A long time ago in a galaxy far far away...

It's been 10 years since the Trade Federation invaded Naboo causing Queen Amidala , her entourage, and jedi negotiator's master Qui-Gon Jinn and his padawan Obiwan Kenobi to flee on the Queen's royal cruiser. Her ship was damaged as they ran the blockade and they were forced to make an emergency landing on tatooine.

Qui-Gon Jinn gambled with toydarian Watto on the outcome of a pod race: the Queen's ship against the part they needed to repair it. Unfortunately for Qui-Gon, the otherwise inconsequential but strongly force sensitive human slave boy, Anakin Skywalker, lost the pod race. Qui-Gon also lost a wager that would have freed Anakin.

Fortunately for Anakin, he was not to remain a slave forever, moisture farmer Cliegg Lars bought and married Anakin's mother Shmi Skywalker ; Lars freed Anakin at the same time. Anakin went on to be a famous to tatooine pod racer and successfully fought of an attack on his homestead by sand people.

Meanwhile, Darth Maul had attacked Qui-Gon and Kenobi on tatooine but Maul was struck down by Kenobi as Maul himself slew Qui-Gon. When the critically injured Maul did not die fast enough for the grieving Kenobi, Kenobi split Maul's head with his saber. Kenobi, Amidala, and her entourage proceeded to Coruscant aboard Maul's ship.

Amidala made an impassioned plea to the republic Senate for immediate military intervention, when she did not get it she called for a vote of no confidence in Chancellor Valorum, and Senator Sheev Palpatine of Naboo was elected as the new Chancellor.

Amidala and her entourage returned to Naboo, with a small strike team of mercenaries obtained by Palpatine in a backroom deal, and failed in their attempt to liberate naboo. Amidala was forced to sign an agreement legitimizing trade federation control of her planet. After being released into the general populace, Padme Amidala lead the "terrorist" insurgency attempting to free her world.

Obiwan Kenobi went on to become a Jedi knight and master to his own padawan. Very recently, they were assigned to protect Senator Bail Organo of Alderaan from assassination attempts believed to be sanctioned by count Dooku, a former jedi leading a movement of star systems secession from the allegedly corrupt Republic. Kenobi's padawan took a kaminoian saber dart meant for Organo. The assassin got away but Kenobi was able to track the dart to the water planet Kamino, whose existence had very strangely had been erased from the jedi archives.

On Kamino Kenobi discovered that now deceased Jedi Master Sifo Dyas, who had vocally warned the jedi council of a coming galactic war he had foreseen through the force, had commissioned a clone army from Kaminoians. The clone army was templated off of bounty hunter Jango Fett who Kenobi suspected was the assassin who had killed his padawan while gunning for Organo. The two fought, and Jango Fett fled with his unaltered clone son Boba. Kenobi followed them to the planet Genosis, from where he broadcast what he had discovered.

Shortly thereafter, Kenobi was captured by the Genosans and his starfighter was destroyed mid broadcast. Jedi master Mace Windu is leading a strike team of 212 jedi to rescue Kenobi.

Upon hearing the news, Chancellor Palpatine, through intermediary senators, attempted to gain emergency powers so that he could commission the available clones as the Grand Army of the Republic. However one of the Chancellor's intermediaries let slip that the request came from the Chancellor and allegations were levied that Palpatine's real motivation was to use the GAR to liberate his homeworld Naboo. As the proceedings threaten to quagmire in endless debate, Chancellor Palpatine proposed that the GAR be placed under the authority of a military tribunal of senators selected by the Senate. The three senators selected to be one the tribunal are Bail Organo of Alderaan , Mas Amedda of Champala , and Aang of Roonan . The motion passed and the GAR was created, with the impartial Jedi order to serve as generals as a second safeguard against abuse of power.

Jedi Grandmaster Yoda is rushing to ready the army while Master Windu's jedi strike team, including

Tinari Wen , Ker'see , Randi Quade , Mireska Tanohdi , and Korren Mayvus among numerous others has proceeded to Genosis where they will eventually meet clone Captain “Wraith” CT-6987 .

