Maya stares at the bounty posting for a second, confirming what she'd heard was correct, then begins to laugh. " Well, I know exactly where to find the target, " Maya began to explain, sliding the datapad back to Darien. " Spooked or not, Gorka's name came up while I was digging through the system. That Hutt'll be the one leading the organization that has the account. We take Gorka down, I can use the credentials to track down the account and any other accounts Gorka was running. "

He grins and nods, Ibac borarir! I'll comm the others, but I'll let you brief them since you got the information for this mission, if you're comfortable with that. I've put in an intel request to Green, he's our contact with Tipping Point, He hastily explains, and we oughta have more intel on the Hutt soon. He puts on his helmet and sets it to the team's channel, We've got a line on a new job! Come to the common room and we'll fill you in.

Ibac borarir! = That works!

Maya contemplated how she was going to handle the briefing while waiting for the others to arrive. She felt a bit strange without her datapad to record notes with, but it wasn’t too much of a problem. If they were willing to take her on, she had the materials to make a new one on the way to Ord Mantell, and it wouldn’t be too difficult to pick up new slicing gear on the planet. She hoped.

Once the others had arrived, she waited until they were all seated to begin. She’d let Darien handle the specific details about the Hutt. The time had given her a chance to come up with an initial plan for tracking him down.

Alright everyone. This job my be a bit higher stakes then any of you are used to. The targets name is Gorka the Hutt. Posted bounty is at 44,000 credits, but that isn’t the score. Gorka is affiliated with criminal operations operating out of Worlport on Ord Mantell. Specifically, an illegal banking operation for criminal groups. One of which you’re all familiar with, the gunrunners we just took down.”

”While looking for information, I was able to hack into the gunrunners account, which is documented to have 300,000 credits in it. And that’s just one of the accounts likely housed at the establishment in Worlport. I was able to add an alias to the account to give myself access.”

”Here’s what I propose. We head to Worlport, and pull off two jobs. First, we use Gorka’s bank and the account I hacked to track him down. Once we have him, we use his own credentials, and the explosives I took from the gunrunners base to crack whatever vault he has in that bank and take him for all he’s worth.”

“That’s, of course, assuming you’re all okay with me joining your crew?”

Kara and Cade nodded and sipped their ales as Maya laid out her plan on getting the bounty for the Hutt, grinning at each other, as they privately planned out their cut of the job.. They were in mid sip when she told them of her plan to "realocate" the 300k. Both spit out their ales in surprise. Cade started coughing, Kara sat there with her jaw open, looking at each of them around the table, looking at her fingers to make sure she did the math right.

Darien raises an eyebrow inside his helmet, amused at his companions' reaction. So I take it you're interested? Don't count your Convors before they hatch. If the Hutt is spooked, they may have relocated some of his assets. Ge'tal, Vhal? I assume you're interested too?

Darien leans forward slightly as he starts to talk, glancing down at his notes occasionally. Green has yet to finish sending me the intel, but here's what we've got: Ord Mantell is a world of bounties and bounty hunters, but most of the bounties are too small for us to bother with, particularly given the amount (though not the quality) of competition. There are any number of kih chakaar tsad on Ord Mantell. Most of them we won't have to worry about, as even if we step on their toes, the hut'uun'la chakaar will probably be smart enough to not step on ours. The main outfits are Gorka the Hutt's operation and the Black Sun. The two of them have been in competition for a while now. As long as we focus on the Hutt, we shouldn't have to worry about Black Sun.

Now for the Hutt: The bounty is a kill bounty. Nobody has been able to get to him. Su! Several hunters have died trying, but Green thinks that a traat'aliit be Mando'ade ought to be able to get to him without too much trouble. He has a palace attached to the Lady Fate casino along the Path of Coins in Worlport, but the casino has tough security and a strict no-weapons policy that could prove... irritating. As for the palace itself, we don't have much intel on it. No one but the Hutt's most trusted operatives enter his sanctum, most of his business is handled through subordinates. It is rumored that he uses battle droids for his security inside his palace.

I've asked Green about the legality of taking the Hutt's assets, and he said that on Ord Mantell, the government won't do anything about us taking Gorka's assets as long as they don't catch wind before the job is done. Once we're gone they won't care, but as long as they feel that the assets are vulnerable, they'll want to take them for themselves. Which isn't all that much better than the Hutt having them.

Darien relaxes back in his chair and scans the group, Any questions? Tion gar tsikala oya'karir?

kih chakaar tsad = small criminal group. Su! = Yet! traat'aliit be Mando'ade = team of Mandalorians. Tion gar tsikala oya'karir? = Are you ready to hunt?

Falmok grinned, Sounds like a challenging hunt!

Cade wiped the spilled ale from his chin, We might want to upgrade our arsenal a bit if we're going in against a force as big as you're suggesting, maybe some rotary laser canons.. or heavy repeaters.

Defiantly grenades, Kara chimed in.. Speaking of heavy guns, Kara gestured towards Maya, what about those droids we just acquired, would you be able to repair and reprogram them for the job?

Falmok nodded his agreement, We might be able to program the supply droid with combat programming and hidden weapons as well...

