Verpine sniper rifle and attachments, wait for an open air speaking event, take possession of the Munificent. Easy-peasy

Also, depending on the timing of the mission, how do you feel about an attempt (or more if funds and travel time allow it) to craft a weapon?
I'm thinking of a super-light weight version of a heavy blaster rifle, one which would make it easier to add Componentization, etc. to for sneaking around urban areas which frown upon visible weapons.

Travel is only about 7 hours before factoring in reduction from Advantage on Astrogation.

So no crafting on this trip. But maybe some useful weapon attachments?

I do have attachment crafting houserules, and you could attempt to mod things. Here's a link to the crafting sheet . Any Attachment crafting profiles require approval since it's still a WIP and they aren't all playtested.

Thank you for the link!
I skimmed the attachments briefly, and did not see the three which I'd mentioned (Componentization, Lightweight Frame, and Scanner-Proof Hardware). They're from Cyphers and Masks (I don't know if they made it into Gadgets and Gear ).

Yeah, I don't have CaM or Gadgets and Gear, so I'd need you to give me the stats.

Here you go ...
From Cyphers and Masks p. 56-57 (not including all the weapon attachments there):
Componentization: Cost 1,150 cr., Hard points 2, Rarity 5, can be applied to any weapon with an Encumbrance of 2 or less.
Base Modifiers: Allows a weapon to be broken into pieces and disguised as other items. A character must make a Formidable (5) Mechanics or Skulduggery check to deduce that the items are weapon parts.
Modification Options: none.
Lightweight Frame: Cost 650 cr., Hard points 1, Rarity 3, can be applied to any weapon.
Base Modifiers: Reduces a weapon's Encumbrance by 1 to a minimum of 1.
Modification Options: 1 Reduce the weapon's Encumbrance by 1 to a minimum of 1 Mod.
Scanner-Proof Hardware: Cost 1,000 cr. (R), Hard points 2, Rarity 6, can be applied to any weapon.
Base Modifiers: The weapon cannot be detected by standard weapon-detecting technologies. Characters using advanced scanners must make a Hard (3) Computers check to find the weapon. Physical body searches can still locate the weapon as usual. GMs may spend 2 Threat or 1 Despair on a combat check to render the weapon inoperable, requiring a major repair before it can be used again.
Modification Options: 1 Reduce the weapon's Encumbrance by 1 to a minimum of 1 Mod.

I'm not inclined to allow any of those with materials (credits) on hand. Those seem complex enough that they would require a rarity check (rarity is +3 on Vorpa'ya). I'll see about adding them to the crafting sheet.
Do you want to try and make a rarity check for the resources to craft them?
By the way, Stripped Down is a different version of Lightweight Frame. Basically, you take out/off as much stuff as you can. It takes 3 HP and reduces Encumbrance by 1 with a couple mod options for reducing it further, but is 0 credits to craft and is just an Average check and 4 hours.

Oh, and it adds a Setback to Perception checks made to see a concealed weapon.

I forgot to have Kurak get you the info on Thorned Circle. When we changed plans with the Barabel, I forgot to account for it. I'll mention that you received a datapackage from him, to go through later.
Von hasn't posted, but Tramp hasn't been on. If @Tramp Graphics doesn't have anything he wants to post, I'll get on with the narration and job info.
Ge’tal is probably at the bar getting drunk or into fights (or both) 😈 Anyone com with?
Edited by Tramp Graphics@Bellona , I've added those three attachments to the crafting sheet.
Alright, somebody please give me an Average group Knowledge (Outer Rim) check for information about Garos IV.
Oh, and @P-47 Thunderbolt can I buy a pair of crushgaunts?
Just now, Tramp Graphics said:Oh, and @P-47 Thunderbolt can I buy a pair of crushgaunts?
No. Not here.

Asked the same thing.. but we can get them from Kara and Cades clan home.. just so happens our target is in charge of the Blockade in the area...so, finish our mission, shipments from our secret home can continue..

I'm actually taking that back, that was a bad call. The information I was gating behind that is stuff I should just give you. If you want additional information, tell me what you'd like to know and I may call for a check.
Licensing fees (if necessary) count for the expense account, but here's an explanation so you know sort of what to expect in the future for worlds with similar laws:
Weapon restrictions:
Those with a valid bounty-hunting license may bypass the licensing requirement on legal weapons, but are required to disclose their target, the payment, and any conditions.
Firearms:
All legal firearms larger in class than a pistol (basically short carbine and up) must be licensed (50cr).
Pistols must be open-carried unless the owner has a concealed-carry permit, and I don't think you want to jump through hoops to get one.
Firearms larger in class than a pistol cannot be open-carried in the city, though are legal to transport.
Some (R) weapons are restricted, others require an additional 50cr fee.
Melee weapons:
All legal melee weapons longer than 18 inches (~45cm) must be licensed (25cr).
Bladed weapons longer than 18 inches (~45cm) are restricted, either outright banned or requiring an additional 50cr.
Destructive weapons:
Explosives and anti-vehicle/materiel weapons are illegal.
Ships weapons:
All weapons fire within the system is illegal except in self-defense.
Armor:
Armor is restricted and requires a license fee of (Soak+Defense)*25. This includes Armored Clothing, but they can't tax it if they can't see it.
Laminate and Heavy Battle Armor is illegal, with cultural exceptions. So Mandalorians still have to license their armor, but are allowed to wear it.

What's to stop someone at the licensing bureau (or whoever bounty hunters are supposed to disclose this information to) from leaking the disclosed information to the target?

Yes.

Indeed.
Does a situation like that result in the bounty hunters being arrested by the local authorities?
Or do the local authorities shadow the bounty hunters/get in their way as much as possible (license checks, etc.)?
Or does the target simply go into protective custody/bunker down?

It depends on the place. Go ahead and make an Easy Knowledge (Outer Rim) check to see if you can find out how Garos IV handles it.

If someone else has a better pool (e.g. a skill rank), they may attempt the check.

"Death Watch has staged some high-casualty terrorist attacks on Garos for the expressed cause of striking back against the Separatists for encroaching on Mandalorian space. Admiral Qorbin, in turn, has been using this as leverage to try and convince Duchess Satine to allow the Separatists into Mandalorian space to put an end to Death Watch. Here's the catch: I have it on good authority that Death Watch has been working with the Separatists all along, and their attacks have been false-flags, intended to manipulate the New Mandalorians into allowing Separatists forces into their space and eventually to bring them into the fold."
I'm wondering: why would Death Watch work towards letting the CIS into Mandalorian space with a view to Mandalore becoming part of the CIS? I thought that DW wanted Mandalore to become the head of a new, expansionistic Mandalorian empire, not just join another political entity.
Unless DW are being played as stooges, and are unaware of the CIS endgame?
