@RuusMarev what's Jorin' moral strength and weakness? Record morality of 50 on your sheet. I need a campaign spanning character growth story arc from you.

@ShockHelix did I ever get a campaign spanning character growth story arc from you?

Sorry for the delay. I have the outline for Jorin written up with Strength and Weakness and Morality of 50.

Let me know if I need to add anything :)

I read your sheet... what type(s) of crystal(s) do you really want. If you aren't jonesing for a christophsis crystal, maybe we should hold off on you losing the saber/ilum crystal until we can get you the crystal you really want. But if you angling for a cyclic crystal array then we should go ahead with the christophsis crystal now. As a general rule I don't allow gear that allows character to bypass the parry talent (which the ghost fire crystal can do with 4 advantage), but if you don't want that feature, if you want something that keeps you from being seen until you attack... we can't make that work.

If you're looking for a "quiet lightsaber" (for sneaking around with in addition to a regular saber) this

https://star-wars-rpg-ffg.fandom.com/wiki/Philaxian_Phase-Knife

kind of fits the bill and would work well with the sentry spec. Sentry is from endless vigil the sentinel career book, it has several cool talents like constant vigilance, impossible fall, improved saber throw, you might be interested in 2 ranks of sleight of mind. I've always thought that the impossible fall talent would have been a great way to survive order 66.

Ghost Fire with Cyclic Array was the plan, but if the Ghost Fire is unavailable, then we'll have Jorin read about, and look into getting a Phase Knife.

I don't have the Sentinel source book at the moment just Force and Destiny Core Book. (working on it though, along with Unlimited Power)

I'm planning on Jorin entering the Shadow tree on being Knighted. (If that is allowed)

You can find a phase knife rather than reading about it... it's a +1 damage weapon good for throwing (can return for 2 advantages instead of force pips) all specs are available to be taken, I'm not going to disallow them.

@RuusMarev ... you'll be able to find a phase knife in the next session (immediately after christophsis, before getting significant down time you have to rescue jabba's son, there's a natural opportunity to pick one up among scum and villainy). But given that ghost fire is out what's your preferred crystal?

Sounds good.

As for the crystal, I would have to read up on that.

For now, I'll go with the Christophis crystal. :)

Today I learned... That per Sam Stewart, the cost of mods doesn't scale. It isn't 100 for the first, 200 for the second, etc. it is just 100 each. I have adjusted Camouflage's sheet accordingly.

I managed to find Endless Vigil at the local store! Yay, no waiting a month for Amazon! ( now to find Unlimited Power..)

Oggdude's character creation/sheet program agrees with Sam Stewart.

This.

If Mireska survives long enough to accumulate the XP for more trees than her immediate plans, then she intends to dive into some of the Sentinel trees.

Just so Jorin and I are clear; how much xp to purchase the Sentinel Trees (Shadow or Sentry)?

I think I was told 20xp per tree, but I just wanted to verify.

(Sentry is looking very interesting..)

Number of specs you will have after purchasing x 10 +10 if it's an out of career non universal spec. So 30 xp for the first of those 2, and 40 xp for the second. Knight would cost 20 xp as a second spec, 30 if it was your third spec because it is in career (jedi career).

ouch, Ok. ( you would think they would be careers for Jedi..)

I'm still seriously considering the Shadow/Sentry... a Shadowy Sentry, if you will... 😄

(I'm also looking at the Philaxian knife, along with possibly a Shoto with Overcharged Power Cell, Etaan crystal, Reflex grip. But we'll see..)

Oh my god, I gotta redo my costs. That’s gonna free me up quite a few credits

Gave me an extra 2500 credits after redoing the calculations.

Say @EliasWindrider , how much downtime do we have between the ship crash and the start of our next encounter?

Next encounter has already started but as a retcon there might be 30 hours of unoccupied time spread over 10 days (star wars week has 5 days, so 2 star wars weeks)

I should have said this yesterday but @Bellona @MrTInce @P-47 Thunderbolt @RuusMarev you get 5 xp. @ShockHelix as a 1 time only I'm going to award you 5 xp under extenuating circumstances 1) you made an ooc post 2) you claimed you are a medical professional pulling extra shifts during the Corona virus pandemic which cost you the time you needed to post in character. Thank you for taking real life risks to protect us all.

Sweet. Going to get some mental bond action!

Spent 5 XP on the Control: Piloting - Planetary upgrade for Enhance power. MediaFire files and SWSheets have been updated.

For the sabotage excursion, Mireska will be taking along the demolitions kit which is normally stored in her personal quarters post-crash. She still has 6 encumbrance left over for lugging actual sabotage charges.

If I recall correctly, which I'm not sure I do the reflex grip is only useful when using cunning to make lightsaber attacks so you'd need either shien expert or force sensitive outcast (universal spec from one of the clone wars books) official specs or the "jedi:ronin" campaign allowed homebrew spec to benefit from a reflex grip (assuming I'm remembering the gist of the reflex grip attachment correctly). Shien expert has the shien technique talent outcast which lets you use cunning for lightsaber attacks, force sensitive and ronin have the "renegade form" talent which lets you pick one attribute to use for lightsaber attacks.

Also so we're on the same page overcharged power cell is +/-1 damage (for 1 advantage or 2 threat) not +/-n damage (where n is either number of advantages or half the number of threat)

Huh.. I'll have to recheck the wording.. I don't remember seeing the Cunning restriction.. (the shoto would be after purchasing the new trees, if at all..)

Shien Reverse Grip is the one I think you might be thinking of with the Cunning checks.

Reflex: When a character uses the Parry or Reflect incidentals with a Lightsaber that has a reflex grip installed, the character suffers 1 additional strain, but counts her (or his) ranks in Perry and Reflect as 1 higher.

(1 Defensive +1 mod, 1 Deflection +1 mod)

(Endless Vigil, pg 52.)

You are correct.... I wasn't sure I was remembering the Re[*] Grip correctly

Thanks for the extra XP Elias, and sorry again for being so slow.

I'll pick up some of the Shaped Thermal Grenades for Condor and Boomstick, then I'll spend 20 XP for a 4th rank in Mechanics for Condor. And then I'll make use of that 30 hours of downtime for a crafting block.

Crafting Block. First go. 30 Hours, 2900 Credits

Simple Tool: Slicer Gear (Computers) (SM84) 50 credits, 2 hours.

Crafting : 3eP+1eA+1eD 1 success, 3 advantage

3x advantage for 3x Practice Makes Perfect. Scrap the Result

What the actual. . . . I'll uhh. I'll take Supreme Craftsmanship and Safety Features for the bonuses.

25 Hours, 2700 credits. Before I go any further, @EliasWindrider , would you rather it have the Difficult to Repair, Delicate, or 2x Heavy. If it matters to your decision, I plan on leaving it with his personal belongings at the base.

2x Heavy is most realistic considering it's basically an uber toolkit (or did i.miss the point of it)
