What if there is no night kill and this is a plauge game?
If Scum manage to infect everyone's intel before we root them out, they win. They "killed" me and... did something to Ebon? Or they just blocked me and "killed" him?

Forty said intel was NOT infiltrated
However, roleblock is still an option, also is a recruit. Afterall we did have no kill, knowing I wasn't that would point to biggs firmly. Else we have a doc who targeted me or biggs, but then I'm reluctant as all this info is out in the open it's easy for cult to fake claim
Forty said a specific un-named player’s intel was not infiltrated, not that no intel was infiltrated.
I’m still not sure how much this information can be trusted, but given our current concerns about cult I’m also worried this is the only phase we can make use of it.
The information I got last night was that Biggs is town. I don’t know if I was infiltrated, and if this is a cult game I don’t know what the order of operations would be. I’m concerned this is going to become a Biggs vs Ebon clash as time winds down given the information about scum visits, and I think we need as clear a picture as we can get.

I know, just saying one doens't imply the other, although it does lean that way

interesting, but counter point if you're a cult leader biggs was pushing you yesterday and is anyway a good recruit... makes sense as you 2 are in the 4 unknowns

Even though it's just my word, to my knowledge I'm still town

I’m not tho, and my comment when Cal pushed me should make it clear to town that I’m doing my level best to find scum.

I believe biggs and I are a good punt today, it solves some of the analysts night actions, gives us a trust baseline. Also biggs play D1 re Analysts seems odd.
All very interesting.
I wonder if scum have the ability to block intel entirely (Biggs) or manipulate the data a player receives?
Will review the intel again later, but assuming two scum, are our best odds of hitting scum going off wagon?

The "not sure from who" part seems like an odd detail.
I'm not ready to reveal the nature of how I know this, but I assume if this came from someone then they can probably verify the claim

Yeah, I think that's our best bet, assuming the information that was given to me was correct.
I don't want to reveal more than that, but I can if town thinks it would help. It is troubling if there is an infiltration/cult mechanic at play here.
I’m relatively comfortable keeping my vote on Cal. He hasn’t appeared to pick up my town tell, and I think his argument to vote off the wagon may have been one of those “tell all of the truth except for the part about being not being town” gambits.
My concern of course would be cult, and not voting one of the players we know were visited. Ebon seems to think we should leave the question of him and Biggs for another day, which seems like it would be a pretty good move if he got turned last night.
As for Biggs, I’m choosing to trust the result I received last night.
Although, did anyone else get their info in full caps?
1 minute ago, Madaghmire said:Although, did anyone else get their info in full caps?
I did. And boy, does BIGGSIRL look funny in all caps.
I'm inclined to vote Cal. Going down his "Ebon or Madaghmire" rabbit trail isn't REALLY a 50/50 because we don't know if Cal is town. Almost certainly though, between Cal, Ebon and Mad, at least one of them is scum.
Option 1: Believe Cal. Vote Ebon or Mad. If one flips town, vote the other. If the other flips town too, vote Cal. (If we haven't lost the game already.)
Option 2: Vote Cal. If he's town, vote Mad or Ebon.
I like Option 2 better, not because the odds are better of finding scum on the first try (they look equal to me) but because I think Cal is dodging and weaving, hoping we'll get off his back (he was already looking scummiest to most of us before his reveal today). His dodge of my question suggests to me he's just bluffing the whole thing.
##vote @Caldias
Why don't we kill two birds with one stone and vote Ebon? He was visited, and not on the train.
That being (half jokingly) said, I can see the logic for voting Cal, and am willing to go along with it if I can't find a more likely scum. It seems the major options are:
1) Biggs, because he was visited,
2) Ebon, ditto and because of Cal's evidence,
3) Mad, because of Cal, or
4) Cal, because of his evidence.
I am personally more concerned with the visitations than killing Cal to double-check his evidence. Those at least would answer the fear of a cult, which has to be caught early and is far more deadly than regular scum.
Ebon, as I said above, fits both catagories and thus seems the more efficient target, but he crumbed early and Biggs is generally more suspicious as a result of what has already been discussed, so I would prefer to vote him.
Obviously, there is the probability that there is no cult and so the visit indicates towniness in both of them, which makes Cal the safest option, and is why I am willing to vote for him first. But I still think voting Biggs is worth the risk.

I’m willing to vote Ebon, his crumb was good but I wouldnt be voting him because I thought he started the game as scum. I’d be voting from concern over the visitation
I just feel like voting Biggs, for me, is the kind of thing I’d be railing at myself for if I was say, watching in observers. “Wtf is wrong with this phluckwit?” I’d yell into the ether. “He got a town result and he’s letting people convince him to vote the ONE GUY he has that kind of info on?”

valid, but please reconsider with above correction, and that if I die today we will be another town down. So either biggs is lying or Cal is, or scum somehow failed...
@madagh
@Madaghmire I noticed your tell, but I know you're good at subterfuge, so I am more trusting the info I got that either you or Ebon is the best place to look.

why do you wish to look off wagon though? and can you explain me outside of the possible scum visit which as said I have no idea of.
also point of fact, if you believe i was recruited etc then my claims about Draven earlier where true, as I wouldn't have been scum when making them.. Cal's game seems odd but that could be pushback from his push. anyone bed

Punt to me means you push it off. But I think this is idiomatic, and now that I think about it you probably aren’t referencing American Football.

On Matt: Forty, Pod, Biggs, Bertie, Ghost
Off Matt: Me, Mads, Ebon
Assuming we have 2 scum, if exactly one was on the train then exactly one is off, and there's less people in the off vote pool, and I have the added benefit of knowing that I'm town, so for me it's easily a coin flip between Ebon and Mads
