Can we still use the mentor discount to buy the basic version of a Force power? Or would you prefer that we get back to a temple first, or find a PC/NPC teacher who has that power?

Which power you looking for?

Mireska is thinking of investing in the basic Move power.

Ah, Ker'see doesn't know that one.

Sure

Then I'll probably get the basic Bind power with the discount.

@EliasWindrider So, with no objections to the adversary talent from Anomalous, does that clear me for posting IC or is there something else you need me to be working on?

You're clear to post ic, but I'll need the campaign spanning character growth story arc involving your duty and obligation.

@AnomalousAuthor @ShockHelix

Out of curiosity, do either Wraith or Condor have the jaig eyes?

Edited by Bellona

Condor doesn't. He might potentially get them later if something worthy happens IC but for the moment none of Balyeg squad does.

The what?

@AnomalousAuthor

it’s the ‘eyes’ painted over the top of Rex’s helmet.

Thanks. Didn’t know those were supposed to be eyes.

And, Wraith does not. Although, after doing some googling, it’s a possibility for future character development.

The full name is something I’d never try to type without a copy/paste, but it translates to ‘shriek hawk eyes’ based on the shriek hawk from Mandalore. It’s supposed to be a combat honor stemming from Mandalore, and is earned through exceptional feats or surviving severe injury in combat. Basically it takes someone else deciding you’re worthy of them. I believe the Clone Troopers adopted it as a tradition inherited from the Cuy’val Dar, along with a bunch of other Mandalorian traditions (wearing a Kama is the best other example I can think of at the moment.)

@EliasWindrider Our current group is a mix of clones and non-standard Jedi "generals" (huntress, detective, healer, plus the possibly more standard MIA PCs). Are we basically a special ops group in a GAR Corps/Division or a GAR Legion/Brigade?

If so, which one (e.g., 7th Sky Corps, 212th, 501st), and who're the Jedi and clone (marshal) commander in charge (the "higher-ups")?

For example, ShockHelix' IC post mentioned a Commander Blackout (presumably a clone).

Commander Blackout is canonically a Special Ops Clone Commander. He was actually onboard the Stealth Ship for this mission, as was Admiral Yularen, but since neither of them have been shown to be on the Stealth ship so far, and if he’s on the Negotiator he would be in charge of Balyeg Squad since he’s the spec ops commander, I figured I’d name drop him. Granted that doesn’t work if we’re with a completely different division and the only thing the same is the star destroyer is the Negotiator.

Jedi are nominally in charge (oversight to prevent abuse of power), yularen is otherwise in charge of the fleet. You guys are the only and therefore highest ranking jedi in system.

Sounds like you’d each have your own Venator and Battalion/Legion then. From what I understand, each Jedi Knight and Master did anyway. Kenobi had the Negotiator and the 212th Attack Battalion, Anakin had the 501st Legion and the Resolute, and Windu had the Endurance and 187th Legion. Considering Kenobi doesn’t have the Negotiator, it sounds like Shin Ethan would have the 212th since he has the Negotiator, and someone else in the group would probably have the 501st and the Resolute since Anakin isn’t around either, unless @EliasWindrider has any objections to that.

On a completely different topic (although I do want to know eventually who we report to, even if they're not in-system with us) ...

Thanks to Oggdude's program, I just realised that apparently one can wear something like Armoured Clothing (with the inserts) and the Wing Commander Flight Suit simultaneously. The armoured clothing's better values take precedence re Soak and the Defences (no stacking, obviously), but presumably the flight suit's other qualities (reducing Strain taken from vehicle crits and reduction of fire/Burn damage) also work. Currently only the flight suit's Strain-reduction quality is useful to Mireska (due to her Protective Amulet and Armoured Clothing), plus the disguise of looking relatively mundane - at least until she uses a lightsabre or does some obvious Force stuff.

The real point that I'm making is that now she has 3 more points of Encumbrance for lugging more charges in her "backpack of destruction". With that taken into account, she now has 1 Shaped Charge and 2 Demolition Charges in her gear (as well as the Demolition Kit, Engineering Scanner, and more usual stuff).

Armored clothing has 3 enc (the max that's free while wearing it, 3 free enc total not 3 free enc each), the wing commander adds 2 on top of it so not having armored inserts in backpack only saves you 1 enc not 3.

No objection.

Oggdude's program definitely disagrees that. Looks like there's either a bug of sorts or a difference of opinion/interpretation - not sure which.

(And if there's no double-dipping with the -3 encumbrance when wearing both, then wouldn't adding the flight suit add 3 encumbrance instead of 2? Both items have 3 encumbrance when just carried.)

Anyway, I'll off-load those extra charges.

You add up the encumbrance of armor and subtract 3 from the total. That's RAW, if oggdude's generator says differently it's a bug.

I've updated the character sheet to show that Mireska ditched the flight suit in favour of more charges (+1 Shaped, +1 Destro). So now she just has "a breathing mask for show" (which I didn't bother to put on the sheet).

@Bellona gets 5 xp.

Is there anything else people want to change before we launch this mission. And can someone state the plan?
