I disagree with your disagreeing. They looked exactly like painted humans wearing a hat. And rather vampire humans, because apparently Twi'leks women suddenly have canine teeth. I thought they were both overacting way to much. I get the Dalek reference mentioned above, because the serie for me has a whovian feel to the costumes and the way some of the guest actors act. It's the part of the otherwise great show(s) I really can do without.

i honestly think that costumes were a far cry better that old Bib here. He doesn't exactly have great teeth.
It seems the teeth, and overall genetic diversity, of twi’lek is quite varied. If twi’lek men can have ears, females cones, teeth like Bib, or normal ones, I'm not off put by some elongated canines. All humans have canines, not that elongated, true, but they are there.
I'm enjoying the show, and these things aren't bothering me. But, I hope they improve on what I, personally, already enjoy.
In Chapter 4 the Raider Leader was rocking an 1886 Lever Action Shotgun.

Had the same thought during this episode. Might as well make new republic and resistance the same faction. Gives them 2 kinds of security droids and fleet troopers.

I used to have a ton of Russian ammo pouches when I was a kid for SCA/LARP costumes. Wonder whatever happened to them.

Those pouches are the worst! I used to have an M91/30 and I tried putting stripper clips in those pouches; impossible to get out.

They are pretty bad. They're made of some kind of truly awful pleather with lots of glue instead of stitching iirc. A regional retail chain in my hometown used to have a big bin of them for a buck each. It was a task to sift through them till you found one that wasn't hopelessly deformed.
Finally got around to watching last week's episode. It wasn't bad, but good lord was it predictable. Betrayal, escape, hunt, counter betrayal, roll credits. Jeez. I don't mind the format, but jeez, don't telegraph they're going to betray Mando so hard. Instead of them all being jerks for no reason, have the team play it cool, right up to the end. Oh well. We've got, what, 2 more episodes? Hopefully this will be it for filler episodes.
And was it just me, or did the Twi'leks and Devaronian just seem..... off. Like, I still can't put my finger on it, but they looked more like mid-level cosplayers than actors with big budget make up, especially the Twi'leks. Maybe its how rigid their headtails were, or the fangs, I dunno.
