I’ve been running Boba/Lando/ace for a month (Fenn, Guri, and even Dengar) and now Coruscant has me wanting to replace that ace with three gunrunners and I can’t decide whether it’s the best idea or the worst idea.

This is a big one. Evaluating board states at a glance is really hard now.

So rules question....
Is it "note taking" if you bring a piece of paper and write down what the half point cost of each of your opponents ships is? It's not like you can look at a card anymore and do the math easily on the fly. It's all "public" information but is approaching the line of taking notes about your opponent.

As someone who likes to run lots of small ships, I'm really hoping they add a scoreboard function to the official app - I really don't want to be trying to run my own calculations on the fly as the game comes to a close in order to optimize my win condition. I know I'm going to get that math wrong most of the time and give away potential wins ?

They’re supposed to bring a printed list with points on it. If they don’t, I punch it into LaunchBayNext (which has a points calculator) while we’re getting set up.

I was winning beforehand, so I could have just bailed. Lesson: wrote down the points for my ships after that.
This was my biggest takeaway. I don't know if pencil/paper is the right strategy, but it's where I'm going to start every game now - keeping track of points like magic health, haha.

Maybe even a chess clock like device to track points scored on each side. Even though it may give my opponent an "advantage", I may keep a notebook on the side of the table to record score updates for both sides to see. I would rather keep a game moving then have to spend time figuring out the game state all of the time.

Top 4:
- Redline Vader Soontir
- Redline Whisper Vermeil
- Rhymer Jendon + 3 Bombers
- Wedge Dutch Garven
Top 8:
- Redline Deathrain Jonus + 1 Bomber
- Vader Rexler
- Fenn Palob Guri
- Drea L33T + 3 Quadjumper + 2 Zs
Top 16:
- Fenn Palob Teroch
- Fenn Palob 4Lom
- Fenn Palob Guri
- Redline Whisper Vermeil
- Redline Deathrain Jonus Rhymer
- Whisper Sai Vermeil
- Luke Sabine + 2 Xs
- Luke Miranda Sabine
8 Imperials, 5 Scum and 3 Rebels
Most common pilot was Redline, with 5 appearence.
Fenn and Palob were in 4 scum lists out of 5.
Only 1 list was a swarm, a scum one (also the only scum without Fenn and Palob).
9 lists were 3 ships build.
8 lists had double modified Proton Torpedoes, 6 imperials and 2 rebels.
Obviously Coruscant with its meme list builiding limitations had its own weird meta, but the top cut doesn't look so different than 1.0 as far as presence of differnt archetypes.
1/4th of the cut was basically a very similar Fenn Palob + scum list but Scum was probably the faction hurt the most by the format.
Another 1/4th was Trajectory Simulator Proton Torpedo Redline.
6 out 8 Imperial lists had Proton Torpedoes.
Have I said Proton Torpedoes?
So looking at the full results, there were following ships represented among the 4-2 or better players:
Rebels: x-wing, y-wing, z-95, hwk, attack shuttle, arc-170, k-wing, u-wing
Scum: z-95, y-wing, fang, starviper, quadjumper, hwk, g1a, escape craft
Empire: lambda, tie adv x1, tie punisher, tie defender, tie interceptor, tie/ln, tie phantom, tie reaper, tie bomber, tie striker
The ship representation looks pretty good in my book, especially among the Empire, where only 4 ships were not present.
Rebels and Scum might be suffering from the general large-base ship nerfing - the only large-base ship present was Lambda!
The first points readjustment should hopefully address that and reduce prices on those large bases across the board..

I don't know about @Do I need a Username , but that's more than a day's drive away from me (like, over 1000 miles), so that's a nope from me.

I think just as importantly we should look at those ships not represented:
Rebels: Sheathipede, b-wing, auzituck, yt1300, yt2400, e-wing, tie fighter, VCX, a-wing
Scum: Kimogila, Kiraxcaxax, Aggressor, yt1300, firespray(no Boba though), lancer, scyk, scurrg, YV-666, jumpmaster
Imperial: Decimator, Tie Adv V1, Tie Aggressor, Gunboat.
22 ships not present vs 26 present.
Ships I'm not surprised that they were absent:
YT1300, YT2400, Decimator, VCX, Lancer, YV-666. Large base ships came out of the gate at too high of point values. Alex Davy already said they know large base ships are in a bad place right now, we'll likely see this fixed in January with the points balance. You'd have to imagine that because large base ships tend to have a lot of upgrade slots that FFG was worried about combo-wing coming back and dominating, especially now that half points for everything exists. I'll give them a pass on this.
Jumpmaster is a special kind of hatred from most of the community so I'm not surprised.
A-Wings are arc-dodging ships that don't have any pilots at I5 or I6, so they struggle to arc-dodge. This probably won't be fixed until the ship is re-released.
TIE Aggressor because turret options are really limited, and bombers are better missile carriers.
Ships I am surprised (a little) that were absent:
Sheathipede because I6 Coordinate should still be good with Fenn, and even though he's 52 points he doesn't need upgrades to have an impact.
Gunboats because proton torpedoes are good.
Kiraxsvscz, did anyone bring 5? 5 seems pretty solid.
Aggressor because IG88-A looks really good, and without Boba could have acted as an anchor with some support.
The rest of the ships I just don't have any experience with, nor have I seen much regarding them in the forums.

I'll be at the Walker Classic if you want to drive out here and play a couple of games on my turf. We'll have an honorable joust at high noon as a lone tumbleweed blows past. Silly moustaches, vests, and pocketwatches are a requirement.