Jedi Master Windu has hastily assembled 212 Jedi, many of them newly minted Jedi knight to rescue Obiwan Kenobi. The jedi have borrowed one of the ships in coruscant defense fleet to transport themselves to Genosis, During the trip, the general conversation/consensus among the jedi, particularly the younger ones, is that the Genosans will surrender as soon as they see that many sabers light up. After arriving on Genosis, they jedi have quietly infiltrated Petranaki arena they were just about to act when they see a nexu pounce on Obiwan Kenobi...

Ker'see seeing a colleague in danger rushes forward, drawing her bow. The crackle of energy all too familiar as the string forms in an instant. She can hear the shouts to hold back and present a united front but she ignores this and readies her shot.

Knowing the creature is far she aims further than she could normally with her bow and pushes herself further (taking two strain to take the an additional manoeuvre) taking a sniper shot to increase the range band.

The nexu will be taking 13 damage, pierce 4.

Mireska gauges the distance/height difference between Obi-Wan's and her own location, ready to Force Leap towards him if possible. If I can reach him, then maybe I'll be able to pass my own lightsabre to him (since I'm not that great at using it anyway) and heal him instead if he needs it.

Her ingrained healer/doctor reflexes see OWK as a patient, one who needs to be reached as quickly as possible. Who knows what's been done to him while held captive here?

The bolt soars through the air, seeming on target but at the last possible moment the nexu jerks causing the deadly energy to strike the already wounded obiwan Kenobi instead.

Mireska, desperate to save the wounded Kenobi, calls upon the Force to protect her. She then makes a reckless Force leap into the arena. As soon as she hits the sand, her teal-bladed lightsabre hums as it is lit and she continues on towards Obi-Wan, ignoring the momentary stitch in her side.

She's only part way to Obi-Wan, yet Mireska feels her emotions see-sawing all over the place. He was in the age cohort ahead of her, and she has always looked up to him. How much is she willing to sacrifice in an attempt to save Obi-Wan?

Time almost seems to stand still for Tirani as he stands in the arena taking in the scene, the wind making the robes of the Jedi around him russell and flap, the smell of dry dust and something not quite identifiable on the breeze, and the crowds in the stands around them bustling and humming.

Experience with the security strike teams on Coruscant told him that separating and getting spread out would give the potential for the crowd to overwhelm their smaller force, but surely the sight of so many Jedi standing ready would give them pause. At least he hoped so.

Seeing the beast start to move towards Kinobi , followed by several of his companions starting to race forward to save him caused Tirani to force down a surge of unease that formed in the pit of his stomach. "An this is where things start to get complicated."

Reaching out and embracing the Force around him he takes two quick steps forward before leaping forward into the air to close the distance, spinning in mid air while igniting his lightsaber as he lands and quickly snapping it forward into a guard position and releasing a emerald bolt of blaster fire at the beast!

Randi watches the others jump heroically into the arena and is quite nervous about joining them. This request of Master Windu was a sharp contrast to her normal solitary meditation. She calms her emotions and thinks of the small tree she would sit by. She whispers to herself "Size does not matter." and reaches out with the force focusing in on the troubled Obi-Wan. The Nexu's grip is strong and she struggles to pull him out at first. Randi would remember he old master saying "You do not need to be a hero, just make a connection with one person and save them." That advice is what made her volunteer for the mission, and now it would be her time to prove it. Reaching deep inside her, desperate to help, that fear comes out.

(Rolled Discipline in case its Opposed but I have Control 2 for grasp. Activate, Strength, and Range should do it so only 1 conflict and 1 Strain.)

Nexu resisting losing it's meal to Randi's move : 2eC+2eD 1 failure, 3 threat, 1 Despair

Obi-Wan cries out out as hes ripped from the teeth of the Nexu! He floats through the air above the arena until hes caught in the arms of Randi. "Hello there." She says with a grin but her face turns to shock as Obi-Wan looks badly injured. She gently lowers him to the ground at her feet.

The Nexu is obviously angered by the loss of its meal and decides to replace it with the closest lifeform. It charges (2 maneuvers, 2 strain) and pounces on Mireska knocking her to the ground.

