When are they coming to pick up? Falmok asked. What kind of ship do they use?

I don't know, soon I guess, we just got a shipment. I don't know what ship, never seen one.

Cade cocked his head, How many ships do you guys have then?

And what type? Falmok added.

You shot down our only ships, we don't have any more!

Cade started to come forward to stab the wall next to the man's head, but Falmok was faster. In a blur of motion, he whipped out his knife and stabbed the mans leg, putting all his weight behind it. WRONG ANSWER YOU HUTUUN CHAKAAR!! He roared in the mans ear.

Oh, sh--- Cade managed

He screams in pain as Falmok twists the knife into his leg, ALRIGHT! Alright! Stop, please STOP! There are two more fighters! Cloakshapes!

Cade shook his head, Tsk... You di'kut.. why would you lie? It only pisses us off...

He groans and sags back against the wall, clutching his injured leg.

( < DI'KUT! I spent all day preparing ori'skraan!> )

Cade and Falmok cringe slightly at the voice echoing through the ship...

[Her pronunciation has improved...] Cade replied as he wrapped a bandage around the man's leg.

Falmok looked at the door.. [Darien was just teaching her marksmanship and knife work..] he looked back at the bandage on the man's leg, [I might have to stock up before we get back, so I have supplies if there's anything left of Dar'ika after she gets her hands on him...]

A couple minutes later, Darien heads back from the cockpit looking slightly the worse for wear. How'd it go?

This group are intermediaries; they receive weapons and hold them for another group who's representative wears blue beskar'gam. They only have two cloakshaped fighters left, They recovered the ejection seat but not the pilot. Falmok reported.

Darien stiffened. Deathwatch?

Cade shrugged, They're due soon if we want to find out...

<Take your stations vode, lets get this search started..> Kara's voice came across the intercom, as the ships repulsors elevated Solus from the ground. Kara nudged the throttle to get a little forward momentum and began using the running lights to flash out Gar tegaanalir in dadita.

A few hours later, as you cruise over the forest, you notice a small, shallow river winding its way along. As you continue towards it, a flare fires up from the forest floor near your position.

Hello, Kara calls out, Got something!

Darien leans over Kara's council to look. Below them, standing in a small clearing is a lone figure next to a primitive shelter. Takes us down Kara.. Vhal, Cade.. head to the ramp, we might have her!

Copy! Falmoks voice calls, as they move towards the cargo hold.

when they reach the ramp, Cade activates the controls as Falmok rides it as it opens..

Four days earlier . . .

The alarm from the Kom'rk screaming in Maya's ear as she plummeted towards the surface of the moon wasn't helping her by any means. She should've known better then to think they wouldn't have patrols, yet the Cloakshapes had taken her by surprise nonetheless. And of course, now her engines were gone and her left wing was missing. She'd barely finished retrofitting the kriffing thing.

She reached again for the emergency kit that had come loose from the explosion, a flashing red number beeping at her on the console in front of her face. 10,000 meters. 9,000 meters. The emergency kit bounced just out of her reach again, fingers brushing against the handle. 8,000 meters. Almost, just a bit further. 7,000 meters. She yelled at the kit, but that didn't help in the slightest. 6,000 meters. Maya took a deep breath, and pulled the stick to the left, spinning the Kom'rk as it plummeted towards the ground. It was enough, and she barely managed to get a hold of the kit as it slammed into her chest. 5,000 meters.

There wasn't a reason to waste any more time, and Maya slammed on the eject button, her seat flying out of the cockpit into the open air. It took her a moment to realize she was upside down. the ground below her was rapidly approaching, and she fumbled around for the parachute. She could feel her stomach lurch as the parachute deployed, spinning in the air for a moment as she was flipped upright, almost losing her grip on the emergency kit in the process. It gave her a chance to make out the rest of her Kom'rk crashing into the ground with a plume of smoke trailing behind it. Hopefully that would be enough to keep them off her long enough to get away from the ejector seat. . .

