Also It is Average not Easy

Oh.. I couldn’t find the difficulty, so I just used the pool Jedi used. Also, I don’t necessarily think Deception will be a possibility, just because our Stealth rolls are not good. It was either/or, and I assume Stealth Failure will have consequences that may be hard to Deceive our way out of...

This was Plan B, Zoroku was planning for a Fight. It seemed inevitable for him.

Also don't forget the second purple die it is average not easy.

Oops. Forgot about the second purple die.
Krios can use brawl. Safer than lightsaber.
If the skill checks fail do we rush the ship and take it and try to hold off the guards from there?

I meant that deception after success, not after a Fail.

Zoroku tends to upgrade his lightsaber checks to hard so that he can use his best attack pool it means my saber doesn't have breach and I guarantee non kills. However with Droids we don't need to hold back. Destroy the droids disable the organics.

To clarify, you can choose to make a group check, either a stealth or deception check. Both checks have a boost dice. You will need a net of 5 successes to pass the check, either having you guys sneak two the door, or act as if you walked through it. Everyone rolls their individual roll, and then the totals are added up.

So ultimately it will be 5 checks, either 5 stealth or 5 deception

You didn't mention including a Setback dice in the post quoted above.

Should we include a Setback die or not?

I may have misread this. I did NOT intend to force everyone down the stealth route. I thought we'd individually pick a path and join one of those paths. Krios had the best chance at stealth so I took it. If we as a group need to pick which route then I wouldn't have jumped on stealth.

Even with all of his base Agility, it would take a miracle for Silun to get enough successes. Still, if Armatta does well we may have an ever so slight chance of pulling this off. Since @Rabobankrider said the session is likely ending soon, I'll go ahead and use Touch of Fate for two more boost die, and I'll take one extra from the many advantages that have been rolled. I'm also just going to roll the setback, if we end up not needing it I can just remove it.

Stealth Check with Touch of Fate : 2eD+1eS+4eA+4eB 0 successes, 4 advantage

To be honest, I'm kind of getting kind of tired of rolling no successes whatsoever, but that's random chance for you. That has also likely bombed our chance at stealth.

Ok, it seems you guys are leaning towards bluffing your way into the ship. Bare in mind if you simply appear in the hanger questions will be raised, so you may want to risk opening the door to do so. If anyone wants to take the lead approaching the guards feel free to post it, anyone wanting to stealth to the door it's an average stealth with a boost and a setback . If you want to stealth elsewhere let me know and I'll tell you the check.

@Bellona

Can these be different?

The one mentioned the Setback, the other did not.

I wanted clarity before rolling, but maybe it's too late anyway. (*sighs*)

Armatta's Stealth check ...

Stealth w. Setback, Boost, plus Sleight of Mind's Boost : 3eA+2eB+2eD+1eS 2 successes

Yeah, no miracle dice there. :(

@Bellona I meant Different as in each individual roll, can I roll deception and An-Danja. If so we don’t need 8 successes but 3 because of your 2 there.

I am of the impression that we all must go one of the other but I would like Clarification @Rabobankrider

I believe Rabo already clarified that it is either/or, that we all make the same check.

Yeah that’s what I thought.in which case we fail by 8 and are likely not in position because we are sneaking around. So it’s all of us versus all of tnem and we have our backs to the door. Going to be in interesting fight.

If it comes to a fight, then I guess that we'll be rushing the ship itself?

Armatta has a lightsabre which can do Stun damage. How about the rest of the characters: does anyone else have non-lethal options for the living opponents?

(I don't care one way or the other about the droids.)

Once inside I suppose that we'll take off and blast the hangar doors?

(I call dibs on the Chief Engineer position for Armatta once we get on board. :) )

Krios has Brawl. Easy enough to narrate as non-lethal.

I will deal with the Droids as the Saber Monkey of the group, Zoroku is quite good at cutting things down.

Silun has blaster that is already set to stun for nonlethal. As far as blasting the hangar doors off, it's loud and messy, but we really don't have the option to get all the way up to the control room now, so loud and messy it is. I'm hoping that the ship has weaponry that can be controlled by the pilot, as Silun has several boosts to Gunnery. If not, we'll need at least one gunner. We can figure that out once we're actually on board, though.

Join me in the Exploration Corps. They take all the Jedi rejects.

Anakin did it and he slaughtered Sand People

And I highly doubt we are dying here, just roll good initiative

Not worried about dying (maybe I should be).
I hear there is an academy on Korriban accepting new students....

I think I've overcomplicated the situation here, I'm going to try and clarify a little:

  • The current situation is you've all snuck into the hanger without being spotted, the ship is at short range and the door to the control room is at medium range. The hanger entrance is still shut, as is the hanger exit.
  • As you guys seem to be leaning towards blagging your way onto the ship the best bet is to have someone sneak to open the hanger entrance door and then act as if you guys came in that way to fool the guards.
  • To open the door it's a stealth check for a single person, easy stealth with a boost and a setback. @Bellona I believe you were leaning towards doing this.
  • To try and convince the guards that you did come in this way, it's a group check, average difficulty with a boost dice. You can choose between boost or deception, depending on how you want to narrate it.
  • I had suggested that it be a group check so that the attempt isn't brought down by one faliure, having said that I am ok with you guys doing individual checks if you prefer in the future.

I have added up the total checks, and the final result is 0s12a, which basically translates to 3 triumphs overall. With that amount of advantage I am happy to say that this will count overall as a success based on that conversion.

So! I just need someone to do that easy stealth with boost and setback to open the door and you guys will have pulled off the first part of your plan. The guards won't peg that you don't belong with you guys 'walking in', but you will still need to convince them to release the ship to you if that's the route you want to take. Whoever wants to do the stealth check feel free to take the lead in the ic and I will sort the guards response.

I hope that clears everything up, sorry for the confusion!

*Also makes gm note of @Jedi Ronin 's dissent and trying to mislead fellow padawans* 😛

So where did we stealth to? We rolled stealth not deception @Rabobankrider so wouldn’t we all be at the door and now be rolling deception?

@Shlambate the stealth is back to the door so you guys can act as if you came in that way. As overall it's a pass I'm going to say this actually counts as the original roll needed to open the door, so you guys are already there. Whoever wants to take the lead in talking two the guards feel free to narrate leading the group 'in through the door', and I'll sort the guards response.

@Edgehawk You roll the Deception I will assist you by adding my Skill.
