No.

Probably the most "feels bad man" card in 2.0 besides Supernatural. Thats why people should be using it. Bring it into the light.
I do like the way it elevates generics though. But thats absolutely not the only thing its good for.

I agree.

Oh I didn't know Alex was @gennataos , congrats for your win as I said your semifinal game was very nice to watch!
I'm a bit out of the loop with the new names, what are Hyperspaces store championships? What's the format?

We talked about that on the way home from Crossroads after Andrew heard you mention that point. R3A2 was based on a ship equipped with it, shooting at another ship, in arc to deal the stress. An overall goal in the game is to just not be in arc of ships as to not get shot. Admiral Sloane works 0-3 for her ships, but the effect on the enemy ships themselves is much further. Here's the biggest part, Sloane actively punishes an opponent for completing the overall objective of destroying ships, which I assume is the most feels bad part about it (I haven't been on the receiving end of Sloane yet, I've been dishing it out).

Yeah, also buckle up for the bidding war therein. Whisper and Redline who move first in the mirror seem to be pretty sad.

LOL, too true. The Extended Format meta already looks a little too 1.0-reminiscent, but when a 2-ship list with a 17-point bid can just fly at everything and not care, Second Edition format has some UpUpUp work to do as well. ![]()

The short answer is we [mostly] don't know. But basically, it won't be extended, and appears to be "second edition + some" format. It will also cycle/change each hyperspace "season"

@Biophysical was speaking to the Side event that was going on under the 2nd Edition format rules that @gennataos won. People who didn't make the top cut had the opportunity to play in that, which is what he won.

I'm not Smittle, he's way better than me. I'm the old guy who won the three round Second Edition format side event on Sunday after missing the cut. ![]()

Its primarily the fact that it dishes out 2 stress instead of 1. That even more than the insane range is what seems to make people flip out the most.
The rerolls, range, and proc on death are all good but not the end of the world, and only start to scale in value at 4-5+ ships which leads to other compromises.
Against an awake player the generic heavy versions of Sloane lists often lose approx 2 ships in 1 round or lose the Sloane carrier pretty early.
Still Sloane is just not something the legions of 3 ship ace players in Swiss are typically prepared for. A strong enough Alpha can get them out of the matchup though.
One other comment....I was very surprised to see a Whisper Sloane/Soontir/Scimitar/Scimitar list in the Top 16. That list is actually pretty unforgiving from my experience.

We Krayt-acquired him before he won the event, so it super counts.
I faced only 1 Sloane (quarterfinals). Fortunately, she never triggered, as when I was not shooting her, I was spreading my fire and earning half points or setting myself up once Sloane was either away or dead. Yet, variance was key, as his bombers almost never rolled a blank, and thus did not need to line bullseye, yet my Rexler would disrespectfully only roll one green blank at most per roll. As such, 3 dice attacks on a ship that can now arc dodge decently with its evade didn't do much. And rolling only 1 evade on 4 greens was a feelbad moment for his soontir, as the juke flipped that 1 hit through and into a direct.

There is photo evidence of him in a clearly Krayt vehicle.

Just because he wasn't willing to press charges doesn't make what you guys did okay.

The second Ed tourney was sooooo much fun though, I want to play so much more if that

That's what we did this past weekend... Boba made a lot of appearances, got 2 of the top three spots... but X-Wings on top!

What is it about TIE Strikers over the other 34 point options for Empire that the hivemind has been latching onto? I don't own enough Strikers to run a swarm, so I tried 2 Alphas and 2 Barrage Scimitars and that mix of capabilities seemed pretty good?

You need to win more events so we can chant dad more.

I'm 100% on board with that and happy to own it. I just need to convince my opponents their concession to me will help foster joy in the community, if only for a few brief moments of chanting.

They're all good.
