"You know, a good cloak can cover armor pretty easily." Ge'tal chimes in. "A big enough robe could do just as well."

Darien shrugs, "If you want to look like a jetti. Even covered, this armor isn't good for undercover work." He chuckles, "The only thing beskar'gam isn't good for! You all ready to head out?"

Cade stood and sheathed his beskad. Kar'ika and I will visit some of the local bars, see if we can get some intel on the underworld structure..

Kara pauses by Darien on her way out, Careful Dar'ika, running around without beskar'gam isn't all that fun.

At the first bar, Cade and Kara ordered some ale and made some small talk with the bartender, making innocuous questions about the city; where to get a good meal, looking for work.. Slowly building up the trust, slipping a question in occasionally about areas to stay away from, people or groups to avoid.. Then moving on to the next bar, starting the process over and comparing the answers given, slowly building a tentative profile on the power structure of the local underworld, and who, if any, the establishment and it's patrons were loyal to. At the fourth and fifth bar, Cade and Kara thought they were getting some consistent information, criminal territories and their boarders had taken shape. Alliances and feuds were tallied.. One feud troubled them. In the seventh bar, the entire place was wary of them as soon as they entered. The bartender nervously stopped drying the stack of glasses in front of him and stammered out if he could help them. I didn't take long before they learned that Black Sun wasn't very quiet about their new dislike for a group of Mandalorians who had just arrived recently, and apparently, were rather rude to the local Black Sun representative.. Now half the underworld was quietly hedging their bets on an encounter..

Osik, Cade sighed, Should've done that differently...

A female Bothan sidles up to Cade and Kara, "You looking for a drink? I know a better place. A tad bit more friendly."

Cade looked at the Bothan, Sure.. we're always up for a drink.. but we don't want to be any trouble, sounds like we're already in some hot water with Black sun.

She nods and smiles, "Oh, you don't have to worry about that." She leads them on a roundabout route through alleys and backstreets, answering any queries with assurances that it will be worth their while. After a few minutes, she stops in front of an unassuming bar and turns to head in, giving a nod to the Barabel leaning against the wall smoking. The Barabel gives the Mandalorians a discreet look-over before re-assuming his relaxed position.

She slips in at a booth in the back corner, and finally starts to explain, "Before you ask, I do not work for the Suns." Her look of distaste leaves you fairly certain that she is telling the truth. "I have a job offer for you. You have managed to royally outrage the second of command for the Black Sun on this planet, and his hurt feelings are quite dangerous. We like people who hurt his feelings." she grins widely, showing her full set of brilliantly white teeth, and chuckles slightly. "We can offer you a certain amount of security, and, more importantly, credits. But first, we need some information. Why are you here?"

Kara gestured vaguely around them, There's a war raging out there, plenty of opportunities.. she explained, But currently, we're looking to see if there's any work without stepping on too many toes of Big organizations, like governments or underworld groups with... long reaches..

Cade leaned in as if sharing a secret, That whole Black sun incident was a simple misunderstanding, and short tempers...

She rolls her eyes dramatically, "Xin is known for his short temper. How would you like to work for an organization with a long reach? Better to be protected by a long reach than constantly trying to avoid them... Isn't it? I'm a... representative of Gorka the Hutt, the biggest crime lord on the planet." her fur ripples slightly in the Bothan equivalent of embarrassment at her bad pun. "And he looks after his own."

Cade and Kara exchanged looks.. Cade looked back to the Bothan, That's mighty tempting..

Kara put her hand on his shoulder, I don't know if we're ready for the Big time....

Cade patted her hand assuredly, We're just doing a little..networking.. He looked back at the Bothan. Would you be able to tell us what kind of job Gorka would require mado'ade? I would think a Hutt would be able to afford the service of all the hired guns they would ever need...

She grins, "Few on the level of the much vaunted Mandos of lore." (fur rippling again at the accidental bad pun) "What particular set of skills do you have? Gorka prefers to use his employees where they'll do best."

Cade slowly tilted his helmet, We're Mandalorian, we're trained since children.. every mando'ade is an equivalent of a well rounded commando.. a group is almost an army to itself.

Kara reached over to calm him down.. I think he's trying to say, that if Gorka were interested in hiring a squad or two of mando'ade, he could probably fire whoever he has on retainer... or just keep the army he has.. it would probably be cheaper, honestly.. Kara paused, Would you be able to tell us what Gorka lacks in his small army? We could set you up with Specialists that could fill in the gaps, that would give your organization the prestige of Mandalorian professionalism, and it would save Gorka credits...