Attack Mireska : 4eP+2eD+2eS 0 successes, 3 advantage

Flip a dp to upgrade attack should have done this before but didn't think of it : 1eA 1 success, 1 advantage

7 damage minus 4 for Mireska's soak is 3 and Mireska is knocked prone

Using her training from both Ataru and her Knighthood trial preparation, Mireska rises swiftly from her prone position.

Wanting to get away from the nexu and closer to Obi-Wan so that she can heal him, she attempts to use her ability to leap impressive distances. Once, twice, she strains herself but is apparently too distracted to call upon the Force.

Mireska tries a third time to Force Leap away from the nexu and in the direction of the stands, this time taking the time to ground herself properly before attempting to use the Force. Success! She is now at Medium range from the nexu, and much closer to the stands.

Jango uses his jetpack to soar towards the jedi with the bow that barely missed the nexu (thereby identifying herself as the biggest threat to the bounty hunter), realizing that she is hus target, Ker'see drops her bow at her feat and draws and ignites her saber just befor Jango gets into short range and strafes her with his pistols, she deflects most of the barrage but two bolts still peg her.

Two weapon shooting at Ker'see after jet back to short range : 5eP+2eD+2eS 5 successes, 2 advantage

(The first attack deals 19 damage because of deadly accuracy and momentum, the second deals 11, Ker'see takes 15 and 7 damage from the 2 attacks putting her at 22, which would have rendered her unconscious, but instead flipped a destiny point to retcon having an ignited saber out, and used it reflect twice, reducing the damage by 5 each hit)

Seeing the figure in Mandalorian armor swoop towards his comrade caused Tirani to pause but only for the briefest moment as blaster bolts started sizzling through the dry air of the arena. Behind him he could hear the hissing pop as lightsaber after lightsaber ignited. Seeing Ker'see staggering under the barrage prompted him into movement. With a dodging side stepping gait he took aim and let loose his own emerald bold from the hilt of his saber, streaking into the air at the armored menace! "Bic ni skana'din!"

(Side Step maneuver 1 strain to upgrade the difficulty of shooting Tirani. Second maneuver Aim, 2 strain. Shoot the bounty hunter. Flip a light side point to upgrade pool. Ebb/Flow to recover strain. Translation from Mandel'o = "That really pisses me off!" )

Seeing the blaster bolts coming at her Ker'see quickly drops the bow and draws her lightsaber managing to reduce some of the assault against her. In response she quickly stims herself (1st Manoeuvre) then stows her lightsaber (Quick Draw).

Seeking her revenge she takes up her bow (2nd Manoeuvre) and takes a shot at the Bounty Hunter.

14 Damage with pierce 4, will crit (+20) for Lethal Blows and recover two strain. Crit is 97, which is crippled.

Ker'see's shot hits Jango in his left arm and he drops one of his blaster pistols. Mace Windu's distinctive purple lightsaber is easy to make out on the duke's podium. But blaster bolts are fired at him from inside the entrance. Master windu defects several of them as he jumps backward into the arena. The clank of metallic feat grows louder, and is joined by blaster fire and the flutter of many wings as those Genosans capable of flight take to the air. Once Ker'see view of where the mandalorians previously was is no longer occluded by the flying swarm, jango is no longer in view. The (NPC) jedi near Randi Quade and the inert Obiwan Kenobi form up a defensive perimeter around him while most others rush toward the approaching battle droids. The nexu decides to run toward the opening and the safety of it's cage, it grabs a Genosan arena guard in its jaws during its exit.

3 clumps of 6 b1 battle droids each at medium range from Tinari  Wen shoot at him

Shooting at Tinari Wen : 1eP+4eA+1eC+1eD+2eS 1 success, 2 advantage

(9 pts of damage minus 4 soak and reflect=0 damage taken)

Tinari manages to sidestep all but 1 bolt in the first barrage and deflect that one into the ground.

Shooting at Tinari Wen : 1eP+4eA+1eC+1eD+2eS 3 successes, 3 threat

(11 pts of damage minus 4 for soak minus 5 for reflect so 2 damage taken, uses improved reflect)

out of the second barrage Tinari knocks 2 bolts back taking down 2 droids in the clump but he gets gets grazed by a third bolt and evades the rest.

