at using a lightsabre, and has never won any of the competitions held for Initiates, Padawans, or Knights.

Her teal-bladed lightsabre is usually either attached to her Jedi utility belt, or discreetly attached to her physician's kit in such a way that it doesn't attract attention (it looks like an extra support to the kit's outer structure). After Geonosis, Mireska realised that she needed to improve her 'sabre. Lightsabre construction: 1,500 credits already set aside for a Cyclic Crystal Array (technically bought but not yet installed), and saving up to 9,600 cr. for a Lorrdian gemstone (not bought yet). 7,600/9,600 saved to date for the Lorrdian. (Credit box shows only "free cash".)

When out of Temple she usually wore discreetly reinforced clothing designed to look like a Jedi Healer’s uniform.

Mireska is not accustomed to exerting her personality unless it’s a medical-related situation, nor is she as aware of her surroundings as some of her teaching masters might wish. She is not very strong unless assisted by the Force (average Brawn, Cunning, Willpower, and Presence).

Personality: normally shy, and often leaves a slightly bookish impression (due to constant reading up on the latest medical research and working on her astrogation and other Temple texts). Meditates often. Tea drinker/addict. When not working in the Temple’s Healers’ Halls or a ship's medbay, she can be found in a training salle or other suitably open area (cargo hold, landing bay, etc.) practising katas for those forms which she wishes to acquire/improve.

Mireska has worked at hospitals, refugee camps, etc., often with a focus on helping ex-slaves. This work has forced her to deal with the realities of life (unlike some of her more cloistered colleagues), and so she has not reached the exalted ranks of a Light side paragon. (I don’t plan on her going Dark side, but I'm not that worried about her not reaching Morality 70 either.)

In a similar vein, she follows an older version of the Jedi Code:

Emotion, yet Peace.
Ignorance, yet Knowledge.
Passion, yet Serenity.
Chaos, yet Harmony.
Death, yet the Force.

"I am with the Force, and the Force is with me."

Death prayer of the Guardians of the Whills in Jedha: “In life there is the Force, and in the Force there is life. And the Force is eternal.”

Side-Story: Ending Clone Slavery, a.k.a. “Save the Clones! (and incidentally the Jedi too)”

Kamino and the clones both fascinate and horrify Mireska.

Fascination because full sapient cloning is illegal in the Republic, and Kamino was completely unknown to the Jedi Order (thanks to Dooku's meddling). Therefore she’s likely to dig into Kamino's records whenever possible in order to learn more about the cloning process, particularly with regard to the GAR clones. This could lead to several research/fact-finding trips.

Horror because Mireska realises that the clones are essentially slaves, treated as products by the Kaminoans and given no choice other than to be soldiers. When/if her research comes across mention of the bio-chip, she will be even more horrified by this involuntary (and in her eyes unnecessary) behaviour modification. Any odd clone behaviour will also interest her, particularly if she can connect it to the bio-chip.

If Mireska does connect murderous behaviour with the presence of the bio-chip, then she will quietly start a campaign to have the chips extracted from as many clones as possible. If she realises how the “orders” on the chip could result in murder/genocide, she will also report her findings on the clear and present danger to both the High Council and to the Jedi Order's current Master of Shadows. After all, someone was behind the idea of the bio-chip and its programming, and no sane Jedi would do such a thing.

Any/all of the above could support/tie in to any other PC’s investigation.

Campaign Update

Geonosis was a blood-stained pit of horror. Mireska is deeply disturbed by many things: the number of Jedi lost at Geonosis (not to mention Obi-Wan's health status), the origin and legal status of the clones, and the fact that Senate idiocy has now put her in charge of soldiers. (What does she know of warfare?!?)

After Tinari found her struggling with some attachment mods in a Temple workshop and helped her with them, she invited him over for some tea and conversation. She has shared some of these concerns with him, including some political discussion about Senate factions.

What you typed isn't easy to reference. What's the issue with either filling in a swsheets page and posting a link to it or posting a link to an oggdude pdf hosted on mediafire/onedrive/Google drive/dropbox/etc.?

I could throw the info given into OggDude, make a PDF from it, and put it up on my Mediafire account if that would help. All that's missing is the Morality, Motivation(s), physical description, and Background (as in Beginnings, Attitude Towards the Force, and Reason for Adventure).

Is the character a Jedi who was trained by a Temple mentor? There might be 2x 5 xp to save there which could then be used elsewhwere. And if the character doesn't mind starting at Morality 50, then that's also 10 more xp to spend elsewhere during the first part of the character creation phase (as opposed to spending the extra 900 xp awarded later by the GM).

Or I could just stay out of this particular discussion. :)

That would be very helpful! Morality is 50+10xp. Not sure if we were allowed mentor bonus so i did not include it.

Alright, but let's move the details part of the conversation back over to the Misc thread, so as not to clutter up the OOC thread with actual character creation stuff.

@AnomalousAuthor @Bellona @Demon4x4 @MrTInce @RandiQuade @vandarl

Feel free to post in the IC thread. @Demon4x4 I need you to post the text oftour back story and side story in your character post above. @RandiQuade I need you to post the link to the character sheet created for you by bellona into your character post above and put your backstory and side story text in that post as well. @AnomalousAuthor at this point you can describe interaction with your men or another jedi who happens to be there.

It suits... I was giving the players an opportunity to potentially alter Obiwan's fate.

@MrTInce if you want to make a long range attack, upgraded twice (once for adversary, once because he's engaged with obiwan) with a set back, you can. If so edit the your post and include the orokos.com link bbcode text in it.
