As I said it is confusing to noobs but you'll get the hang of it.
Warhammer 40K Conquest Rumours and News:
People keep telling me it's clear, but then I look at the rules sub-forum and the sheer number of questions over at that other site, and I get a very different impression.
The particular situation you presented is clearly spelled out in the rules.
I tend to agree, but that isn't to say there is a very clear and direct logic to how LCGs do things. While it may not be as clear as a stack, it IS clear to experienced players. Noobs do get it wrong, but only for a while unless they are morons.
Part of the problem is bringing in expectations from other games (such as stack resolution) but this is an understandable part of the learning curve. As the game matures and a FAQ is introduced an expanded I would expect to see more of the examples necessary to clear up misunderstandings new players (and old) have with the rule set.

I disagree. I'm fairly confident in my English skills, but I have yet to see anything I would consider especially 'clear.'

I'm not convinced there's a problem with expecting a clear and concise ruleset when other companies have mastered that very craft over the course of 20 some-odd years. Either I'm spoiled, or the Conquest design team is just being lazy.

XD
You have a short memory, my friend. Noobs indeed...

What makes you think it is clear?
And besides stack has nothing to do with 40c being an LCG. LCG just means they use fixed expansions rather than randomised booster packs

At this point, you are choosing to not see it because it goes against how you want to play the card.

It was a broad statement about the state of the game in general. The LtP guide is all but useless, and the RRG is an utter mess.

Army Rotten Plaguebearers Cost: 2 Command: 1 Action: Exhaust this unit to deal 1 damage to a target unit.
Support Nurgling Bomb Cost: 3 Combat Action: Target a planet, for each non-Nurgle unit its controller must deal it 1 damage or rout it
Support Throne of Vainglory
The Nurgling Bomb is a support card? I thought it was an Event?
I'll continue the same offtopic stuff if you guys like to discuss Rules in a Rumours and News topic...

Can't confirm, I have no pictures, but I think your right on that it's an Event. Post edited!

Nah, i'm done with the rules.
Sorry your thread got derailed man.
btw still no sign of the 1st expansion packs in my store...
any rumour bout 'crons and 'nids yet?

No giant worries man! It's not a huge problem but shouldn't continue on and on. This is the same for the Nurglings topic...
But the Expensions still didn't hit your store?!? Where do you live. If you want I could hook you up.
No rumours about Crons and Nids, I do expect them just after the 5th Warpack is released and we know the new Eldar Warlord.
Not as enthused by the SM/AM cards in the upcoming pack, but I'm getting it for the Warlord anyway. Looking forward to completely re-building my Tau deck around him.
Correction: Honorifica Imperalis looks pretty bad-ass. Needs an enemy warlord to work but it's a card I can definitely get behind.
Also, I cracked. I bought a second Core Set off someone second hand. I hate you all
Man, just read all of the Fenrisian Wolf and the Nurgling stuff... Having read all the arguments, I know where I sit, but I guess FFG do need to hurry up with that FAQ.
Have to say never occurred to me to use the Fenrisian Wolf like WW suggested, but then I'm convinced by the evidence people have presented for not being able to use opponent's game elements for effects like that, so it's not a tactic I'll be using.
Although now I'm thinking that time I used Squadron Redeployment on an enemy unit was an illegal move?
Another question: Is it not time for 'The Scourge' entry to be removed now? Like you did with Ragnar?

You're right about Squadron Redeployment as well. Any time the wording of something is in the vein of "do X to do Y", the first part is considered a cost and you can only pay the cost with your own stuff.
If it could be used on your opponent's cards like that it would say something like "exhaust the unit AND move it to a planet of your choice".

Hasselt, but i talked to the guys at the oberonn and they said it should be back in soon.
I can wait... for now ;-)
Busy with new magic set anyway and at end o t month new dice masters so that'll keep me occupied for a while!
What we have:
Finally some talk of news and spoilers.
Also, the RRG or LTP said the Necrons can only ally with Army Units. So no fear of all the other powerful card types.

