Okay, then I'll go ahead and list the cargo of 42.

Next step is modifications.

We'd discussed Carbon Freeze for prisoner transport, turning the cells into crew/VIP quarters. 5k per slab, handwave the cost of the relatively minor renovations. 0 HP.
Then bolstering life support systems (prevents maintenance and System Strain penalties from having too many passengers) would be 2,500 credits and 1 HP.

Each carbon freeze slab, empty or full, is 5 Encumbrance, taking up some space in the ship. You basically have to build a rack to hold the slabs, so even if you temporarily remove one of the slabs from the ship, you still take up that encumbrance. How many slabs do you want? You have space for 3. If you drop 2+ Encumbrance, then you've got space for 4.

Three slabs and bolstering life support would cost 17,500.

If you go with the above, that leaves 2 HP. Any other modifications for Mesh'la Solus or Liberator ?

I need a decision on the above, please.

is there a per freeze cost?

I think three slabs will be fine..

At the moment, I can't think of any upgrades... ( then again, I don't have the Smuggler books- or many pilot based books.. so I'm not sure whats available..)

100 credits per freeze.

That'll be fine. You'll have plenty of options to pick up upgrades later.

@RuusMarev , please go and respond to Vaerk IC, shouldn't take long to resolve and then we can move on with the story.

He'll have to acquire the carbon-freeze stuff, so your next bounty or two won't be capture bounties, then you'll have to return for a quick installation (only a couple hours). The other stuff can be accomplished now.

After deducting 17,500, that's 243,700 which when split six ways comes out to 40,600 each, with a remainder of 400.

@RuusMarev / @Tramp Graphics Darien, Falmok, Cade, Kara, Maya, and Ge'tal each get 40,600 credits.

I've been doing some searching for a support vehicle to aid the team and give Kara something to use her skill-set.. The description of this looks promising..

Sounds like you can modify it to carry limited passengers, or possibly tow a sled or something that the team could sit on..

(I'm guessing it would max out Solus on encumbrance..)

Unfortunately, that was built for the Empire and isn't era-appropriate.

How about a different same and re-skin.. :D

Mandalmotors Kal- Speeder... Built to assist squads with transportation and fire support in urban environments where Kom'rk Assault ships won't fit or draw too much attention.

Kits are available that allow you to mount fold down "jump seats" from the sides of the rear section, two per side. Or a tethered repulsor sled (cargo) or personnel transport. Little more than a spar with three jump seats per side, max six.

Aaron Fowler - Black Hawk UH-60L Troop & Gunner Seats

Sure. I'll give it some thought and get back to you, but I'm inclined to consent. :)

Probably tweak the stats a bit.

Not a lot to choose from that can perform these functions and fit in a small ship like Solus. :(

Yeah...

You gave a pretty good backstory for your idea. I really like it and will definitely find a way to implement it. I'm picturing a Kal speeder blitzing down a Sundari skylane, flanked by a pair of Balutar swoops.

I haven't gotten to the speeder yet because today's just been one of those days and I haven't had the bandwidth, but I remembered something else: Notoriety and Exploits

We'd talked about using No Disintegration's Exploits system, but I found it uninspiring and dropped it. This is my version of it, and it adds a couple new systems. I'd like to give it a shot, what do you three think? Any questions?

I've already got details for the party's Notoriety, Reputation, and Exploits, drawn from the results of previous sessions. I'll bring those out and explain them so you know what to expect in the future.

printing out a copy to read when I get a chance.. :D

I've skimmed the document.

The system looks interesting, but potentially unwieldy. I have no objection to trying it out - so long as I don't have to do the book-keeping!

If we do use it, it would be nice not just to be told Notoreity +2, Reputation -1, +1 Exploit, etc. after a job, but also the reasons why.

Yep, that'll be me. :D

That's the plan.

