My Jawas are done!

Though I have to confess I didn't paint these. I just coached lol.

I asked my wife if she wanted to learn to mini paint. I walked her through the Jawas step by step(figured they'd be simple).

I'm super happy with how they turned out. I don't think I myself could have gotten the eyes that good with the orange around the edges.

Mrs. RogueLieutenant, you are quite the artist! Perhaps even better than your husband.

TBH I started with this for inspiration:

I usually look for action figures for color info since they tend to have simpler color areas that are easly to extrapolate on, rather than simplifying colors from a movie still.

That guy had a green shirt and looked like slightly darker green shoulder armor so I just took that and ran with it.

My tank is done!

My wife did this one.

Once again I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I also decided to experiment with Green Stuff sculpting. These are the results.

My second pair of weequays is done:

Those shoulder guards took me FOREVER to get to a point where I thought they were at least mostly symetrical lol. Sculpting is super hard.

Still need to gloss up 0-0-0 and also BT's eye, but other than that they're done!

These ones were done by my wife once again under my guidance.

i'm really digging 0-0-0's shock-palm.

this one is not quite done yet but i had to share.

I finally got my Wave 9 stuff on friday and have started working on these guys.

She did a wonderful job on them, they look fantastic!

This commission is for me so I've gone ahead and bought a set of dollhouse sized gifts to use as focus tokens. I'll post pics here when I have the whole ensemble together

Not sure if you can tell the difference, but the droids are all glossed up now. I think they look great with the glossy finish. (it's more apparently when you're actually moving them around...)

And Santa Gideon is finally complete. Rudolph got an acrylic upgrade to really catch the light and better sell the illusion that it's glowing.

And another job well done by my wife. Can't wait to get this one on the table.

My Vinto is done!

I wanted to wait on chopper until Sorastro made a video, as he's one of my favorite Star Wars characters and I didn't want to risk messing it up.

But he's in my store champs list and i need to have an all painted team so I took a shot at it. it was one of the tougher paint job's I've done. Especially since I had to mix colors for pretty much every color on him.

I almost snipped off the arms and periscope thing. The periscope felt out of place (I can't remember him using something like that in the show) and the arms seem a bit too big, but obviously I didn't do that.

Wouldn't blame you if you did. The model might look a bit better without the overly thick arms. I think I may cut mine off, but put pins in them, so I can add them if the need/desire arises. Same with the periscope. I don't remember seeing that in the show either.

I'm still tempted to remove just the periscope. maybe see how that looks.

Finished up Verena. Decided to get a bit experimental with the colors since, well, she doesn't make it to the table very often.

I took inspiration from Star Lord and Elsa (Frozen) for the colors.

If you do please post a picture of it without the periscope.

I will. Just depends on how lazy I am. I'd have to mix up some orange paint again and try and get the mixture just right to match the top of his head in order to cover up where the 'scope used to be...

These figures aren't new but these are the guys who won me a small Store Championship so I thought they deserved a glamor shot.

How did Chopper do? Im still debating about using him in my list for this Sunday.
