Espio pokes his head in, You ready to take a look at the datapad? The others are in the briefing room.
Kandosii Beroya'se IC
Lead the way.
He strides into the briefing room of the Consular where the rest of the team is seated around the table and pulls the datapad out of his coat. We've got the goods! It's not a lot, but we have confirmation that the Zygerrians are attempting a resurgence. They've been funding the Thorned Circle for a couple years now, and this was a contract for the purchase of slaves and for continued funding. This was a high-ranking Zygerrian, enough to warrant a fairly high-ranked escort, hence the armor. We did not find him in any of the ships or in the sweep of the base. It is unfortunate that they slipped our net, though if we're lucky, they were on one of the ships we destroyed or were vented into space. He slides it over to Kara, Here, you can take a look at it yourself.
Kara picks it up and scrolls through the data.
Is there information about any other Thorned Circle bases? Cade asked.
Kara put the datapad on the table and pushed it with her finger away from her.
No mention of other bases on the datapad.. Kara replied, We'll just have to keep an eye open.
Darien looked around the group, Well, if thats everything, we should drop off our clients and work with our new toys. Darien looked to Espio. Have your techs had enough time to wipe the slate clean?
Yes, you've been cleared. Thank you for your assistance.
Not a problem, pleasure doing business with you. Darien says, shaking Espio's hand.
If you find any other jobs for us, Cade adds, Let us know.
Will do.
Kara taps Cade.. Something isn't right.. can't put my finger on what though..
Cade looks around then notices her empty holster. Kar'ika, your missing your blaster. Did you leave it in Solus ?
Kara puts her hand on the empty holster. Why would I-- I don' know...
Kara and Cade head over to Solus, Kara shaking her head as they enter the airlock from the YV, I'll have to call some contacts on Haven for a new one if I can't find it...
Kara disengages from the YV and starts calculating the jump. Darien, we're all set here, ready to head out.
Copy, see you at the Rendezvous point.
The navcomputer pinged and provided telemetry, Kara pulled back the controls and the stars elongated into lines as the ship made the jump.
About an hour later, Kara feels a light tap on her shinguard and looks down to see Chubbo holding up her missing blaster.
Ad'ika, you had my blaster? Kara asked.
Yep!Ifixedit!Itschamberwasn'top'rating'ficiently,soItweakedit.Itshouldworkbetternow!Jorn'nIaregoodwiththissortathing.
Shab, thanks vod'ika. Kara smiled and bent down to give him a hug.
You'rewelcome! He scampers off back to the port engine room.
Cade looked back as Chubbo runs off.. I think I should be worried, but I also kinda want to point him in the direction of the armory...
A couple hours later, all three ships drop out of hyperspace and land on Abregado-rae in nearby berths, with the exception of Mesh'la Solus which has to land at a smaller berth.
Kara secured the ships systems and made her way to the cargo bay, clapping her hands. Ok mirdala ad'ika, time to go to your papa and shopping!
<Dar'ika, I'll take Chub'ika shopping afterwards, you call home tayli'bac?>
Okay, I'll work on lining up the maintenance and refueling.
Chubbo, with Jorn following behind, comes scampering out of the engine room where he and Jorn had set up shop. I'mready!I'vemadealistofthepartsIneed! Whenarewegonnagoseemydaddy? Jorn still hangs behind glancing furtively back at the engine room.
On our way to see him now, She smiled down at him. Is the list small enough that we can pick it all up before we get there?
Cade walked up next to Jorn, nudging him with an elbow, Spill kid, what did you rascals tweek? he asked smiling.
Um, the uh, grease placement .
Itdepends!Howbigissmall'nuff? He holds up Darien's datapad, displaying a list of both some technical-sounding parts and some simple hardware.
Grease? Cade asks a bit worried, looking back towards the engine bay.
Kara takes the datapad, Let's take a look...
Just a little bit, we were trying to see if there was anything that needed to be fixed, but, uh, Squeak got a little bit too close. We cleaned it up though. Mostly.
