Narr, cards fade in and out of power. Text gets errata, effects get banned and changed, powercreep replaces.

Art is the only constant that lasts for ever.

Yeah, yeah, we know booored: this game sucks til Nids and Necrons come out. Since you don't play the game and rarely have anything positive to post, how about you steer clear until "the game is fully released"...

All I can say is that Mystic Warden has become the new Eager Cadet in my Coteaz proxy test deck.

Killax,

I just read the above post and laughed because I'm in the same boat as you. I was playing with printed off AunShi proxies for a while myself and seeing that you're doing the same with Coteaz made me chuckle. Isn't it funny how we have all these great cards yet we print off ones that aren't released yet and shove them in sleeves just because we can't wait?!

So could we say, "In the grim darkness of the far future there is only...art"?

Do you mean "Eager Recruit"?

Oh yeah Aun'Shi was also proxied! But in general I care less about Tau but you can read all about it on cardgamedb forums XD. For sure the game is still very awesome with every Warpack release! I also think it helps a lot that these Warpacks don't miss their release dates by much, pushing the excitement for these cards even more.

The best thing about this game is the overall well design (barring The Shining Blade, maby) and thought up cards. Altough some cards can still cause some confusion because of how the "stack" works in Conquest. Hopefully they will adress these issues sooner than later but I expect them to be talked about after the 6th Warpack release.

Yep! All those MtG names mix it up sometimes. But yes, not Eager Cadet, Eager Recruit!

ahh cool.. I was like "what the **** is he talking about!" hehe

I also have to say that the Steel Legion Chimera art is so fitting with it's rules it's awesome.

I dunno I really want IG to work but I just can't get a IG deck running at the moment. I think it has gotten better but still seams one of the weakest factions.

I feel with Zogwort's pack, this could actually be considerd as a competative deck for Straken:

- It contains 29 1 and 2 drops to be used with Staging Ground.

- It contains 25 Soldiers/Warriors to be boosted by Straken's ability.

- It contains 9 cards that allow for a Ranged presence.

- It contains 6 cards with 2 Shield Icons, 2 cards with 1 Shield Icon and 1 card with 3 Shield Icons.

Hope you like it!

Oh sweet Jesus yes.

I was at first a bit disappointed that everyone seemed to be getting the 2+ w/ Warlord card, but seeing the variations now... I mean yeah I'm gutted Tallarn don't have the same stats as Bor'Kan, but the Tallarn stats just fit the theme of that card so perfectly.

**** I love this game.

Oh for cost vs stats I feel Bork'an Recruits and Tallarn Raiders are on the exact same level. I don't know why any SM, Ork or AM deck would not run them over other 1 cost 1 Command units.

I also have to say this was an excellent suprise to me and Im very happy to see AM getting the boosts it needed so much.

In special Staging Ground is something else, you basicly pay 1 to grand the mayority of your deck Ambush.

G-G-G-G-GAMECHANGERRRRR!!!!

As the old saying goes.

I just made a similar deck to this just last night minus the new cards of course, It beat my Tau deck. Partially because of bad drawls, but I had a good hand so I didn't redraw.

Great to hear, yeah I still feel AM is does not have the cards it needs to be consistant competative altough I do feel Tallarn Raiders and Staging Ground are the boosts needed to push Straken and Cotaez in a competative setting. Both are fantastic additions to any AM deck.

Apart from the obvious, I also think it's worth nothing that Staging Ground brings an incredible ability to a situation where you have a good Command presence. Currently I feel AM still has one of the strongest Command presences on their 2 and 3 drops, which now pays in full advantage as it will allow you to put drawn cards into play instantly. This is strong in particular with AoE cards but also straight up powerfull when Straken can drop 3 ATK guys out of nowhere.

Yeah I agree those cards will be a nice addition for them for sure. And it makes them much more enjoyable to play with too. Who doesn't want a machine gun Crew waiting on a warlord to shoot? They are literally dug in for command phase. That's freakin awesome!

My opponent (last night ) had troops at the planet that allows a free deploy to HQ and troops at first planet that triggers any planet ability (I had nothing). I hate those two planets when they have a Lemun Russ tank,or a dreadnaught in their hand! It was all good though it was fun being killed to tinny bits from that big gun. When I made that deck I thought it would be good idea to have at least 1 of each of these or two of one. The opportunity to play those cards can be a game winner.

Yeah, I've tried practically this same deck, as I said.. IG has gotten better but it is still way behind the bell curve. In fact I would say this is a perfect example of a deck that shows exactly why IG is so weak. I expect IG to pick up in the future but for now I can not see any reason why you would bring IG to the store over some of the other factions.

I agree with you there, Orks have been in the same place and honestly Chaos isn't in a fantastic position either (altough they did got their nice cards to work with) where AM just depends on combo's that only show up when your allready ahead of the game.

That plague warlord is bonkers, chaos is just a little to highly costed even with the cultists cost reduction. Still I predict the the plague warlord to be a major player, sooner rather than later.

I agree, have allready be dominant with him locally altough Zarathur did get a nice addition with Plaguebearers.

What do you think they could end up doing with the 'Transport' keyword, do you think? Is there a comparable trait from another game that shows active use?