I bet you it's a Support. The guy who spoiled it didn't say it had any shielding marks did he? No shields = support.
Well.. At least I hope it's a support...
Bah, nevermind.. Just saw he said it had 1 shield. Ahh well.

Ah well, the new MtG set also looks quite cool. Happy to see you being bussy with it. Honestly the real reason why Im so bussy with Conquest is because Im in one of those MtG breaks again Plus dicemasters is indeed really fun. Makes me wish sometimes the Marvel/DC/etc VS System was still around, it was a cool comic-based cardgame altough I couldnt get it here if I wanted to.
Hasselt actually isnt that far away! Again if your running behind enormously, just give a PM. I can fix you up with some places who have the packs but they are in English.
My Guess:Deluxe Expansion - Necrons and Tyranids - July
Seems like a very valid guess. Again I think we might see two different deluxe sets, but needing 3 in the end is quite possible (like the Core set).
Finally some talk of news and spoilers.
Also, the RRG or LTP said the Necrons can only ally with Army Units. So no fear of all the other powerful card types.
True, altough the Army units is often where the juice is. Having Eager Recruit, TSC, DAS or Berzerker can lead to quite something. Altough I do think FFG will not unbalance them. They just have a whole lot of adaptation options.
Bah, nevermind.. Just saw he said it had 1 shield. Ahh well.
Yeah, again I'll confirm as soon as Ive got the pack. Scan will be up then aswell.
As for the Scourge part, currently I'll leave it there. Expect a full rumours redo once we are into the Gift pack. For those people who rely on Conquestdb for example for visual spoilers, this also offers you insight. I just found out Conquestdb updated again so I'll leave the set that's from previous month here untill updates are complete.
Considering every other faction will have two Warlords by this point, I'd be surprised if they didn't release two Warlords upon first release for Necrons and Tyranids.
Using AGOT as a base, each deluxe expansion there focused solely on one Faction, with a smattering of cards for other factions, right? That's how they introduced two whole new houses that weren't in the base set. (I forget which ones. Martell and ?).
Was talking to 'My guy' about this, and I'm with him that I think Necrons and Nids will get their own Deluxe releases, and will be introduced one at a time. Tyranids need it because they can't ally with anyone, so I reckon they'll get Two warlords, plenty of cards to choose from for variety, and then every other faction will get a smattering of cards that can deal with the new Tyranid-based tactics that are introduced.
This theory falls down a bit with Necrons, as they DON'T need so many cards because they can ally with everyone, but I still think two Warlords, some cards, then some cards for other factions that counter those Necrons cards makes sense.
But then what do I know?

Magic break huh? I get that to, well once every decade (oh lord i've been playing that game for so long. ) And when Khans of tarkir came out it was that time again. (Altough i never actually quit with magic, With Onslaught block I came close tough) But now fate reforged is out I'm back in the mood again.
Back on topic, my group is experimenting with 3 player version of 40C. Playing with just the normal rules and 5 planets works but feels a bit crowded...
We upped it to six planets in our last experimental three way, momentarily forgetting why we kept it to the five to begin with - the dial. We house-ruled that the blank space between 5 and 1 represented the 6th planet. Seemed to make the game a bit better.
With five planes it was quite easy to lock the third player off the map towards the end of the game.
Well you can use a hidden dice (D6) to the same effect as a Command Dial offcourse.
If I was FFG, I would have made 2 deluxe boxes with 2 different Warlords for Necrons and Tyranids, again you'd need 2 boxes to "complete" it for competative play but if you don't feel getting 2 you can always pick the Warlord you like and work with differnt cards.
I do believe that each deluxe set would hold a total of 102 cards (including Warlords) so both are "ready" for competative play but lack consistancy (playsets). There will also be some difference in cards between the two Warlord decks so you probably would need 2 of each if you feel you need a playset etc.
Then again, Im not working for FFG so its just some marketing ideas.
