It'll take 1 character 3 rounds per charge I think you have 4 charges.

We've already been here a couple minutes, how many rounds done?

The time spent so far was to locate the structural weakpoimts to get it to fall in the direction you want. You still have to rig them.

@Bellona do portable plasma shields take a maneuver or incidental to activate ( @jhh3 the answer to this question is relevant to you and whoever takes the first turn ( @Bellona or @jhh3 should activate their personal plasma shields)

@jhh3 do you want to go first (you get to if you want to, but wait until @Bellona or @RuusMarev narrates the crash) I recommend activating the sense defense double upgrade as your action, maneuvering your bike next to the others and jumping off as a maneuver, spending 2 strain to engage with Mireska and Jorin, quickdrawing your lightsaber, and as an incidental bring up your portable plasma shield (a vambrace that I imagine projects an energy shield similar in size and shape to a gunman energy shield from episode 1 (justifying the 4/4 defense)). You have the circle of shelter talent which will let you use parry/reflect to protect adjacent characters.

For narrative purposes, some things are narrated somewhat out of order of the way they happened mechanically to try to avoid a post that is too meandering and confusing to read.

That's 9 Advantage with Design Flaw. I have Clanker Killer 2, which can remove 2 Boost and replace them with Success (which I would do since Advantage is pretty much useless here). I forgot to do that, but in this case there is no reason not to, so if I had thought of it I would have. I figure you'll be okay with it, so I'm going to factor that into my IC post. Not surprising I slipped up after this much rolling. :P (starting to go a little crazy, losing track. ) Ignoring the Advantages.

At what point are you your men take damage from incoming fire (there were several successful attacks), and do any of you drop from that?

Here's a sniper rifle I specced out a while ago (I love playing with attachments :D ): Modded Verpine Heavy Shatter Rifle (Gunnery; 16; 2; Accurate 2, Knockdown, Pierce 6, Superior, TOS, Laser Sight, Multi-Optic Sight).

Don't know if the best you can do, but it's pretty good. And since it's a Slugthrower, does Reflect apply?

The TOS (Telescopic Optical Sight) reduces the difficulty of shots at Long/Extreme range by 1.

P.S. Sorry Jedi.

How many sights can one rifle use simultaneously?!?

9 hours ago, RuusMarev said:

I think "vaporize" might be applicable...

Yeah, the slugs would be stopped (vaporised) but not "reflected" when the Reflect talent is used.

ETA ... Ninja'ed by the GM (I should have read all the new posts first).

Edited by Bellona

So the sniper(s) has/have 5 agility, 3 ranks of ranged heavy, and all of the sharphshooter tree, (s)he/they also has/have 16 at/16 st, 5 soak, adversary 2, defense 2, is/are at extreme range from you and will be using the combination of brace, (to remove 2 setback, the custom grip removes a third) true aim (5 yellow pool and 3 boosts from accuracy 3), telescoping optical scope to reduce the difficulty, and crippling which increases the difficulty back to 4, also deadly accuracy brings base damage to 13. And yes 2 maneuvers per round (brace and true aim) mean 2 strain per round (s)he/they attack (but slow firing 1). Also don't forget natural marksman and 2 ranks of lethal blows.

I think laser and telescopic optical sight work fine together

I accounted for that in the IC post. (long, I know)

I just didn't have it in me to write out every detail in the OOC post, it took me about 3 hours just as-is.

It's a telescopic-multi-optic laser sight. Fanciest sight money can buy! :D
I don't believe there is a limit. Just narratively treat it as a super-scope.

What are your current wounds and those of your squad?

@RuusMarev Do you want to narrate the crash or shall I?

So @Bellona 's guess at ventress' involvement reminded me I have to spec her...

So I think I'm going to stat as a jedi:knight/padawan-survivor/makashi-duelist/shi-cho-knight with peerleess interception filled out, adversary 3, move, enhance, ebb/flow (basic and strain upgrade), and bind, maybe a touch of farsight.. probably other powers but the likely won't be relevant to the encounter so... I'll leave it off the sheet for now.

Ventress exists in one of the clone wars books.

Camouflage is at 2, Havoc is at 2. I used a stimpack on Havoc, Fury, and Ghost, bringing the latter two down to 0 wounds.

I said at the beginning of the campaign that I wouldn't be using official ffg stats for named canonical characters. I'm using stats that meet the needs of the campaign... ventress needs to be able to tank against 4 lightsaber wielding pcs disarm them and not be disarmed as well.as having about fr 4.

@Bellona , I was planning on doing a write up, but the GM listed a bunch of options for Mireska that honestly, I'm not sure how you might like to narrate it.. We could split the difference, and narrate Jorin first, reacting to a feeling as he swings the turret.. (we could always go with my joke about not looking... :D ) Join's reaction would be a controlled panic scramble and jump/saber draw as the speeder crashes.

The options (advice really for his actions this turn assuming he took the first slot) you quoted were for @jhh3 not @Bellona . I told him to wait until you or @Bellona had narrated the crash... @Bellona has already posted ic this week (so will be getting the 5 xp on Monday) you haven't yet... so I figured you might want to narrate the crash

Jedi:knight/ronin/makashi duelist/shi-cho knight makes a better ventress... (for the purpose of going head to head against multiple saber wielding pc's

Go ahead and narrate the crash. If you want, you can write a rough draft in a spoiler here in the OOC (like I did earlier), then give me at least 12 hours to reply (particularly if you're in a mainland American time zone - I'm on C.E.T. when I'm not imitating a night owl) if I want to suggest any changes.

ETA: Nevermind, I saw that you already have something up in the IC thread. Although it looks like some changes are needed.

Edited by Bellona

@RuusMarev thanks for posting in the ic thread but you need it to edit your ic post. Based on rolls (you failed the check with 2 despairs ) so you 1) didn't personally sense the the threat, 2) blatantly gave away that you knew the threat was there after @Bellona told you about it 3) actually did crash rather than jumping from the speeder, 4) can only take OUT OF TURN incidentals in your description because your turn comes after the npcs, drawing a lightsaber is an incidental with quick draw but it is not an out of turn incidental (unless you have the always ready talent from the homebrew jedi ronin class and that only let's you draw as an out of turn incidental when using parry/reflect). You failed the check with 2 despairs , that needs to he reflected in your post.

You get a lot of freedom in how you choose to narrate things but the minimum requirement is it can't directly contradict dice rolls or the rules, your first cut at narratively describing this directly contradicted both dice rolls and the rules.

@EliasWindrider , Since @P-47 Thunderbolt seems to be narrating Condor/Balyeg and the LAAT into the scene, if everything is good there do you need any checks from me?

Not at the moment but if you have time by tomorrow (forum clock) you could make an ic thread post with condor and his men talking on board the laat to get 5 xp on monday. I expect to need rolls from you in the coming week.

@MrTInce @jhh3 I realize you've had to wait due to no fault of your own and consequently you will be getting 5 xp monday regardless of whether you post sunday.