Kara smiled at Falmok, I like what your thinking ner vod, but maybe we can have it reprogrammed as a backup pilot, so I can join in the fun as well.

It’ll take some time, but I should be able to reprogram them. And I’ll need to get some new slicing gear once we land in Worlport. In case the hutt’s holed up somewhere with security protocols I can disable. ” That and make a new datapad for reprogramming the droids.

"No weapons allowed?" Ge'tal queried. "No problem." she continues standing, her right fist beating her breast with a defiant grin on her face. "I AM a weapon!"

Then it sounds like we're decided! Kara, would you please go ahead and get us out of here?

Sure thing, I'll start the calculations. Kara replied, pausing at the door. Darien, what about Kyra?

He sighs, She'll understand. While I was resting, Vhal explained the situation to her.

Kara tilted her head and raised an eyebrow, as if Darien was a naughty five year old, then softened. Kih'parjai, we pull this off and you could retire for a while vod'ika. she said with a wink.

'lek, That'd be nice... He winces as he stands up and then heads off towards his room, typing something out on his datapad.

Once she was certain the conversation had finished, Maya headed out of the ship feeling rather excited. She was glad no one had any objections to her sticking around, and the concept of going after a hutt crime lord was exhilarating to her. More importantly, if they could get enough credits out of the illegal banking operation, she could finally buy everything to put together the designs she'd made for her beskar'gam. Once she was out of the ship she tracked down Vaerk to tell him what she was doing. On the one hand he seemed displeased that she wasn't starting on her armor immediately, but after she'd explained her plans he was understanding enough not to give her any further hassle over it. Between the two of them, it didn't take long for her to move her tools and belongings onto the Solus . She still hadn't mentioned the camtono of beskar she'd stolen from Kyr'tsad to the others, but she stowed it away with her tools for the time being nonetheless. After loading everything onto the ship, she immediately got to work on making a new datapad with some of the electronic salvage she'd taken from the junkyard.

It didn't take her long to finish the datpad, and with that out of the way she began working on the droids. Getting them back into working condition wasn't too difficult, but she'd need to reprogram them first. Connecting them to her datapad, she began to do a system wipe on their protocols. It'd take days to reprogram them with new directives properly, but it'd be well worth it once she had. For now, it was just a matter of waiting for the program to wipe their protocols, and for the ship to arrive at Worlport. . .

After a day and a half in hyperspace, Mesh'la Solus drops out of hyperspace over Ord Mantell and into a busy spacelane. As you approach the planet, the ground operator hails you and after a short discussion directs you to a berth in Morro Spaceport in the center of Worlport.

As you land in one of the slightly seedier parts of the spaceport, you see a small group of thugs at the entrance to your landing bay, but they seem to be a much more disciplined lot than the similar group that confronted you on Abregado-rae. One who seems to be the leader, a burly Falleen, is prominently wearing a large blaster pistol on his belt. Once the ship finishes its landing cycle and the refueling droids start to come out towards the ship, he approaches the ship, waiting outside the hatch.

Cade leans over Kara's shoulder, Did you take a wrong turn and take us to Abregado-rae, or do local gangs have the same play book for welcoming commodities?

Kara shook her head in disappointment, I'm guessing the same playbook.. She looked up at Cade, Graffiti was different on Abregado-rae.

Darien walks up behind Cade, Well, ner vod? Want to try your hand at it again? Perhaps Ge'tal can aid you on this one... He turns back toward the rear of the ship and yells, Hey Ge'tal! Want to put a scare into some chakaar?

Cade walks up to Ge'tal on his way to the ramp, Last time we walked towards them and they scattered, we'll pretty much do the same here, see how they react.

Maya couldn’t help but chuckle as she overheard them, shaking her head as she put away the rest of her tools, double checking once last time to make sure the camtono of Beskar was still properly disguised. Anyone taking more then a glance at it might be ble to determine there was an actual storage container there, but on the surface it just looked like another toolbox. Lifting up the most recent droid she’d been working on with a huff, she ran the simple program she’d managed with her last bit of time and smiled as it stood upright. The programming wouldn’t go any further then the most basic walking protocols and holding a gun, but at least it was one more thing a potential thief would consider before poking about.

Let me know if that doesn’t work out for you! ” Maya called after them as she disconnected her datapad and began hooking it up to the second droid. She didn’t doubt that other places would cower. This was Ord Mantell though. The name was synonymous with criminal activity. Whoever was receiving them would be just as likely to try to rob them at blaster point as run away.

Ge'tall grins evilly as she gets up and prepares to disembark.

As Cade opens the hatch, the Falleen, a tall, brawny man, steps forward. Who sent you? What's your business here? We weren't informed of any new arrivals and you didn't check in.

Cade slowly walked up to the Falleen and looked him up and down. Who are you ? he asked with a growl, Why would our business be any of yours?

He takes a step forward, looming over Cade aggressively and raising his voice. I am the lieutenant of the head of the Black Sun operation on this planet and I carry his personal authority. Any Black Sun business on this planet is our business. A couple of the men behind him glance at each other nervously, but you aren't sure whether they are nervous at the Mandalorians or at the Falleen.

"And your point is?" Ge'tal interjects sarcastically.
