Just then, Vaerk's long-range transmitter starts beeping again. He sprints off towards the garage, but after a short conversation, switches off the transmitter with a disappointed look on his face. He swears, slams the table and turns and walks back to the group. Darien, I need your help. Ner ad'ika has missed her check-in for 3 consecutive days. I want to contract you and your team to go after her and if she is alive, rescue or aid her, and if she is dead, avenge her.
Kandosii Beroya'se IC
Of course ner vod, Darien says. What intel can you give us?
Cade starts tapping his saber against the fabric of his leg, as Kara collects their gear.
Ner ad'ika left about a week ago, tracking down gunrunners supplying Kyr'tsad. Last time she reported in she was en route to a moon in the Denova system, not far from here. I can't raise her on comms, so either she's dead, captured, or the transmitter was destroyed. She told me that she was tracing a shipment and that she believes that they may have a base on the moon. She left here in a Kom'rk we had customized for her bounty hunting.
Kyr'tsad? Cade asked.
Did she report what the gunrunners or their group was named? Falmok asked, And are there identifiable markings on the Kom'rk?
We'll also need her name and description. Kara added.
No, she didn't give any name for them. The Kom'rk had the Clan Vanth aliik (he nods towards its presence on Falmok and Darien's armor) on its wings. The ship was primarily gray, but it had dark red detailings.
Her name is Maysh'la Shryke, she's about five and a half feet tall, brown hair in a ponytail. She doesn't have her beskar'gam yet, I've been after her for a while to forge it. She also has cybernetics; her left leg and implants in her hands.
I can't say I'm optimistic about the situation, so if it comes to it, gra'tuar Maya.
Ok ner vod, we'll find her, Darien said, he turned to the others, Alright, mount up vode!
Kara squeezed Vaerk's arm. Stay strong, we'll be in touch.
Cade stopped to talk to Lyn for a moment, then pointed towards Vaerk.
Lyn tentatively makes his way to Vaerk. Sir, my new employers informed me of your situation.. We will help in any repairs to the Liberator that we can, with your guidance. As for the more extensive repairs, my employers will discuss them with you upon their return.
Vaerk, discomfited by the whole scenario, turns to Lyn, Very well, Let's start then.
The Team quickly gather some resources and Kara pilots the Mesh'la Solus at high speed to orbit.
Alright vode, hang on to your shebs! Kara called, as she pulls the hyperdrive controls.
4 hours later, the ship drops out of hyperspace over a large, blueish planet orbited by several small moons. A quick examination reveals that only one of them is habitable: a small, purplish rock with light gravity, a breathable atmosphere, and little vegetation.
Edited by P-47 ThunderboltDarien leans over Kara's shoulder to look at the displays. Any indication of infrastructure, or settlements?
Scanning.. Kara says, typing into the computer...
Kara sees a structure on the scanner, a compound set low in the ground with several warehouse-like buildings and a small hangar. She also picks up another site of what appears to be wreckage.
I'm seeing some structural buildings here, and what looks like a crash site here.. Kara says, indicating the two areas on a map overlay. I'm thinking of doing a low altitude flyover of the crash site...more of a hover, to see what it is, before making a pass on the buildings..
Sounds good, take us in.
As Kara starts to bring the ship in, she sees two blips on the sensors, closing fast.
We have incoming! Kara announces, Two boggies, coming in hot.
I see them! Cade says, slipping into the co-pilot seat. I'll work on firing solutions..
Falmok leaned over Cade's shoulder, and did a quick scan. Cloak-shaped fighters, can't get a good look at any markings..
Kara opens a channel, Incoming fighters, this is Mesh'la Solus , identify yourself and your intentions.
You're entering protected airspace. Turn back now or we will shoot you down.
Protected by who? Kara asked.
Us. Now turn around and leave or we will open fire. This is your last warning.
Darien leaned in, Listen friend, we're just looking for someone who got a little lost, we know they came here, once we find them, we'll leave.
Negative. You are violating our airspace. Turn around now.
Listen to me very carefully, Darien began. We didn't come here for a fight, but I'm not leaving this system without my friend.
The fighters slow their approach, but maintain formation. Taking up escort position. Who are you?
Edited by P-47 ThunderboltConcerned citizen, helping to find a missing person. Darien said with an outward calm that didn't match the building anger and suspicion that this search won't be ending well. For either party.
