It might help if you recorded which talents you picked up on which trees. Makes it easier to double check and to know where you are on any given tree. I'd appreciate it if you'd go through and record so that it's possible to know where you are in your progression.

I do it in column form, listing gird coordinates next to the talent, but I've seen others do it like this:

xxox
xooo
xxoo
oooo
oooo

Darien picked up Resilience 2 (10XP). Thought it was narratively appropriate given what he's been doing the last couple weeks.

I normally do that in InDesign with a custom folio for each character. I never made one for Ge’tal. 😔

While I’m at getting her armor upgraded, can I add an Enhanced Optics Suite? That’ll fail my last Hard Point after the Beskar is added.

Sure.

Thanks. I’m now down to 580 credits. My armor load out now looks like this:

Mandalorian Armor:

  • Vacuum Sealed
  • Integrated Comlink
  • Range Finder
  • Superior
  • Cortosis Weave (Beskar Plating)
  • Enhanced Optics Suite

If I ever want to add more attachments, they’ll need to be ones that don’t take any HP, or I need to find someone (an Artisan) to add Hard Points to the suit (fat chance).

Can you elucidate me as to what exactly an Artisan is/does mechanically? I believe it is from an FaD splat I do not possess.

I think that is an option, but I need to know more and then I'll think about how to implement it.

Artisan is an F&D specialization for the Sentinel Career. One of the Force talents (a 25 XP talent) they have is Intuitive Improvements, which allows an Artisan to make a Mechanics check while crafting or repairing an item adding their Force dice to the roll, and spend two FP to increase the item’s hard points by one up to a max total of two additional hard points. They can do this with any number of items, but only get one shot at each, unlike with the Tinkerer talent which is limited to one hard point on one item, and each rank must be applied to a new item.

My signature character, Korath Lorren, (a Sequel era “master level” F&D character)has that spec and talent. It’s how he got his lightsaber up to 8 HP.

To be clear, I’m not actually expecting this.

Ah, thanks.

That was something available to the Jedi in the Clone Wars Alt U PbP and I thought it was something like a Mentor.

I'll consider something similar, but no guarantees.

Not asking for any. The only thing I’d want the added HP for is the micro-rocket launcher attachment, which I can do without. (How does Boba Fett cram so much into his armor🤔)

The other attachments I’m looking at (all of which I can still afford right now) don’t take up any HP. These are all from Cyphers and Masks and include the Boot Blade armor attachment (0 HP, 100 cr), and the dart gun (0 HP, 200 cr), and Concealed Climbing Cord (0HP, 100 cr) gear attachments. The latter is a decent substitute for Integrated Ascension Gear.

The only other thing I might want to eventually pick up is a pair of Vamblades (DC page 48, 500 cr) the description says they’re designed to be used as a pair, but it doesn’t really specify if they’re sold as such.

You can use the vambrace rules to mount the weapon attachments.

Not familiar with that one. What book is it in?

My homebrew. Used by pretty much all the other PCs:

Yeah, not necessary. I’d still need more HP to attach them, than I currently have, and most of the attachments I want, other than the rocket launcher, don’t take up any HP.

Also, the Vamblades I am looking at aren’t an attachment. They’re wrist mounted Brawl weapons, and can fit under the bracers of the armor. No HP required.

Oh, yeah. I was thinking Wrist Blades from CotR (or was it RotS?).

The Vamblades I'd treat as being sold separately.

So, do you think I should add those other 3 attachments from C&M now or save my money for later?

Whichever you want. You'll need to make Negotiation checks for them though. Rarity +2, but take 2 Boost for the weapons given Mandalorians' predisposition for keeping them around.

I’ll wait.

Okay, then please go ahead and narrate IC, picking up once they drop you off. It'll take a few hours to finish the armor attachments.

Looks like Ge’tal convinced Cade and Kara to get their armor upgraded. Can they get the same deal?

That depends on what attachments they are after.

@RuusMarev?

I was offering the full Beskar (Cortosis Weave) attachment at the very least.

Well anything involving Beskar will require a Hard Negotiation check. Ge'tal vouching for them will add a Boost.

During this time period, the clans are keeping a very tight grip on whatever Beskar they have, as they have no good way of acquiring more. Convincing them to part with it to non-clan members will be difficult.

@RuusMarev, C&K's armor is narratively beskar, isn't it? Heirloom armor, reforged through the generations? That doesn't mean you can't get the attachment, this is just to clear up the narrative side. For Darien and Falmok, it's narratively beskar, including reforged elements of their mother's armor.

Narratively, the attachment would be shoring up the armor, adding additional plating, replacing any pieces that were not yet beskar, etc.

I believe their armor is full beskar as is, yes.

I'll be good for the shoring up.. or we can handle the details after this mission ends... (busy at work, so I've been making notes on a word doc so I can catch up)

If the weave adds benefits I don't currently have, I would like to add it.

@Tramp Graphics I saw the mention of HP-less attachments from Cypher.. I'll have to get you to mention some of those since I don't have that book yet. :)
