Not much more than you told us. They've got just two Cloakshapes left, and we observed some scattered foot patrols in the area.

Kara's voice came back over the intercom, Vode, I've got a Kom'rk headed towards the base.. I don't have details to prove it's those hutuun, but there is blue paint.

Darien looks to Maya, How do you feel about finishing your mission? Before she can answer, Falmok's lips twist into a snarl and he speaks up, If it is Kyr'tsad, I'll finish it. With or without her.

I’d rather not. I have some. . . Unpleasant history with the Death Watch and I don’t want them to know I’m here. ” It was an understatement, but even if they had likely saved her life, she wasn’t really in the mood to share.

If he’s going to push this though, we don’t have surprise on our side any more. I don’t think the deal would still be on, considering you shot some of them down. They’re stupid for dealing with Kyr’tsad but I don’t think the fences are so stupid to not warn them about it.”

Cade shrugged, No worries, you stay aboard Solus while the three of us deal with the ground combat... Cade pauses, Firfeck, we're down a jetpack.. we'll have to fix it before we assault the base. Maysh'la, how're you with mechanics?

Well, Vaerk taught me everything he knows, and I may have taught him a few things too. I can take a look at it, see if it’s repairable.

Vor'e!

Maya took the jetpack in her hands turning it around in her hands and removing a panel before finding the source of the problem. “ Oh well there’s your problem right here,” She began, tapping on where the blaster bolt had struck the jet pack. “ Most common problem with electronics. Blaster fries the insulation on some wiring, and everything grounds out. Shot hit the ignitor’s actuator, so your fuel is just sitting there.” She pulled up the burned wire and pulled a tool out of her belt, comparing a number of holes on the tool to the size of the wire before cutting it and pulling off the burned insulation by crimping the tool over the wire.

With the burned bits out, she twisted the wires together, before pocketing the tool and pulling out a small roll of red tape from one of her pouches. She made sure to cover all of the exposed wire before tucking it back in and replacing the panel. “ And good as new. Be careful on your next use, you probably flooded the cylinders when you took the hit, so it’ll have a little extra kick on the next jump.

Kandosii! Cade declared. He handed the pack to Darien, There you go Dar'ika, I'll grab the other one, the three of us can deal with the ground forces and Maya can assist Kar'ika with the flyboys.

If I'm gonna use it this much, I really need to just get my own! Darien slides on the Jetpack, shifting it into position.

Falmok addresses Darien, How do you want to play this?

Cade's right, Darien began, The three of us use the 'packs to get past the base perimeter as Kara strafes the airfield, her priority is to keep the fighters grounded . Maya, were you able to find out how many members there are in this organization?

No, I wasn’t. One of my contacts just tipped me off to the deal happening here. They neglected to mention how many would be here. . . Or that they would shoot me down when I arrived.

Cade started tapping his saber against his thigh plate in thought. It's possible many of them are still searching for Maya, so there might be only essential personnel left behind. Might as well go in now, and we can get the Watch operative too... Cade looked at Falmok, Darien and Maya. Which I think you all would very much like.

Falmok's lips pulled back in a snarl. Yes, I would. Very much.

Kyr ge'kaan at aruetii hutuun, Darien growled. Skira par Ori'buir!

Falmok inclined his head. Skira par Ori'buir.

Darien keyed the intercom, Kara, head to the base, we'll deploy just before we reach the perimeter fence. You handle the fighters and provide topcover. Maya will join you.

Understood, let's blow some osik up! OYA!

Maya still wasn’t on board with this idea, but considering it didn’t seem like her rescuers would drop it, there wasn’t anything to be done. “ If you’re going to go through with this, I might as well have a look around the ship, see if there’s anything I can fix up.

As they wait for nightfall, repairs to Solus are made and the Team go over their equipment in preparation.

As local time approached 2300 hours, Kara lifted Solus off the ground and shot forward skimming the treetops. Alright boys, drop point in under 30 minutes. Do your final checks now and stand by at the ramp..

A chorus of acknowledgements came back over the shared comm-channel. .. Kara wasn't sure who started it, but the sound of Vode An washed over the channel. Kara glanced over her shoulder at Maya, They're psyching themselves up.. she explained. Dar and Vhal have bad blood with the Death Watch.. that's why they won't let this go... too personal.

As the ship shoots out over the flat approaching the base, there is some rushed activity. A couple people scramble into (or out of) position and the lights flick on in the small hangar, revealing a pair of Cloakshapes. The Kom'rk is sitting on the landing pad, still running.

Kara began flipping switches and brought the ship to bare down on the hanger.. Vode, deploy! Go-go-go!

Three voices call out on the comm; Acknowledging the order, reports of successful launch and being clear of the ship. Kara hit the control for the ramp and activated the shields.

She trained the targeting system at the opening hanger door, her finger resting on the trigger, waiting for a clear shot of the first fighter....

" Believe me, it's as personal for me as it can get. But I'm not sure it's worth the risk. " Maya could only guess she might feel differently as well if she had her own set of beskar'gam, but for now she needed to stay put. Looking around the cockpit, she noticed a set of consoles and back at out the communications array.

" Is this your system interface? " Maya asked, taking a seat and looking over the controls. " I might be able to keep them from getting a signal out. If you don't mind? "

Darien swooped down to the Kom'rk, and placed a grenade in the thruster assembly and quickly turned back up towards Falmok as he laid down covering fire on a group of three individuals near the assault ship, killing one before the grenade detonated, mangling part of the assembly.

Absolutely , Kara replies, anything that'll give us another edge is more than welcome!

A flash of light and a small shock wave washed over the Solus' hull..

Whoa! Kandosii ner vod! Kara called over the comlink.

Maya deftly navigated over the console, isolating the system of the communication tower and beginning to send out a jamming signal. The shockwave across the hull made her jump in her seat, believing for a moment she'd mistakenly done something to the ship with her jamming signal before she realized what had actually happened.

" Their comms are down, at least for now. If they haven't called their patrols back yet, they won't be able to do it with their array. "

Cade notices a thug exiting the barracks and decelerates to get lower and lines up the bes'kad for an attack. As he connects with the thug, the momentum drives the blade deep, forcing the thug to fall back into the control plate for the door, shorting it out and sealing the door. Before Cade can give a witty one liner, the blade hits the shorted wires, sending an electric shock through the saber and into his arm. The sudden jolt throws him clear of the hazard...

Ninagigigig- ahhh, Firfeck!

Kara opened fire on the hanger's interior, but couldn't quite get a clear shot of the fighters, but several of the ground grew scattered as the laser bolts punched holes and furrows in the permacrete.

Firfeck, come on, hit something!

A Death Watch commando jets out of the back of the Kom'rk, and flies straight into Falmok. He stabs Falmok in the shoulder, causing him to drop his carbine, then twists and kicks back off, flipping through the air and gaining separation with his jetpack, Ne shab'rud'niO chakaar! JURKAD, VODE!

Another Mandalorian runs out of the ship carrying a tool kit. She runs over to the engine and begins hastily working on the damaged thruster assembly. It springs to life, flashing in her face, but it's now running.

Two more Death Watch Commandos jet out of the Kom'rk, one of them flying up to Mesh'la Solus. Kara and Maya hear a metallic *clank* as something attaches itself to the hatch. The other commando flies up behind Darien and fires with his carbine, hitting Darien in the lower back, just below the jetpack. Darien twists in midair to face his new opponent, Gar shabuir! Urcir gar kry'am!
