When Xin and his men enter the office, a couple of the guards start taking the few customers still in the bank one-by-one to a room next to the one marked "security." They haven't seemed to notice Cade yet, but they'll get to him before long.
Head to the front door, let me know when you get there, I'll see what I can do about getting the doors open. Cade said.
On our way.. Kara replied
While the others are still moving towards the bank, the guards have moved just about everyone out of the main area and the few remaining clients have started moving in that direction.
Xin steps out of the office and scans the lobby, "MANDO! I want to talk to you. Truce."
Cade slowly puts down the pamphlet as he turns towards Xin. This ought to be interesting.. Su cuy'gar Xin'ika, what can I do for you?
Xin turns to look at Cade, "Put the sword away and come to the office. Just you and me."
Merquise slips out from behind Xin, slinking into a different office.
Cade growls under his breath, tapping the saber against his armor before putting it in it's scabbard. <Heads up, looks like I'm going to have a talk with Xin...> He reports as he walks to the office.
Kara's audio is a stream of curses from at least four different languages.
Cade gives a silent sigh as he walks into the doorway...
Xin is in the chair that has changed hands so many times Cade doesn't bother to add a possessive to it, and Kara's pistol is on the desk in front of him. He doesn't look happy, but he isn't doing anything particularly aggressive at the moment.
"Let's make this fast. We don't like each other. We don't have anything to gain from fighting each other. You get the pistol, and you stay out of my hair. Got it? I'm calling a truce. Stay out of Black Sun business on Worlport, leave me and my men alone, and we'll leave you alone."
Cade reaches out, picks up the pistol. I do have a question about Elysar... He had a retainer for me for a personal job, would you have any knowledge of it? It wouldn't hurt your organization and we leave without causing anymore troubles.
"Jabba's investment, right? No, I don't. Whoever killed him probably took it, and no it wasn't us."
Any idea on who? Cade asked mildly.
"Professional courtesy?" he snorts. Then he shrugs, "Rumors. Jilted lover, covert business partner. Somebody he trusted enough to let stab him in the back."
Cade sighed and shrugged. Can't win them all I suppose... Cade started to turn and leave, throwing Xin a mock salute.. then stopped in the doorway. Oh.. one last thing.. as a professional courtesy, there are rumors going around that Black Sun put a hit on some Mando'ade because they took jobs from competing organizations.. we're guessing somebody doesn't understand professional loyalty while on a contract..That's the source of our problem.. Cade indicated himself and Xin. If this should happen to someone we know, the fight that comes looking will not go well to those responsible, I assure you.. Munit tome'tayl, skotah iisa, It means long memory, short fuse.. food for thought.. Just treat us with some respect, we aren't savages after all.... mostly.
Xin watches him leave, but doesn't say anything until he's gone. Then he picks up his comlink and comms his men with the all-clear. As Cade walks towards the exit, the guards unlock the doors and the clients begin to file out of the room next to the security office. Merquise walks up to Cade, tapping him on the shoulder. "Do you have some way I can contact you? If I'm going to set up a meeting with Ereen Elysar, I'll need to give her a way to get back to you."
Edited by P-47 ThunderboltCade pulls out a piece of flimsy and writes down a comm code, then hands it to Merquise. Keep yer head down, that office changes hands a lot.
"Oh believe me, I've noticed..." He accepts the flimsi, examines it, then scurries back to the office he had just come from.
Cade nods to the guards on his way out, the others are outside the door hands on their weapons. An utrel'a.. Kih'parjai.
Kara and Falmok look uneasy, but they slowly back away from the bank.
We might have a lead on our retainer.. new bank manager is contacting our dead friends wife.. Cade said quietly.
all clear, no problem.
Suddenly, over a ridge rockets, a colourful, armoured, figure. Lining his pistols up perfectly, with two shots, he fells every last one of the goons.

“So, no fighting?” Ge’tal whines dejected. “But I wanted to fight them!”
Cade shrugged, Sorry vod, no fighting... maybe later...
They hear the roar of the jetpack, then the blaster fire, and see one of the goons stagger a few steps into the front of the alley before collapsing. Maya takes her comlink out of her pocket and comms on the team's frequency, "Was that you, vode?"
Darien stands up and starts walking towards the end of the alley, hugging the wall. The jetpack winds down and lands just outside. Darien sighs, figuring there's nothing for it. He puts his hands up, finger laying against the trigger guard, and steps out into view. Seeing it's a Mandalorian, he says, "Tion'gar burc'ya ra aru'e?"
Tion gar burc'ya ra aru'e? = Are you friend or foe?
"I'll give you two guesses, seeing as i just saved your backsides."
Darien holsters his pistol and prods one of the bodies with his foot, "Fair enough. Vor'e par te gaa'tayl. Mind if I ask what you're doing shadowing two Mandos out for a stroll?"
Maya walks up behind him, holstering her pistol as well. "This one of the 'strays' you were talking about?" she whispers.
Vor'e par te gaa'tayl. = Thanks for the help.
"I overheard these guys talking about the Mando they were going to kill" He gestures at the bodies "looks like it didn't end so well for them."
"No... No it doesn't. I-"
Maya cuts him off, an idea occurring to her. "How well do you know the underworld here? Key players, safehouses, et cetera. We've got some... business we need to conduct. If you're helpful, we'll cut you in on it."
@Barbaross41, Arno knows it well enough, I'll feed you some key points of information at my discretion. If something comes up, feel free to ask if Arno knows it.
