Is Kara able to recover her pistol? (man I wish we had Whistling Birds..Kara would mount , like 6 of those launchers....)

Pending results of the upcoming checks, Kara could try next turn, but it would likely be in lieu of jetting away since it takes two maneuvers with a jetpack (one to accelerate from 0 to 1, one to actually fly) and she'd need to engage Xin to try and grab it from him (unless it is dropped, in which case she would need to take a Maneuver to pick it up, if not a maneuver to engage it [though I'd likely let that slide]).

Please go ahead and post IC. You probably want to include a comm-call to team members in your IC post in case Kara drops next turn.

What would the pool look like on: Jet and grab/whipcord Xin, fly up and drop the chakaar

It'd be a Daunting Athletics check with 2 Setback.

hmm..

Ok, what kind of damage did the grenade do, since it didn't activate Blast?

(When Kara jets, is there a building just outside Xin's range, where Kara could shoot with her Carbine?)

It only did damage to Xin. Blast wouldn't do any extra damage to Xin, it would only affect his minion.

It would take a Maneuver to accelerate, and a Maneuver to move. Unless Kara has Quick Draw, it would then take a third Maneuver to draw the carbine, so she would have to wait until the next turn. Landing on a rooftop would be another Maneuver as she would have to decelerate again.

Nice roll! Depends what you mean by "finalize." He's fairly desperate (hence why you managed to talk him down so easily ;)), feeling that the world is crumbling around him.

Essentially, I want a chance for the group to talk it out, and make a decision if they think the risk is worth 60k credits, or if they think they've covered their tracks well enough already that Jabba doesn't actually know who they are.

Yes, that's fine. Either heading back to the ship and coming back later (pushing his bedtime even further back :D) or comming with them and reporting back a bit sooner.

General reminder, you're still on the clock for the dar'jetti. I may have painted myself into a corner a little bit, but travel time is ~5 days (a Star Wars week is 5 days), so you'll need to make a beeline there and hope for enough advantage to give yourself a comfortable time cushion.

Something else to keep in mind is that he may not be willing to let you go with the credits or actually do the thing until he's confident he'll get the credits. The delay could be very consequential, possibly negating the benefit of the track-covering entirely, depending on how things shake out in the immediate aftermath of Gorka's death.

We might have to hunt down Kimber... she knows Cade and Kara's first names...

Did I miss the alert of the dar'jetti in IC?

That was a few months ago. :D

I'll see if I can find the post.

@RuusMarev, that was easy. Happened to go right to it:

Edited by P-47 Thunderbolt

oh yeah... ok. we seriously need to resupply on the way, lol

Do you want to include anything about her jetpack in the IC post, or should I do it with the post for the NPCs?

Oops.. planed it out, forgot to include... hang on....

ok.fixed

@RuusMarev, do you want to flip a DP to upgrade an incoming attack, or two to upgrade both? We're at 4/3 light over dark and on the tail end of the session.

uhhh, sure.. umm, would that stack if Kara Side Steps, fires Carbine/ or whipcord?

(should've been side stepping this whole encounter.. <_< )

Side Step is a Maneuver, but if you were able to do so it would stack. What is the part about the carbine and whipcord?

probably me typing while distracted :) trying to think of some way to take out Xin... but it doesn't seem like I can pull it off without help...

(I really want to jett with Xin snared.. But Kara should really get out of Dodge)

Goons:
Maneuver: Cover (1 Setback)
Action: Shoot at Kara: Shooting at Kara: 1eP+1eA+1eC+1eS 1 success, 1 threat
p-a.pnga-s-a.pngc-th-th.pngs-th.png

They hit for 7 damage, and take a Strain (Wound).

Xin:
Maneuver: Aim
Action: Shoot at Kara with both pistols: Shooting at Kara: 2eP+1eA+1eB+1eC+1eD+2eS 1 failure, 1 advantage, 1 Triumph
p-tr.pngp-a-a.pnga-a.pngb-a.pngc-f-f.pngd-th.pngs-th.pngs-th.png

Rolled an extra Setback by mistake, forgot a Boost from Accurate. (Yeah, my brain's on the fritz again. Need some routine maintenance. :P)

forgot a die: 1eB 0 successes
b--.png

Final result: 2a1T
With the Triumph, he upgrades the difficulty of Kara's next check, and with the 2 Advantage he adds a Setback to her next check.

Kara is back up now. It'll take a Maneuver to draw your carbine, so you probably just want to jet (Maneuver: Accelerate, Maneuver: Move).

At 12 wounds... yeah, that would be smart.

Okay, then please go ahead and post IC. If you're going straight back to the ship, go ahead and narrate your way there. Kara's injuries aren't particularly narratively serious. 3 stimpacks would wipe all 12 wounds out, so the amount of stims you use is up to narrative comfort as she'll recover the last pack's worth of wounds through natural rest.
