Copy that, Darien replied, and keyed off the transmitter.

Cade finished relaying the information to Kara.

Kara is filling in the Rangers, apparently they can track this ship, but can't see ' Solus...

Cade searched the prisoners, then transferred them to the holding cell on Mesh'la Solus, then returned to Cat's Thorn to help with gunnery duties as Darien and Falmok piloted through the asteroid field. Kara followed, keeping Thorn between herself and the Pirate Base, hiding in the sensor blind spot. Along the way, an asteroid that was hidden from view, slammed into the port side of Cat's Thorn , compromising the shield coverage for the entire ship.

Osik, Darien swore, Kar'ika, keep an eye out for debris.. Our port side got hit..

Shield coverage is compromised, Falmok reported. I'll see what can be done to fix it..

Copy, Kara replied, I'll keep an eye open.. Let me know if you need me to cover any threats on that side.

Will do.. Darien said. Heads up people, Base is coming up.. scanning the area. stand by..

The scans reveal the three ships from earlier as well as two more Gozantis docked with the station. There is another, smaller ship on the landing pad outside the hangar, a VY-865 Aurore -class freighter.

Cade stared at the scan results. Dar, scan the Aurore, please. Did they transfer any prisoners yet?

After brief moment, Darien says, No, no life signs on the Aurore , but, like our intel suggests, the lower three levels of the station are teeming with life forms. Haar'chak! How did no one find these hut'uun before? He slams his fist into the console and sits more upright, keying the comm, Gar an tsikala?

Kara's voice was almost a whisper, Ni hokaanir aruetii ge'hutuun. Gatiir an.

Oya, let's do some hunting ner vod. Cade said from the weapons station.

Falmok nodded, <Ready, let's rain some vengeance down on their heads.>

Just then, every light on the station and on the ships docked with the station suddenly goes out.

Me'bana? Darien asked, as he scanned again.

Cade keyed the intercom, Ty, do you know the names of those three ships?

Err... one 'a the 'zantis is the Pirate's Rose, the Marauder is the Vengeful Vagabond, I don't know the other ship.

Darien keyed the transmitter, Vengeful Vagabond , this is Cat's Thorn . What happened to the power?

We don't know! It just blipped out! Never 'append 'afor. We can't raise anyone. The backup power should kick in soon.

Darien muted the transmission, Well, we won't get a better chance. Vhal, Kara, fire!

Kara adjusted her position slightly, keeping Cat's Thorn between the active ships and the Solus. She opened fire on the bases bridge as Falmok opened fire, hoping that her presence would still be hidden from the active ships.

As Kara fires, the secondary power comes online, lighting the windows red. Kara's fire lances into the windows of the bridge, just as the shields come up, and her fire breaches the station. A couple unfortunate pirates are sucked out the window with the initial rush atmosphere, their screams deafened by the silence of space. Falmok's fire is absorbed by the now-raised shield which flashes blue as the fire hits.

Falmok adjusts his aim to the Marauder, trying his best to target the bridge. Falmok utters a silent prayer and pulled the trigger and watched the beams converge impacting the shields.

The shot pierces through and hits true, but the thick armor of the Marauder results in minimal damage.

Falmok opens the intercom, Ty, Gosse, I'm sending you targeting solutions for the initial hit on the Marauder!

Copy that! They open up with their laser cannons and score a light hit on the Marauder, but not enough to have much effect.

Kara swung Mesh'la Solus around, drifting slightly to get a clear shot past the C-ROC, and opened fire. Her shots impacting the bridge area of the Marauder.

One of the Gozantis starts to power up their engines and get underway, and they fire at your newly acquired Gozanti, hitting the ship solidly in spite of the shields.

Darien attempts to bring the shields back to full strength, but finds that he isn't familiar enough with this type of shield array.. He is however, able to shift shield power from the aft section to the fore.

There we go! I'll try and get this back to full power, hurry and take out the Marauder.

Speak of the devil, and he will shoot you in the face. The Marauder and the remaining Gozanti start to power up their engines and then they both open fire at you, the bigger guns of the Marauder opening gaps in your shielding and the Gozanti's smaller guns raking across your prow.

Cade studies the targeting computer for a moment, Vhal'ika, I've got a new firing solution for you.

Darien cheers from his position at the front console, Oya! The shields are back up!

Falmok nodded his thanks to Cade, and opened up on the Marauder, just as it shifted slightly, sending Falmok's shots into empty space. Karabast!
