Maybe if we get our GM up on the cantina's karaoke stage and get him rocking to some new groove, some extra XP falls out to his adoring fans below?

:D

I thought of adding a "shake" part to it too late into the joke. I invested all of my tired Monday brain energy into that one lol

Does anyone have access to the book with Clone Soldier in it? I have no idea how many starting skill their career gives them (3 or 4?) and how many their first specialization gives them.

That's RotS, which I have. However, you can check out RLogue's Talent Sheet PDFs, they should give you want you need. You'll need the "Clone Wars Era" set.

It gives them a full 8 career skills (standard EotE and AoR 4 free skill ranks) and the normal 4 bonus career skills from their specialization.

I can look up the talents and such on a wiki site, but just needed to know how many free skills at creation. If it's a standard 4 and 2, then I can work with that. Thank you.

Yeah, they're pretty much AoR specs for all intents and purposes, while the Jedi specs are FaD specs for all intents and purposes. FaD/Force-style are the only exception to the 8/4-4/2 rule.

I suppose Droids are also an exception, but they aren't a type of spec.

Aren't droids just a species to use? I briefly looked at them, and the starting XP was terrible considering the characteristics you start with.

Yes, but they get to select 6/3 instead of 4/2. The droids get a benefit in specialization and in cyber-cap, which is always at 6 instead of Brawn. So they can easily boost characteristics through cybernetics once they've got the credits for it.

They'll always have a pretty substantial dump stat though, as they're built for specialization. If you try to build them broad, you'll have problems. I've played a droid before, and it went fine. Didn't get far enough to get cybernetics, but I had a specialized (not min-maxed, specialized) build and he was pretty good at his job. The key is building directly to what you need. So he was a 124321 Spy: Slicer who managed to fail an absurd number of checks. We'll talking crazy ratios that defy logic. I can dig up the numbers if you'd like to see just how bad it was.

Besides, Droids get a huge bonus with their species abilities and are narratively quite enjoyable.

Plot twist: The droid was a double-agent and programmed to fail on purpose.

Picked up Dedication 4 (Brawn) for 25 XP, E1 on the Death Watch Warrior tree.

Fails at slicing the lock, rips it off the mount instead.

No, just demolish it by repeatedly bashing my head into it. It's a very effective tactic when you're at your wit's end and just failed your third Easy Computers check in a row. ^_^

@EliasWindrider

Time for a brief trip to another natural location ...

* Dangles our beloved GM off the edge of Angel Falls (Venezuela), and shakes him vigorously, while @P-47 Thunderbolt , @RuusMarev , @MrTInce , and @SuperWookie hold out nets carefully to catch any XP that falls. *

Virtual cachapas and bienmesabe afterwards for those who like the stuff!

I read that as "chupacabras" the first time. <_<

:D

After I could only think of antelope steak for the Mosi-Oa-Tunya post (I love the translation of that name, which is why I prefer to use it over Victoria Falls), I decided that I should in future at least try to look up regional dishes for each new geographical location.

Ah yes, Happy Thanksgiving!

Picked up Jump Up for 10 XP, B3 on the Death Watch Warrior tree.

Now I'm saving for the Sapper tree (50 XP).

Picked up improved animal bond from hermit for 20 XP.

Because last week was Thanksgiving.... you'll get an extra 5 xp

So @Bellona @MrTInce @P-47 Thunderbolt @SuperWookie get 11 xp.

@RuusMarev gets 6 xp (even though he didn't post ic this past week)

cursed busy Thanksgiving... :,(

For Mireska I bought FR +1 (Niman; 25 XP) and Magnitude upgrade (Heal power; 5 XP).

After those expenditures she has no unused XP.

The SWSheets and MediaFire versions have also been updated.

Since I have Dedication and Force Rating from Consular: Teacher, does that mean I am eligible to pick up Much to Learn signature ability?

EDIT: Not sure if I have any talents worth sharing though lol

Yes.

The only talents I see as being worth sharing (outside of very rare situations) are Center of Being, Force Assault, Defensive Training, and Confidence. Parry, potentially for Camo and the Varactyls, but that's only if they are both using melee weapons and being attacked by melee weapons, so not very likely.

You may be better off picking up more talents or a new spec, but that's just my two cents.

I was wanting to invest in Imbue some more, so I was going to save my points, but after looking at the power I would have to buy the whole left side of the tree to get the Mastery as well... so then I started looking around at what else I can do. Dumping a lot into Sage for the extra two Force Rating talents seems good.

Teacher is not niman-disciple but the answer is still yes