Here's a breakdown of your current values and their sources. Hopefully it helps you get a better understanding of what it'll be like in play:

Notoriety: 18

  • Heroic-Level Starting Bonus: 5
  • Dax Tarrk: 3 (1 for the session, 1+1 for the job and being particularly noticeable about it)
  • Chubbo: 2 (1 for the session, 1 for the job)
  • Maysh'la: 1 (1 for the session. While the job was completed, it was done in relative secrecy)
  • Gorka Part 1: 1 (1 for the session, job as yet uncompleted)
  • Gorka Part 2: 3 (1 for the session, 1+1 for the job and being particularly noticeable about it)
  • Aiviovi: 2 (1 for the session, 1 for the job)
  • Gorka Follow-up: 1 (1 for the session. There was no official job)

  • Heroic-Level Starting Bonus: 5
  • Dax Tarrk: 1 (job well done)
  • Chubbo: 1 (same)
  • Maysh'la: 1 (same)
  • Gorka Part 1: 0 (job not completed)
  • Gorka Part 2: 1 (job well done)
  • Aiviovi: -1 (Asajj Ventress was not pleased with you, and so gave a bad Yelp review)
  • Gorka Follow-Up: 0 (no job)

Exploits: Efficient 2, Dangerous 2

  • Dax Tarrk: Efficient 1 (completed the job quickly and did it quite well)
  • Chubbo: Dangerous 1 (took on a pirate base by yourself and defeated the leader of Thorned Circle in solo combat? Yeah, I think it applies)
  • Maysh'la: Efficient 2 (did the job quickly, as was needed, and faster than was expected)
  • Gorka Part 1: No exploit (job not completed)
  • Gorka Part 2: Dangerous 2 (another big fight, and deserving of the bonus)
  • Aiviovi: No Exploit (none really applied and the client was displeased with your results)
  • Gorka Follow-Up: No Exploit (none really applied and there was no job)

(note: in order for Exploits to apply, the character must know who you are well enough to associate the Exploits with your character)
Efficient 2 effects: +20% base value for jobs with a deadline.
Dangerous 2 effects: +20% base value to jobs seen as abnormally hazardous or where the target has a history of violent actions, though the party doesn't receive normal hazard pay (normally 10%).* Add 2** Boost to all Coercion checks hinging on threats of force and 2 Setback to renegotiate payment based on danger, violence, or bodily harm.

*This basically means that you don't get hazard pay, but you can charge more for the job since you're more likely to succeed.
**Currently playing Boost and Setback by rank, but I'm not sure that's the best choice. I might change it later so that extra benefits are not ranked (like how Galaxy Mapper and similar talents work). This houserule is prone to tweaking every now and then as we playtest it, but it shouldn't be anything major and I'll always discuss the change with you.

@RuusMarev , whaddya think of this? Beviin (Lance)

I'm picturing it as having the front of the Balutar, but widening back out past the driver. Then the "tail" would look a bit different, as it would be designed to mount the modules. Then the modules would further modify its appearance. Lastly, it can tow a trailer behind itself, but the trailers would vary in appearance based on their role.

It'd take up a pretty big chunk of space in Solus .

nice... shame it takes up so much space.. Youre Gonna Need A Bigger Boat GIFs - Get the best GIF on GIPHY

Yeah, that's where you have to really strip down your cargo. But it makes sense, you're dealing with a relatively small cargo bay.

If you go with just the speeder and one module, it's only 20. With the 15 for the carbon freeze, that's 35, leaving 25 Encumbrance for other stuff.

@RuusMarev , please go ahead and post IC. Once we've resolved things with Vaerk, I'll do a little narration and we'll introduce @Bellona 's new PC.

@RuusMarev , how much would Vaerk know about Haven? I'm not sure how widely Haven would be known within allied clans.

Not very... considering the reasons of how they ended up there and that they are mostly keeping their heads down...

(I think The planet the Seps are blockading is the "Diversionary" planet..The "sacrificial face" )

Yeah, the Seps are blockading Phindar, which is the only hyperlane to Haven.

Okay.

I just remembered that Solus still has 3 HT. I'll have Vaerk repair that and just deduct 1,500 from the operating budget.

I'm using Phindar as how I kind of have Mandalor in my non-canon I wish they would've...

(Mandalor in CW and Rebels was the "face" and Manda'yaim the true Mandalor is kept safe elsewhere..) But in canon, the clans of Haven went with this route; In order to keep their home safe, they'll use a nearby planet as a shield. Allies visit, trade, and are told they are at Haven.. (which to the clans, isn't a total lie, Phindar is the Haven for their home's survival..

(huh... I just realized they are essentially the Children of the Watch clan... hiding in their sewer.. only we have an entire Planet and walk around in daylight.. :D )

Sigh... and I forgot an additional 1k cost for a needed mod option on the attachment. Oh well. I deducted that from the operating budget as well, books are balanced.
