Saturday Night Showdown at the Event Center

By Delobius, in 7. AGoT Metagame Discussions

It was a madhouse in there on Saturday. I showed up with my wife and a few friends to take advantage of the membership deal and try a few games, but had to take off right when you arrived. Were you able to find any room to play?

Tried the Lord of the Rings LCG, BTW - it was OK but it didn't grab me right away. Will have to try it again.

we were, we played up in the mez. we had a total of 7 people (i think). Nate ended up winning 3-0.

FYI, mason240 & I will be meeting up at the EC at 5pm on Thursday the 24th for a couple of games. Anyone else is welcome to join in.

we're on for this saturday, March 26th. open play at 5 tourney at 6-6:15 if we have enough people. i will be attending until around 9ish. hope to see you folks there.

I'll be there at 5

though nate will not be joining us due to march madness, i hope to see at least a few of you this saturday. open play at 5, if we get enough people/interest, i will put on a tourney with some old promo cards from my own collection as prize for the winner

.

we are off for this saturday. there will be a tourney of the hand at the gamers den starting at noon. this sunday tourney for the hand at ffgec. hope to see you guys there.

Actually, at noon is a straight up Joust tournament. $10 entry, with prizes including the Art book Volume 2, a signed by GRRM Jaime Lannister print, deck box, power counters, pins and perhaps more...

At 6pm is our Hand of the King event. That one is $5, or free if you played in the Joust.

It should be a fun time, and good practice for the upcoming regionals.

Nick what nights do you guys typically play? just saturday? or will there be some weeknights? Im looking to get in some thrones this week but my schedule doesnt allow me to head up to Cambridge.

usually just saturday, but some of the other guys can't make it on saturday and would rather play on some week night.

we're on for saturday. open play starting at 5 and a tourney starting at 6-6:30. hope to see you guys there.

we're on for saturday, april 30th. open play at 5, with enough people tourney at 6. probability of LotR as well for interested parties.

big night this saturday at the ffgec. our final weekend before lcg days. bring your A game for (probably) unlimited jousting and (possible) melee. i'm planning on being their earlier than usual, round 4ish. hope to see you guys there.

... Winter is coming...

If anyone wants to get together for one last game before the tournament, send me a PM.

we're on for this saturday. open play at 5 possible tourney at 6 or 6:30. i will be bringing a new greyjoy deck that might surprise you. ^__^

Greetings to any Twin Cities AGoT players out there.

I'm looking to play a few games down at the EC this Saturday, in the early afternoon. I'll need to leave around 5ish (which I think is when you guys normally show up). Something around 1ish or so would be perfect.

Any takers?

I should mention that while I've played a staggering array of CCGs, I have but 3 games of AGoT under my belt. So if you're looking to play against some top quality competition, you'll likely be disappointed. ; )

Papa

i'll be there around 1 for ya. for you others who can't make it that early, the same bat-time/bat-channel applies. open play at 5 and with enough people, tourney around 6:30.

Hey, I would love to come in early and play some games with you (I'm rather new myself) before 5. Just let me know what time you are looking to start.

I'll be there around 1. The more the merrier (imho). If we end up with an odd number, maybe Nick-ler can show us the ropes in melee...

Papa

Thanks to everyone that showed up early yesterday. It was good to get some more games in. Thus far, the more I play this game the more impressed I'm becoming by it.

Now I just have to figure out how to get my Lannister deck up and running. ; )

not a problem Rick. i am glad you are enjoying the game.

i wanted to note that nate and i will not be attending the ffgec for our usual thrones night as we will be at critical hit games in iowa for their regional. don't let that stop you from showing up and getting in some games. i'm sure some lotr lcg could be on tap as well.

I will be there on Sat night. LotR is a great idea if we have a low turnout - I have been wanting to play the nightmare scenario.

I'm planning on being there tomorrow (Saturday 6/4) night.

Mason, what time do you want to show up? I could be there as early as 4 (I won't have to leave so early this week).

Papa

Planning to be up there with "F-bomb" Will and his wife this Saturday, 11 June. Should be up there in the 16:00-17:00 window.