Two days earlier. . .

Maya nearly vomited as she chewed down the food she had scavenged. She'd initially thought it had been some kind of vegetable, but she was certain now it was just some kind of root. Edible. But still a root. She pulled her Datapad out and made a note to get a second datapad to stash with her next emergency survival kit. Stock ones were woefully under-supplied. She made a quick trip to the nearby stream to refill her water purifier, thankful for a way to wash the taste out of her mouth with.

She'd last for a while before being forced to activate the emergency beacon, long enough that she was certain Vaerk would come looking for her. He'd insisted they use a system for a reason, and now she could really appreciate why. He'd come for her eventually, but she still had to worry about the ones who had shot her down in the present.

Now that she'd scavenged some food to supplement the rations in her crash kit, it was time to make herself a shelter. Something to protect her from the elements, and hide from any patrols looking for her. She'd had to avoid a ship already, so it was unlikely they wouldn't fly overhead again. She just needed to be ready to fight back if they found her. . .

Present day . . .

Skeptical was the best way to describe Maya's reaction as the ship began to near her, but noticing Gar tegaanalir in dadita coming off the lights gave her pause. She was fairly familiar with the Death Watch regalia by this point, and as far as she could tell it wasn't them. She doubted the fences would know that type of signal, as she hadn't even heard of it until Vaerk had taught her.

She was still cautious, but perhaps Vaerk had been on top of getting her a rescue crew. She'd been carrying around the flare gun just in case. She quickly pulled it off and fired the flare into the air, thankful as the ship seemed to notice her. Closer to it now, she was certain the ship wasn't Death Watch, and as the ramp opened she gave the Mandalorian riding it out a wave. Help had arrived after all, and well ahead of schedule. Maya couldn't help but smile.

Maysh'la Shryke? Called the Mandalorian on the foot of the ramp. Vaerk sent us, come aboard!

Maya tossed the spent flare gun aside and adjusted the emergency kit on her back, heading towards the ship. She was glad her rescue had showed up before she’d finished her plans for the little clearing.

Thanks for coming, ” Maya said as she neared the ramp, stepping from the ground onto the metal. “ I should warn you though, there’s patrols out looking for me. Several Cloakshapes. How’d you manage to avoid them?

Falmok tilted his head as she passed, We killed them...

Another voice from further inside the ship added. It was pretty easy too.. Cade said, Don't worry though, I think there are plans to encounter the rest momentarily. He indicated himself and then Falmok as the ramp closed. I'm Cade, that's Falmok. He tapped a control on the panel next to him, Kara, our friend is on board.

Copy came the reply from intercom, as the ship shifted into motion.

Maya’s eyebrows raised at the announcement they’d killed them. She hadn’t even gotten a shot off on them before they’d shot them down. Then again, judging by the appearance of her rescuers they seemed to know what they were doing.

Cade. Falmok. Kara. Got it.

She considered things for a moment as she set down the emergency kit in the hold, other concerns coming to mind. “ Did you uh. . . Run into any other trouble?

Darien strides into the cargo hold, Mostly from ner riduur, I may have forgotten to let her know we were leaving. Short notice and all that. I'm Darien, you may have seen me before, I usually take my repairs to your buir. He extends a hand for her to shake. Other than that, small patrol, nothing to worry about.

Maya gripped his hand firmly and gave Darien a nod. “ That armor does look a bit familiar.

Trouble will be on it’s way soon then. Those Cloakshapes belong to a group of fences. They’re cutting a deal with the Kyr’tsad. I came here to try and steal the shipment, but . . . Well you know how that turned out.

We'd gathered. Grabbed a guy from the patrol for Cade and Falmok to work over.

Get anything useful out of him? We should probably get out of here before Kyr’tsad shows .” Maya seemed overly uncomfortable at the idea of the Death Watch finding them. Not that many people were.
