Kebiin begins to sweat under her helmet as she hurriedly starts to work on the Kom’rk’s engine module. They had just finished delivering some relief supplies from Haven to a resistance camp on Mandalore when they’d been called to a rendezvous. Unfortunately, there were TIEs between the camp and the rendezvous. She’d made a controlled landing, but now they were stranded out in the middle of nowhere, nothing but the scorched earth of Mandalore all around, and there was an Imp transport inbound. Tam had sent out a distress beacon, but there was no way they’d get here in time. The ship shudders as the TIE harassing them makes another pass, guns blazing.

Kebiin swears and rushes to the cockpit controls. She activates the repulsors and fights with the yoke, bringing the ship's nose up, tracking the TIE across the sky.. When the targeting computer let out a tone, indicating a positive lock, Kebiin pulls the trigger, sending laser fire into the annoying fighter. Burning through the light armor, hitting a fuel cell, turning it into a ball of flame and shrapnel.

Tam moves to the control council near the back of the cockpit, ant initiates a slicing program to gain access to the Imperial Transport.. Hang on vod'ika, I'm getting into their system.... now. Her screen lights up with menu screens showing status readouts for the transport.

As the Transport continues speeding towards your position, three more blips appear on the sensors, coming up quickly.

firfeck, Kebiin curses, Hang on Tam, we have three more coming in, you might want to start on them too! She pulls back on the controls, drifting the ship back and to the side, bringing the transport to bare and keeping her weapons pointing roughly in the direction of the three incoming signals. Kebiin pulls the trigger back as soon as the transport is in the targeting brackets, hitting with a glancing blow, rocking it on its repulsors.

Tam tries deactivating the Transports weapon systems, but realized she was running out of time.. Keb'ika, I need more time to disable their weapons, best I can do is disrupt their targeting sensors. That'll force them to shoot blind, or not at all...

The transport decelerates and fires at you, but with their weapons array tampered with, their shots go high. They just miss the cockpit, exposing them to an easy shot.

The blips keep closing, and as they near, they are revealed to be more TIE fighters, inbound at high speed. Just when it seems like the situation couldn't get much worse, two more blips appear on the edge of the scanner, approaching quickly.

Kebiin takes a couple of shots at the incoming TIEs, but can't tell how bad they've been hit from this distance.. Tam, Hows it coming with that Transport? We have two more incoming!

Tam had to work quickly, but couldn't get the cannons in time.. Ok, I've managed to get the launchers off line, we might have to take it out before those TIEs.. I'll work on slicing the fighters.

The two blips scream across the screen towards your position, but veer off and fly right into the incoming TIEs, guns blazing. The lead fighter, now revealed to be a fang fighter, shoots down two of the TIEs in a blaze of fire as the wingman mops up the last one. The transport opens its doors to deploy its complement of jetpack troopers as it fires at your ship, but the shots go high again as the gunner fails to compensate for the tampered array.

The Fang fighters arc back around and speed toward you, the leader opens a comm channel to Tam and says, We're coming in hot, hang on to your shebs! They zip past, just over your ship, strafing at the stormtroopers descending towards Jurir Gotabor'e . Several troopers are disintegrated by the hail of fire, and a couple others are reduced to mush as the starfighter slams through them.

Kandosii! Kebiin cheers, dropping the ships nose a fraction and lets loose with the Komr'k's cannons.. scoring heavy hits in the transports repulsor-lift assembly, sending black smoke into the sky.

Tam renews her efforts in disabling the transports weapons, so it'll be defenseless against the Komr'k and Fangs.

I think I got it.... icons on her readouts switched from red to green, little smiley face icons would be littering the transports screens now, adding to the confusion.. I got it!! She clapped her hands, elated with her victory. Smiling to herself, she uploaded a music file into the Imperial commlinks, thumping bass and electric distortion will be filling the troopers earpieces, making one on one communication impossible.

The transport turns and starts to limp away as Tam and Kebiin hear the sounds of boots landing on the ship (and the muted tones of blasting music). The fighter pilot swears as she starts to pull off towards the transport, There's nothing we can do about the bucketheads, you'll have to get them. Come on, vod! I'll set this hut'uun up for you. They chase down the transport and as the leader comes down on them, they veer to the side, right into the gunsights of her wingman. Oya! We got him! Scope's clear.

Tam, I'm setting us down.. there's no way to shake these troopers off while our engines are down. Kebiin said, setting the Kom'rk down on the scorched ground. She secured the controls and set the anti-theft system and joined Tam at the hatch, ready to disembark.

Tam checked over her pistol, Ready ner vod?

Ready. Kebiin replied, checking her own pistol, she reached for the hatch controls...

There are a few more clunks that echo through the ship as they move around, and then a clunk as one of them bumps the hatch.

Kebiin opens the hatch, and immediately opens fire on the first two Stormtroopers she sees, riddling them with blaster fire, breaching their armor.

Tam opens fire on a third, getting him in the exposed area of his neck.

The remaining Stormtrooper returns fire, nailing Tam in the shoulder.

Tam reels back to cover, AHH, shabla dar'verd!!

Tam! Kebiin yells, taking aim at the Trooper and returns fire, hitting him twice in the chest.

The trooper falls back, dead. The Fang fighters continue to circle, and the leader comms Tam and Kebiin, Everything alright down there? You're clear from up here.

Yeah, Kebiin answers, My vod caught a round in her shoulder.. but we're alive. Thanks for the assist!

Tam exits the ship and collected the Troopers weapons and began inspecting their jetpacks.

Jate. Ni Ver'alor Kyra Vanth be Nite Owls' can'gal traat'aliit. Tion gar Tam bal Kebiin?

Vi cuyir Kebiin confirms. We have some damage to our engines, do you have time to spare? We could use some air cover, so we get ourselves repaired and on our way.

Kih'parjai. We'll provide escort once you're airborne.

Kebiin helps Tam load the dead troopers and their gear on the ship, then gets started on repairs the the engines. within 20 minutes or so, the repairs are complete and they lift up into the air.

Kebiin keys hey mic and hails the fighters. Nite Owl fighters, repairs are complete, we are prepared to follow you home, over.

Copy. Taking up escort.

After another 20 minutes or so, the base is in sight. It doesn't look all that impressive from up here, but it does its job. The base consists of a large, temporary tarmac, a large main tent, and a variety of smaller tents for individuals or small groups. There is a hastily assembled fence around the perimeter and a few landspeeders parked just inside.
They guide you down to the landing pad and the lieutenant jumps out of her fighter and heads towards the main tent. Her wingman comms over to you as he approaches your ship. I'm Ravik Eldar. You can leave your stuff in the ship, you won't be here long.
