- What is it that you feel like your character does best? What is their focus? In an encounter, what do they offer? Considered this both from a mechanical and a narrative angle.
- On the flip side, what do you think is your character's biggest weakness or shortcoming?
- What advancements or prizes would you like your character to receive? What is it that they would want?
1) Mechanically, Zik is a buffer, in keeping with his role as a teacher. He can help someone after a failed check, share his ranks in Discipline, and even share his Force rating with others. His only Force power (as of yet) allows him to improve his allies' ability scores (though I may try to see if I can squeeze in Foresee, too, if our Mentor discount allows it). Narratively, Zik is a storyteller through and through, comfortable in front of a crowd, and able to Charm and Lead as a teacher to students. I'm guessing he will be the party Face, although he's not as focused in this arena as a Politico or Performer would be.
2) Zik isn't completely useless in a fight, but he's not a combat specialist either. He can buff his allies, but he's no heavy hitter (nor can he take much punishment). Narratively, he tries to avoid combat, and when he must resort to violence, he never kills a sentient being. He can be sanctimonious at times, which others might find off-putting.
3) Zik cares little for material possessions, although the ugliness he's faced on Garuu has convinced him that a Superior light-weight armor would be helpful. Above all, though, he wants to become better attuned to the mysteries of the ancestors (his understanding of the Force), which would entail more and deeper Force knowledge (both mechanically and narratively). He'd jump at the chance to trade folktales with a storyteller or sage from a different culture. Ultimately, though, he dreams of the day he can return to Chalacta to be with his tribe.
