Donovan was right and I was wrong

Agreed, Josep. Not my intention to bash, just to warn others that trying to engage with him is like banging your head against a brick wall...

SS, like your new avatar!

I'll get the books sent out this week, I've had a stinking cold. My health is dreadful since my operation :(

Thanks. :D

Hope your cold subsides. :)

Pessimists are never disappointed. If what he says doesn't come true, then he just sits back saying "Well aren't you glad I got these points out so they would know about it and how everyone felt?" and everyone is happy anyways. If they do come true, he pounces saying "I told you so!" and gloats. Either way, in his mind he gets his way and is happy in his petty little world. If you don't want to endure his toxicity, put him on ignore. It really is that simple. For me he reminds me of those villains in movies like Austin Powers or The Fifth Element, over the top and maniacal. He is like the court jester of the FFG forums with his antics.

But hey - look on the bright side! We're only a handful of hours away from Day of the Doctor!

WOOOOOO!!

...Day of the What?

Doc-tor Who! Doc-tor Who! Doc-tor Who! Wuuuu uuuuuu uuuuuu.... uuu uuuu uuuuu!! XD

The one sci-fi I could never get into, despite it being a British success. :S

I'm always surprised Dr Who has an international following.

It's so very quintessentially British.

I watched tons of TV series and, until now, Doctor Who stills the BEST!

Thanks British people! XD

Don't feel bad, you are not alone. I love sci-fi, but was never able to get into Doctor Who. And I've only seen a little of Red Dwarf. I did catch the Hitchhikers miniseries way back when, though. I do enjoy many British shows, though. Much of the comedy, Monty Python and the Two Ronnies and Blackadder. One of my favourite series is Ultraviolet. Lots of good stuff out there.

So, we made a thread because ErikB never talks about the game and in it we never talk about the game?

:D

I disagree about the ignore function tho. I would rather see someones blather and ignore it myself than never see it at all. Dont get me wrong, I fully agree with not responding to the person involved, but the optimist in me hopes that everyone has something worthwhile to say at least once.

@ Maelora: Is that all of the books attributed then?

Dude, this is a topic about how intolerable you are. Take the hint!

perhap this may clue him: ErikB: we'd rather have daleks than you.

Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, The Two Ronnies, Only Fools and Horses, Father Ted... Love 'em all. :D

At least the Daleks would think the same of ErikB as the rest of us do... ;)

I think that is what makes it so special. America could have never come up with a thousand year old man flying around space in a magic phone booth.

I had the best British television education when I was growing up. A television station about 100 miles north of here, just on the Canadian boarder ran Who at midnight on every Saturday (for the better part of a decade). The run up to that midnight showing was all kinds of awesome (and not so awesome) british shows. They ran some of the big names - Monty Python and Benny Hill, but they also ran stuff I'd never heard of like Dave Alan at Large, Doctor in the House (and it's spinoffs), On the Buses, Space: 1999, The Two Ronnies, Are You Being Served - it was glorious!

My favorite non-Who show that they ran, it has to be Blakes 7. You want a good, gritty Star Wars-ish series to steal ideas from? The crew of the Liberator is for you!

I think ErikB is the reason WHY they want to exterminate us all.

"Look! Look at what cross-breeding and educational neglegence leads to! IT COULD HAPPEN AGAIN!"

I think you are all out of line.

What you are doing is not ok.

There are other ways to deal with the issues you are having with the one poster.

You are doing worse to these boards than ErikB ever could by himself.

Yes since report doesn't seem to be working, as I've said before the only solution is just to Ignore him. Some are making posts that allow themselves a chance of being reported themselves. I suppose this is what happens when the mods stop moderating? Just ignore him and stop heckling him even if it is understandably fun.

We had a guy that entered a phone booth, exitted, then could fly off into space. :)

Sydney Newman came up with the mysterious doctor, the name Doctor Who, and the idea of a time machine larger on the inside then the outside. He was born and raised in Toronto and didn't make it to Britian until he was in his 40's.

I remember growing up being terrified they would make a film or US version of Dr Who, and remake him as younger and sexier and more 'badass', and probably give him a raygun to shoot things with.

And good call for Blake's Seven, SS. The costumes and props were even worse than Dr Who (it was made on a budget of about 50p) but it was even more bleak and gritty. I remember seeing the infamous ending as a girl and being absolutely shocked. (Spoilers: Rocks fall, everybody dies...)