The Bothan's eyebrows raise and she cannot hide her surprise. "I believe Gorka would be quite interested in that, yes. As for you in particular, you would fit a very adaptable position. Your presence in and of itself would be a valuable asset, particularly as guards in some of the more high-class venues, as your armor," She grimaces slightly at Cade's skull face, bloody tears and all, "with the, uh, possible exception of yours, is less unsettling than some of the lowlifes he usually uses to guard his clubs." her upper lip curls in disgust at their mention. "You have quite an aura about you. Mandalorians do, I mean. It's interesting how it differs based on the armor. In your case," she gestures to Cade, "It is unsettling and, I imagine, quite terrifying when you are angry. Whereas you," now turning to Kara, "I'm not even totally sure how to describe yours. It makes you seem more vibrant and open somehow. Non-threatening, but the armor itself still gives the feeling that you are not to be messed with." She seems slightly sheepish as she asks, "What are your names? Gorka will want to speak with you, and I can't very well not know who you are."

Cade barely moved, but after a brief pause indicated first himself then Kara.. I'm Briika Vencuyot and she's Tranyc Kyr'am..

Kara stiffened slightly, biting her tongue and holding back the urge to smack Cade.. May we have your name? she asked the Bothan.

The Bothan picks up on the slight cues and bristles at the deception. "Yes, of course you may. I'm Count Dooku. Now would you give me your real names? Gorka does not like employees who lie to him."

We haven't agreed to work for Gorka yet, Kara said reasonably, But if it will get us in the door to meet Gorka face-to-face, I'm Kara, he's Cade. You have to excuse him.. he's still a bit on edge after.. who was that again.. oh, yes; Xin. Cade promised to make boots out of him, if he refused to be a little more polite... Kara leaned in just a bit, Mandalorian's can be sticklers about politeness and respect at times...

She settles down a little bit and shoots a glare at Cade, "You might get that chance. Hutts don't wear boots, but maybe a rug. I'll leave the deception out of my report." she sighs and relaxes as she turns back to Kara, "I'm Kymber. Are you ready to meet the big ma-" she catches herself somewhat this time, but still looks slightly embarrassed, "the boss? I can get us in now, if you'd like."

Actually, Kara says as an idea comes to her, If Gorka could wait.. say a day or so? We could bring in a few other mando'ade and he can select the perfect skill set.

She considers this for a moment, and then begins cautiously, "That is acceptable, here is a contact number." She slides them a card with a comm number, "The recognition code is 'ember eye'" She tosses a credit chip on the table, "For your drinks." She stands up and walks out the door, nodding at the Barabel as she exits.

Cade sighs, Risky.. very risky...

Kara slowly turns her head towards him. Guuror gar bal gar nuhun, di'kut. She scolded.

Cade shrugged sheepishly. Ni ceta

Kara keyed the privet com-channel Dar'ika.. we might have a way in to see Gorka. We're going to have to plan this carefully, we're headed back to Solus.

He lets out a low whistle, "Hear that vode?" then back to Cade and Kara, "Watch your step, we'll meet you there."

Maya let them hash out the details of the how they wanted to handle their 'disguises' while she got started working the materials Ge'tal had brought back. Improving on Beskar'gam wasn't exactly an easy task, but adding some additional protection to the most vulnerable bits was the best way to start things off. She took her time with the proportions, and made sure the armor would be a bit lighter to move around once the full changes were made. After briefly glancing over at the time, her eyes went wide as she realized how long she'd spent working on the armor, and she quickly gathered her things (excluding and headed off for the spot that she'd agreed to meet Darien and Ge'tal.

They were already there when she arrived, a short walk from the Hutt crime lords bank but far enough away to not be immediately seen. She almost didn't recognize them at first, but thankfully she'd seen them without their helmets enough times that she managed to recognize them. "Sorry about the wait, hope you haven't been here too long. Ge'tal, your armor modifications are ready at the ship. Should be pretty simple, but I can show you how it works if you need."

Darien fiddles with the headset, consisting of an orange transparent screen across his eyes and an earpiece with a mic."Kih'parjai. Let's get this over with soon, I want my helmet back."

"After you," Maya said motioning with her hands. "And try not to talk too much once we're inside. You're pretending to be hired help after all. That and your accent is more noticeable then mine. Oh, and no Mando'a. That'd be a dead giveaway."

He gives a wry grin, "Alright boss. Strong silent type, got it. Ge'tal shouldn't have much trouble with that." He winks and nudges her with his elbow.

"Niaaahhh!!!!!" Ge'tal says, sticking her tongue out at Darian.
