Nice. You (obviously) got it that time. Anything you want to do with the Advantage?

Let’s take the Familiar Code to take the 2 extra success from the check to add to a future check for 3 advantage, and the last advantage for Elegant Coding for a boost on next computers check.

And then with the last action I have time for I’d like to try and disable the alarms.

Okay.

Okay, Hard Upgraded twice. The party is almost to the door into Gorka's space at this point.

Disable Alarms: 1eP+4eA+1eB+2eC+1eD 1 success, 3 advantage
p-s-a.pnga-s-s.pnga-a.pnga-a.pnga-a.pngb-s-a.pngc-th.pngc-f-f.pngd-f-th.png

And that’s all I can do. I’d like to spend all 3 of the advantage on Lucky Find if possible.

What's Lucky Find?

‘The character discovers a snippet of information on the computer system, unrelated to their current task, which may be of benefit. The nature of the data is up to the GM. Additional Advantage or Triumph on this result may be spent to indicate a particularly critical find. ‘

Okay, I'm thinking. Is that on the Slicing Encounters list from SM, and I'm just blind? I didn't see it.

It’s from the expanded computers rules from Cyphers and Masks, around page 70

Ah, thanks. Don't have that one.

You notice that there is not a droid network, but there is a single droid charging port right next to Gorka's throne room, on the right, near the double doors. Please go ahead and post IC.

Two weeks since last post, so here's a bit of a refresher:

The group has just finished restraining the people in Gorka's security office, and are now ready to head up to Gorka's room. While they were on their way up, Maya worked on slicing the systems. Here are a couple pertinent quotes:

No alarms currently going off. Disabling them is possible, but difficult to do so without being noticed. (Hard, Upgraded twice. If you don't care about raising the alarm, only Average but will alert anyone who has access to the system)
No droid network, but the office is linked to some of the casino games. Could be innocent enough, but might also indicate less than fair practices.
You have access to security feature, but you'll have to address each one as they come up. (varying difficulty)
Blocking communications is an option, but difficult to do without being noticed. (Average, Upgraded twice. If you don't care about raising the alarm, only Easy but will alert anyone who has access to the system)
Security footage is pretty much a given, and can be addressed when we come to it.

The bank of screens gives you a view of most areas of the casino, except for Gorka's inner sanctum. Some of the rooms in his area are recorded, but not his "throne room." I can give you a breakdown of the various locations if you so desire.

From here, you've got a layout of the place and can direct the others. If you want to keep the cameras off them, it'll be an Average check and will take the whole time they are on route. If you want to do other stuff and ignore the cameras, you'll have time for 3 actions.

You notice a control for a blast door that is not a part of the limited schematics Falmok got. It is roughly below Gorka's "throne room" and opens into an alley.

She successfully sealed the blast door beneath Gorka's sanctum after two tries. She also disabled the alarm systems.

Bonuses:
"Covering my Tracks" (2 Setback to attempts to discover the incursion)
"Familiar Code" (2 Success to a future check in the system)
"Elegant Coding" (Boost to next Computers check)
"Lucky Find":

Once Maya's turn has been posted IC, I'll narrate the group's trip up to Gorka's quarters (which was happening simultaneously).

Here's the current initiative order:

1. Falmok 3s2a
2. Kara 3s1a
3. Darien 2s2a
4. Cade 1s2a
5. Ge'tal 3a
6. Maysh'la 2a

Works for me.

@ShockHelix, be sure to check to see if the Hutt has a ship on standby, and lock it down...(also, if it's a Minstrel-class, do @P-47 Thunderbolt a favor and dont tell Cade!) 😄

@RuusMarev, @Tramp Graphics, @ShockHelix.

I know this is something of a bad time to bring this up because of the situation and the current limbo-state of the game, but it is something that just got brought up and I wanted to get your input.

You are about to finish a job that could net you a ton of credits, enough to invest in another small ship.* Perhaps allowing a redistribution of team members, which would give more space for players/characters. (based on living quarters and life support)
I know you've got the Liberator, but the role suggested for it doesn't make much sense for integrating PCs, especially given the crew requirements.

What are your thoughts on having a second party ship and more PCs? I've got someone who's expressed interest, and this would allow potentially more players, or possibly more characters for existing players. This would require something of a shift in style, depending on how many characters/players are added. If only one, and in a starfighter, it wouldn't be a big deal. If we add 3 or more, it might make sense to shift to a more troupe style of play.

*Or not. Depends on how we'd narratively justify the situation (like if a new PC came with their own ship). A starfighter would also be an option, if you were to add a Mandalorian starfighter ace? It would add some flexibility in space combat and solve some of the potential issues with shift in play style.

I’ve got no problem with it

a new ship you say?

with a hanger?

Uh-oh. What are you thinking? 😬

Depending on what route we go, I was picturing a light freighter-size ship or a starfighter.

*Whistles*

Wow, that looks pretty cool. Much bigger (and consequently much more expensive) than I was talking about though.

Sorry it's been so long. With how busy I've been IRL, I completely missed that update that you wanted another post from me. Also yeah, I'd totally be down for a bigger ship. That one looks like it's from FractalSponge, but I don't think any of his stuff is canon, as cool as it looks.

@RuusMarev, how do you want to handle the doors?

Technically speaking they aren't, but many artists have been borrowing his designs for the official comics for a while now... so, I guess we can make some of his designs canon by default... and they look awesome

@P-47 Thunderbolt, I rewatched Rise yesterday, and the CR90 bothers me.. it visually looks smaller than I think its supposed to be?

Far smaller than the Cross section books... do you agree?

Rise? I'm blanking, what are you talking about?
