So I finally bought in and painted some legion. (Clone wars sealed it, always wanted clone minis). First bit of painting in 6 months, been a bit of a hiatus.

Finished a couple of test clones out after settling on colours. Heavily 212th inspired (always a fan of orange on stuff!) , but not going overboard with markings on the grunts (I wanna try and do em quick 😆 ) but a little more detailing on the unit leaders.

- White undercoat (wilko craft)
- Vallejo German grey for black areas
- Fire Dragon Bright for unit colour
- 50/50 shade (nuln oil / lahian medium)
- Drybrush (boots) - mix of mournfang brown, kislev flesh and troll slayer orange

Bases:
- WWS Fine red mixed stone
- Fuegan Orange Wash
- Fire Dragon bright drybrush

I see why you like the orange. It’s a really bright contrast. I think its sets the bases off well too.

Cheers, In the end I decided a few extra details would look nice AND hide a few rough wash marks

Thought I'd see how fast I could knock out a droid unit, managed to get these to basing in around 7hours. (Bar the gluing together, my god the gluing!). Just a base wash/drybrush and battle damage details to go.

- Base : Humbrol Desert Tan Spray
- Unit Markings : Yriel Yellow
- Shade : 50/50 Agrax Earthshade / Lahmian Medium
- Drybrush Highlight : Screaming Skull
- Weapons : Vallejo Metal Colour GunMetal Grey / Nuln Oil

Obi Wan nearly finished, just the base to go. Used a lahmain glaze with baharroth blue, looks ok, but a little heavy in places.

Thanks, I intended to use a similar looking transfer to save time, but it wouldn't lay flat, so had to bite the bullet and freehand it. Pretty pleased though, it forced me to push myself

I like them a lot, although I have just purchased the Star Wars Legion Core set, see-ing these does make me want to but the Clone wars core boxed set as well! Really nice work.
