You disappoint me...

Wow - beautiful job my friend! That's a tough gradient on the saber, and you nailed it - and you've also made me want to go back and up the OSL on his leg because yours looks so perfect. GORGEOUS!

Thanks! I tried not to go too overboard with the OSL. And the magic ingredient on the saber this time round, was adding Vallejo flouresent orange to mix

Great job on the army! Where'd you get the terrain? It looks really good!

Cheers! As for the Terrain, they are MDF kits, mostly from TT Combats' "Sci Fi Utopia" range

Mind sharing your colors / approach for Dooku’s skin? He looks fantastic.

Thank you!

Sure, It's GW Kislev Flesh, shaded with Reikland Fleshshade (with a few drops of lahmain medium to dilute it a little and improve flow, applied very carefully so it didn't get over the eye whites). Then Kislev flesh for mid highlights, then some small light highlights using a 1:1 mix of Kislev + Screaming Skull. I'll put up some face zoom images I took later this eve.

Actually here you go, it's an Instagram link, so may not show up properly on a desktop, but click through as I've just posted the close ups on there ;)

A couple of good buddies and I finally got all this stuff on the table tonight for our first game, much rules learned, many mistakes
made, but awesome fun all round. Made sure to take my camera for some pics (one of my mates sometimes... "deliberates" his turn, so I knew there would be some down time to take pics haha!).

Nice! Great pics, too! How did you like the scenery for tabletop use? Heavy enough to resist shifting with a casual bump? Flat surfaces sufficient to put minis on? Easy enough to distinguish difficult terrain, cover, etc?

Yeah, it works well. I just tried to set up a symmetrical table for the intro game, no real bump or move issues. We don't really have any difficult terrain yet, but I have some ideas (I'm thinking an artillery blasted trench line would be cool).

Some shots of my droid army so far. Droid and clone upgrade packs have been primed, looking forward to getting my hands on the Phase 2's and B2's next week (fingers crossed).

Clone Captain in progress (just base to go).

Clone captain finished. Though I'd paint the clone upgrades one at a time for now, take a break from batch painting.

Clone DP-23 almost done, just base to go.

Those are insanely good. I miss having a steady hand and good eyes.

Cheers man!

For the eyes, I use some mag glasses (though I try not rely too much on them) as for hands, mine can actually shake a lot at times!

But I use certain hand positions coupled with bracing against my desk to help steady them. I actually took some images and made a post to help people having trouble with steady hands the other day...

DP-23 Clone finished.

Took a few shots of the generator terrain I painted up a few weeks ago.

• Black primer > Light spray of dark grey primer > Minimal spray of light grey primer.
• Drybrushed with Revell Aquacolor Light grey
• Weathered with some Typhus Corrosion (drybrush / cotton bud for blending)

Parts are MDF kits from TT Combat (generator) and Tyr Terrain (landing pad).

Clone upgrade pack almost finished. My Phase 2's and the saber have arrived! So trying to bang these and the droid upgrades out so I can get cracking on those!

They look almost like a commando squad.

Some WIP on the Radiation Cannon Droid...

B1 Radiation Cannon and E5S Sniper finished. My B2s arrived yesterday, so gonna start on those guys next, and get back to the other 2 B1 upgrades later.

Got to work on my first squad of B2s this week (second in the mail), almost done, just the bases to finish. Loved working on these guys, so quick to get to a nice standard :D

Base: Leadbelcher spray
Mid-drift: Vallejo Gunmetal Grey Air (with brush)
Wash: 4 : 1 Nuln : Drakenhof + a few of drops of lahmain
Light: Troll slayer orange + 2 layers of Bloodletter Glaze (tiny highlight of Fire dragon bright mixed with Yriel Yellow

Also decided to try my hand at some muzzle burn on the B2-HA, Drakenhof shade > Druchii violet > Seraphim sepia. Applied quickly to help it blend together a bit.

Those look fantastic!

I agree on the models. After the slog of putting 6 squads of B1's together it was nice to have some droids that could be quickly assembled and easily painted in a day.

WIP on my first squad of Phase 2's (At the head of my quarantine painting queue!)
