How about more willing to answer questions about the base?
Drawing the layout, ect.

Okay, feel free to start your interrogation IC.
What 3?
As far as captured personnel go, you've got the pirate captain, 2 unconscious crew members, and 2 surrendered crew members.
Never mind, I figured out what you were saying.
By the way, I goofed on the armament, I got confused by the confusing listing and thought that there were 2 (per side) twin heavy laser cannons, there are actually 2 heavy laser cannons per side, but they are linked (so 2 weapons systems total, 1 per side. Each has the linked 1 quality).
Go ahead and voice Darien for this bit, the GM shouldn't really be in charge of the planning process. ![]()
Ok, would Darien be ok with this kind of plan? I don't want to step on your toes
As long as it isn't too hare-brained, it should be fine with him. He generally keeps his cool and tries to do things in a safe (ish) and orderly manner. If he gets desperate (which is rare, generally only when someone close to him is in trouble) he'll put himself at great risk, but he is always loath to put his friends/family in unnecessary risk.
Unless it is hare-brained (and he isn't desperate), feel free to have Darien propose a plan, because after all, he is technically the leader (even though that makes the dynamics really, really weird when he's a GMPC. That's what I get for using a backstory character :P)
The plan is probably risky.. hopefully not harebrained yet.
So far, Darien, Falmok, Cade and the two Gunners take the C-ROC to the base, blow the bridge and shoot up the hanger. Hopefully that'll pave the way for the Rangers, who can go in through the hanger and work their way into the base.
Our team will dock with the prison deck and evacuate the captives, making sure they have the two kids.
Sounds good. I'm going to flip a DP and post IC... Muahahaha...

Sigh... here we go.
Please make an Average Deception check with 1 Boost and 1 Setback.
What were you saying about the sector ranger not being able to track Solus?
Pirates could track Cat's Thorn, but couldn't tell Solus was there..
Ah.
What next?
How long is the travel time to the base again?
~45 minutes at speed 3 (top speed for the C-ROC).
Kara will tell Rangers to jump now.
And try to stretch our transit time..
When are you hoping to get there? (In relation to the ranger's forces)
They have a two hour or three hour transit time, correct?
Yes.
I am also guessing the pirates don't have extreme range sensors, but have some sort of lo-jack system, basically the Cat's Thorn is actively sending data to the base so they can track it's movements?
And for clarification, this asteroid base: Are the Bridge, hanger, prisoner transfer, ect. on the exterior surface?
Or are is it more like a fly inside a hollow cavity?

More like the first, if you've ever played Empire at War (specifically skirmish mode), that's what I was envisioning (more or less):
You summarized the situation quite well, it's a similar principle to a homing beacon.
