Unrelated to practically everything - Does anyone know what book the Padawan/Knight classes are in?

Although we're using a house-ruled version of the Padawan tree. (It's on the long version of Mireska's character sheet on MediaFire if you want to see it.)

I actually have that book at home. Not able to find a PDF version of it, but I can see the class descriptions on the Wiki site. Not really interested in them for Chee'Okee, but wanted to read them over for future needs.

Would it be okay to upgrade my Imbue Force power, or should I wait for a certain time in the IC thread? I was going to get the right-most Range increase for 5 pts.

As long as you spend XP on Monday, it applies immediately.

I think I am going to work on increasing that Force power above putting points in anything else (even though finding another tree with Reflect would be nice). I want to dig down to get that Commit Duration increase so I can buff someone from (up to) Medium range and stay safely away. Likely stay at Short Range though, so my Teacher abilities (Skilled Teacher and Improved Wise Warrior) would still function.

EDIT: Although working on Sage some more would be nice, for those sweet Force Rating increases. I will see how I fare with the 3 dice first. Likely won't be committing Enhance and Imbue at the same time, so shouldn't matter too much for now (I am not even sure if I can stack commits anyways).

Jorin will pick up the following from Shien Expert: Street Smarts, 5xp (A3). Reflect 5xp (A4). Shien Technique 10xp (B3). Reflect 10xp (B4) for a total of 30xp.

Do you think the announcement about Asmodee taking over the miniatures will affect this forum at all? Or is the parent organization still FFG?

Asmodee is the parent of ffg and edge studios. They might merge into an asmodee website that has both.

Narrative explanation for the new company:

Krayt Company was an ARF trooper company in the GAR. Its four platoons took the names of creatures such as the varactyl, fyrnock, banshee, and strill. Each platoon was attached to a Jedi General charged with providing reconnaissance services.
Due to both misuse by the Jedi and some missions within their purview that turned into complete fiascos, Krayt Company had a high casualty rate and high command decided to restructure it. They gave some promising rank-and-file troopers additional training in order to replenish the company, and then decided that the ARF trooper force would be best served operating at the company level, with a single Captain and Jedi Commander leading it, rather than split up into its individual platoons.

Krayt Company maintained its prior culture, though they renamed Varactyl Platoon out of respect for the unit, which had been wiped out almost entirely on Akiva. The remnants of Varactyl Platoon form Varactyl Squad, a unit separate from the rank structure and assigned directly to ARC-65.

All the ARF troopers are capable of fighting both on foot and mounted on light vehicles such as the BARC speeder and AT-RT. Banshee Platoon became the Light Vehicle Platoon and was reorganized into two sections of three lances each, one section of BARC speeders and one of AT-RT scouts.
Fyrnock Platoon was reorganized into a Scout Sniper Platoon, and the other two platoons remained first and foremost rifle platoons, though Varactyl Platoon was renamed to Hawkbat Platoon.

ARC Lieutenant ARC-65, formerly the CO of Varactyl Platoon, was promoted to Captain and placed in command of the unit alongside Jedi Commander Jorin Cass, the Padawan of the Jedi who formerly commanded Varactyl Platoon.
The unit was subsequently attached to General Mireska Tanohdi's battalion and placed under her command, though it still maintains a degree of independence since it also needs to conduct missions for other commands.

So Mireska has a battalion and Jorin a company?

How does Ker'see fit into the picture?

She has a small strike squad and a Nexu. It suits her better.

I was under the impression that Ker'see didn't want a command, and that is why I didn't list her.

I thought that she might make use of Fyrnock every now and then, or possibly give them some training, narratively, though probably not as she doesn't strike me as the "teaching" type.

They can learn on the job.

They'd already know their job, but Ker'see is technically a better sniper.

There's no technical about it. If they dare got for her title they'll never see her coming...

Shut the front door... does Smuggler:Gambler really get Dedicated for only 10 points? lol

Doesn't sound very dedicated to me...

Not exactly, because you have to go way around and take a really wonky route to get to it. You can't just grab it from the bottom row, you've got to spend 125 XP to get it.

You do? I thought you could take anything from the second row if you have all of the top row?

No, you have to follow the lines. You don't have to take all of a row before moving on, and taking all of a row doesn't give you the ability to take any talent in the next row.

I read the rules for it now. Weird placement for them to draw up the tree like that.

Yeah, there are a couple really wonky trees. Gambler and Slicer come to mind.

Juyo from the Warrior sourcebook also has some unusual paths (basically two spirals).

Looks like I made Chee'Okee correctly at least.

SuperWookie cranks his Ithorian throat chanting music and prepares for another work day. He's getting too old for this poodoo.

Opening his work log, he sees a ticket to assist @EliasWindrider , and after helping him with his datapad issues, the customer rewards him with some XP. Enough XP that SuperWookie plans to invite his friends to happy hour, after work, at the local cantina.

Maybe if we get our GM up on the cantina's karaoke stage and get him rocking to some new groove, some extra XP falls out to his adoring fans below?
