That would take some supposition on the part of the PCs. What they would know is that a Class 2 is very above average and that most civilian ships cap off at class 3. The Gozanti is a commonly repurposed civilian model, but the Marauder is a military model often used by PDFs and pirates. You can slow down your hyperdrive if you are concerned about getting there ahead of them.
