Not yet, they’ve not. And they won’t, unless I have something worthwhile to give them.

”I didn’t take up the old ways in response to Kyr’tsad. I was adopted into it by the one who saved me from that building. Besides which, we fought today. That’s division, not unity. But I do not expect you to change your mind today. I do not ask you to change it at all. And I would not trust you even if you said you had. What I do trust is that you want to save your Vode. Your Riduur. Your shereshoy.

She stood up and sighed, giving him a sad look. He seemed willing enough now to divulge what she wanted, all she needed was to give him a little push. And if her suspicions were correct, this would be just enough to do the trick. “ We’ll talk again later. Clan Ordo is on their way here for the other prisoners, then we’re going to discuss a raid on the Kyr’tsad base on Carlac. We can have a long talk once it’s over. That’ll give you a few days to think about my offer, and I’ll make sure you have plenty of food and water in the meantime.

Vor'e. He sits back against the wall, his food forgotten for the moment, clearly in thought.

After Maya leaves the cell he continues staring off into space for a minute, then sighs and turns back to his food.

After the team finished eating, Falmok challenged Ge'tal to a game of Cubi'kad, Cade and Darien went over the cargo and highlighted the most interesting bits, while Kara and Maya worked on repairing some of the equipment and modifying the Jetpacks. After they finished up, Kara moved Mesh'la Solus into the hangar to make room for Liberator .

In the morning, Liberator arrived and began to load up the cargo just before Clan Ordo arrived in a Kom'rk to pick up the prisoners. Lacking a suitable landing site because of the Gozanti, it hovered just over the warehouse and lowered its ramp, allowing for an easier jump for prisoner transfer. A couple Mandalorians jetted out the back of the ship and started ferrying the prisoners one at a time up into the shuttle. A Mandalorian in green armor landed beside Ge'tal where she was going through some of the scavenged gear with some of the others. Jate bora. We don't have a new job for you, we're turning you loose for a while. You want to come back with us?

“Nope, I’m good,” she replied. “If I hang with these guys, I’m sure to see a lot of action.”

Okay, we'll just finish up loading these aruetiise and be on our way then. He casually salutes before jetting off to continue the process.

"Some of us could use a bacta dip in the infirmary," she adds.

He pauses, We don't have much of an infirmary, but I'll send down the medic, he oughta be able to patch you up.

The medic comes down and starts on Ge'tal, treating the more grievous injuries first, then injecting a stimpack before moving on to Darien. Darien's wound turns out to be much more difficult, and nearly reopens when the medic tries to treat him. The medic leaves it be, not wanting to make it worse. He advises Darien to let it heal naturally and not use too many stimpacks, as that is probably what made it so vulnerable. He then goes into the ship where he treats Falmok's injury, before going to join his clansmen for the trip back.

Meanwhile, the crew of the Liberator (such as they are) finished up loading the ship. Lyn approaches Cade for any additional instructions, We have finished loading the ship, is there anything else you'd like us to do before departure? The mechanic repaired some of the most damaged systems, but he told me that he may have to replace most of the bow plating and possibly some of the internal structure because of how much damage the nose of the craft took.

Cade nodded, Did he have an estimate for how long it would take for the repairs?

Lyn winces slightly, He said that they probably wouldn't be completed for a couple months, between waiting on shipments and the actual repairs themselves.

Maya headed into the room with the cell, stepping into it and shutting the door behind her. She still hadn’t told the others about her plan. Likely they wouldn’t be thrilled by the idea. It’d probably take quite a bit of convincing, but the more information she could pull out of the prisoner, the better it would go over.

She took on an impatient posture as she stepped in front of his cell, crossing her arms and tapping her fingers against her skin. Her mother had taught her that posture and appearance were just as in important as the words you used. If the prisoner thought Maya was busy, the intention was that it might throw him off slightly.

I’d have come sooner, but we were handing over the other prisoners to Clan Ordo. Sorry. What do you need?

He stops pacing as you enter and turns towards Maysh'la, pausing slightly as if still trying to make up his mind. I-I'd like to take you up on your offer. What questions did you have for me?

Maya stopped tapping her fingers and looked at him carefully, uncrossing her arms and taking a more relaxed stance. She had to be careful now. If she pushed him too hard, it might ruin all her hard work, but if she played things right, she might be able to guarantee some accurate information. “ That’s good to hear. I’ll need something to convince the crew of this deal. We’re raiding Carlac. What can we expect to face there? That should be enough for now, and we can have a proper conversation after.

First, I want to confirm what I get out of this. If I give you the information, I want to be left here with a distress beacon and a survival kit. Ner vod might not trust it, but ner riduur? She'd come even if she knew it was a trap.

I can agree to that, but . . . “ Maya sighed and appeared to pondering his demands for a few minutes. “ I mean no offense, but if she doesn’t, you’ll be stranded here, and I can’t guarantee you that we’ll be able to return for you. Besides that, I don’t know if you’ll have enough time to answer all my questions before we leave for Carlac.

He shift slightly into a more solid, determined stance. She'll come. I won't answer any questions if we leave.

I’ll see what I can do. But you realize you’re asking me to tell several angry clans to postpone their raid. I need something to bait them with so they’ll agree to this. Give me something valuable now to convince them, so this doesn’t fall apart.

How long do you expect this interview to take?
You asked about what opposition you expect to face. There are rarely more than three Kom'rks on site, the troop complement varies based on who is out on missions when. We have a small speeder pool, with a modified freighter used to transport them. What else?

That was a lot more specific then I was expecting but that will work. As for the questions, I have plenty. But time is of the essence. I’ll be back.

Maya headed towards the door without a second thought. It wasn’t nearly as pressing as she made it out to be, but there was no reason to let the prisoner know that. Best to let him stew on the fear of Riduur getting caught in the middle of a raid while she tried to convince the others this was a good idea. She opened the com link before heading out of the room, careful to make sure the prisoner could overhear the first bit. “ Darien, what’s your location? Prisoner’s ready to make a deal I think you’ll find interesting.

I'm on Liberator right now, want me to come to you?

In the common room on the ship, ” she said, closing the door to where the room with the Kyr’tsad’s cell was. “ And the others if you know where they are. They’ll probably want to weigh in on this too.

Got it. I'll relay the message. Vhal should be... somewhere on 'Solus , the others are all out here. He signs off with Maya and comms Ge'tal before heading over to where Cade and Kara are talking to Lyn. He raps his knuckles on Cade's shoulder plate, Hey, vode. Maysh'la says the Kyr'tsad hut'uun is ready to break, she wants us to meet up in the common room of Mesh'la Solus . You two able to break away for a while?

Sure, Kara says, we'll be right there.

How much more can you load, after everything is secured here Captain? Cade asks Lyn.

After we have taken this whole shipment, we will be pretty full. We could pick up more cargo, but with the added cost of operating a ship this full, it would hardly be worth the cost.

It didn’t take Maya very long to find Falmok, since he’d stayed behind to keep an eye on the prisoner. She was glad he’d let her speak with him alone, and even more so that the prisoner seemed to finally be willing to cut a deal.

Hey, the Kyr’tsad prisoner is ready to talk. I’ve called the others to the common room to talk about his terms.
