Based on that, I’d guess Phoenix is 2x As and a B or a T65. Empire being 2x LN and interceptor or 2x interceptor and defender. The fugitives is unclear - either hwk plus some light fighters? Maybe a hodge podge of 1x hwk, 1x kihraxz, 1x MG tie or z95? If it’s the resistance though, we know at least one of them is Poe’s orange t70. The others could be the Y and B?

B-Wing, Interceptor and Defender don't fit the Support/Medium fighter roll (as was previously set up by the Belbulab and Delta-7 Aethersprite) though... Also, was Poe's X-Wing supposed to be part of a Squadron pack or an Aces pack? I could have sworn they said Aces pack, which, with the information we have available here, these are apparently not.

I guess that depends on definitions of Ace packs. To me, a boxed set reprint of ships with new pilots and/or upgrades is an ace pack. I suppose it’s possible they treat it like the delta 7/vulture which have a blister of one paint scheme and a squad paint scheme

Squadron pack = starter set (at least that is the trend that the first 2 set) of ships, cards, chits and obstacles. There is also the possibility that the importer is using the term squadron pack as a placeholder.

I was going to joke that the S&V pack (fugitives and collaborators), should be based around the Fang fighter, since that's about the only small-based S&V ship I see anymore. However, the name "Fugitives and collaborators" makes it seem like the set would be more focused on criminals and separatists more than bounty hunters and mercenaries (and mandalorians or trade guilds).. for that reason I suspect the set will be black sun themed.. and black sun means Starvipers are probable. While I'd really like to see a squad with Pr. X and Guri, I don't think they would use two aces in their squad development. So maybe a squad based on Talonbane cobra and his Khiraxz with two starvipers in support? Of course, there's always the possibility of a ship/pilot that hasn't been produced before.

I was also thinking black sun for S&V squad pack, star viper and 2 khiraxz or 2 z95.

rebels would be good to see the a wings taking up 2 ships, an x wing seems very possible.

empire, would be sad if they put tie/ln in there as there are so many of those 2nd edn versions sitting on shelves, interceptors are likely. I would really like to see the tie bomber either as a single or double.

A punisher and 2 bombers would be an awesome squad pack but very unlikely.

A bomber and 2 interceptors possible.

A tie adv x1 and 2 interceptors sounds likely when thinking of this as a starter pack alongside a core set.

i would like some card-only pack... or new ships: I have plenty of bwings, awings, kihraxz, starvipers and so on.

are we sure will be ship/cards instead?

Well, 2.0 phantom reprint is still not out. So maybe it would be part of the rebels pack, along with the Phoenix A wing and maybe the experimental B-wing?

The short answer is no, we aren’t sure. These could just be card packs technically, except for the lack of phrase “card pack” or “reinforcements pack” (precedent set in the last card pack wave).

We also know at Adepticon they teased us with the return of ace-style packs, reprinted ships with new paint and new pilots coming together. It seems highly likely based on the tease these could be Ace packs and card packs are on hold for another wave or two for there to be cards you’ll want in the update beyond the pilots (maybe).

All speculation of course, but we know in some capacity Ace packs are coming.

I’d be ok with this, although I’m honestly not that fond of strict reprints without new paint. If it winds up being the only duplicate from 1.0 with the A and B being new paint I think I can manage

If we're going from the episode of Rebels, the Imperial ships we see when Sabine is helping Wedge, Hobbie, and Crispus Attucks Rake Gahree defect from the Skystrike Academy are TIE Fighters, TIE Interceptors, and TIE Bombers. Bomber hasn't had a 2e release yet, so that'd be nice. Interceptor could get a nice new paint job. TIE Fighter with an Inferno Squadron paint job (why hasn't one of those been released yet?) would also work. (edit: I think it'd be a 2+1, not all three)

For Rebels, I'm mostly thinking 2 A-Wings + B-Wing, but 2 A-Wings + Attack Shuttle would also make a lot of sense.

Scum? No clue. Kinda hoping for Kihraxz, but whatever.

We're not sure on any of this, or if it's even real .

Presuming the info in the original post is correct, the Squadron Pack terminology strongly suggests ships. Hotshots and Aces was called a "reinforcement pack," while the only "squadron packs" so far have been the 2 Vulture Belbullab and 2 Torrent Aethersprite ones.

While not optimal for vets who own everything, they really do seem like a great way for newer players to get in, and I'd be glad to see more of these exist.

Until we see pictures of the models/cardboard, I'm taking all of this with a massive pinch of Crait, similar to how I treated the initial 'leaks' of the HMP FUNship/LAAT-i/Xi-class Shuttle.

That doesn't mean I can't enjoy the speculation though. I like the idea of a Rebel Squadron pack, though would rather hope it adds the finest mustache in the galaxy in the form of General Merrick...

You never know, the other two packs are based on Rebels, and "collaborators" perfectly describes Gar Saxon's mandos, while "Fugitives" may refer to the clans forced out of Mandalore by the Empire :P

😍 😍 😍

...my wallet is already screaming in pain.

No idea for the Fugitives pack, but the Phoenix pack is 100% containing an A-Wing.

I, personally, would like to see a Nabbed TIE/ln in there as well, probably with new pilots.

So I predict the Phoenix pack will hah 1 A-wing, 1 Stolen TIE and a Y-Wing, cause they stole some of them as well.

Skystrike will probably have a Bomber and an Interceptor with new pilots, with something else to round it out.

I'd say a Sentinel Shuttle, but I don't think they've done one of those yet, so I'll guess that it'll be an Inquisitor TIE Advanced instead.

Following all these rumors, do you think you guys that FFG will create some news ?

I am more than happy to see that the planning haven't been cancelled, but I cannot wait to have more news of the upcoming waves.

Betting all will be revealed at GenCon in flight report analogue, and not a moment sooner.

I really don't want Hera, Sabine et al to be all over the Rebel faction. I prefer each ship having a bit more of a unique feel and I like the idea of more 'specialist' pilots.

Considering we don't see either of those pilots on the board, I wouldn't mind it. Sabine had a heyday at launch but has since fallen out of vogue. Sabine would be fun in an A-Wing, being all sort of maneuverable, but not oppressively so at I3 with only a two die primary. Honestly, though, Hera would definitely get flown in a B-Wing or an A-wing without being game-breakingly powerful. Perhaps if you gave her Advanced Sensors in the B-Wing she might get tiresome, but with that upgrade at 10 points and the B-Wing's slow dial, you could price her accordingly. I'd love to see other pilots, but I'm definitely down for those two Spectre pilots to drop into one of those chassis.

Is it only me that thinks having more A-Wings, B-Wings, Interceptors and Defenders (or any other ship already re-released in 2nd ed.) is just shortsighted. Why not make Squadron Packs with ships that haven't been reprinted yet? I may be biased because I started in 2nd ed. but it's a win-win situation in my opinion with old players getting new pilots, upgrades and paint schemes while new players get new Ships as well.

100% THIS! There are more than enough unprinted 2.0 ships. Reprinting these ships would help level the playing field between new and veteran players. The only disparity are the new factions. But that's because those factions are new.