The third group shoots low but next to tinari which kicks up a bit of dust which impairs Tinari's vision.

But their shots are stopped by the cover of the arena wall.

Randi Quade for the moment is safe due to the protection of the jedi surrounding her and obiwan

Gritting her teeth against the pain of being shot, Mireska attempts to Force Leap into the stands from the arena itself, but t he countless deaths that have bloodied the sands in the past have also darkened the Force there, and Mireska goes nowhere.

I'm too wrought up - I need to calm myself , she thinks to herself. Taking a deep breath (and wincing at the resulting wave of pain from her wounds), Mireska tries again. Success! Mireska is now up in the audience seating, among the other Jedi and at Short range to Obi-Wan.

She bends down to look at him and closes her eyes for a moment as she calls upon the Force to heal Obi-Wan. I am with the Force, and the Force is with me.

The Force flows through Mireska and outwards towards Obi-Wan, and her knowledge of the medical arts directs it towards the worst of the damage. The most life-threatening wounds start closing on Obi-Wan's body and some of the pain-induced strain leaves his face. Mireska breathes a sigh of relief as she feels some of her own stress leave her. Mission partially accomplished?

The LAAT/i’s hull plating rattled, the transport bucking under the turbulence of the Geonosian stratosphere as it descended towards the orange hued desert world. Its vast, rocky hardpack soon to be replaced with the blasted wastes of war. Gleaming under the small ship’s interior lighting, CT-6987 stood firm, his white armor immaculate; firmly gripping the crash webbing with one hand, his DC-15a blaster in the other. Under his helmet, a miniscule grin formed. Today was the day, he thought; his excitement, his anticipation building to a crescendo he had never before felt. His men, his brothers standing nearly identical to him, exemplars of discipline, each and every one.

“Captain Wraith,” General Yoda’s voice crackled through his helmet’s internal comms, “at the arena soon we will be. Prepare your men, top priority the survivors are.”

Flicking the helmet comm with his tongue, CT-6987 responds, “copy that, general.”

“Troopers,” he turned towards his men, their helmets swiveling towards him in near unison. “We have our orders, we have our duty, we have each other. Those clankers down there don’t stand a wampa flea’s chance in an evaporator if you ask me. Am I right, brothers?”

They answered in a shared voice. Their affirmation echoeing throughout the LAAT/i transport’s durasteel compartment.

“That’s what I thought,” Wraith laughed out, giving his men a moment’s pause for their raucousness to die down. Their discipline to be restored. “Our orders are to secure the surviving Jedi. Everything else is secondary. Boots down in 3 minutes.”

Securing his blaster, his now free hand slammed down on the door release. With a swish, the oppressive geonosian wind blasted through the transport. Sand and grit peppered his polished armor, rocking him and his men, and for the first time, Captain Wraith, CT-6987, took in the massive earthen arena in the distance. Its monolithic size growing larger by the second.

Taking in the growing chaos in the arena Tirani quickly scans from side to side taking in the numbers of approaching battle droids, their insect like movements and coordination of their groups sending a small shiver down his back as he struggled to maintain his calm. This is nothing like the lower levels of Coruscant. I thought the gangs had given me an idea what fighting looked like, but this is different!

Drawing on the Force and feeling the power of the Light Side flow through him like a balm he leaped back to the main body of the Jedi and paused to let the Force sharpen his defenses as the battle started to spread. "Stay together! Support and protect each other, and watch the sides to avoid a crossfire!"

( One maneuver to leap back to the others, 1 action to activate Sense and commit a Force Dice - up to 2 times per round upgrade incoming attacks 2 times.)

Through the open door of the laat, captain wraith can see anti aircraft fire. A last a little ahead and of to starboard erupts in a ball of flame and plummets to the ground trailing a thick cl and ad of black smoke.

Clenching his teeth, Captain Wraith watches as another LAAT, in formation with theirs, bursts into flames, bits and pieces of burning shrapnel from the doomed craft richocheting off of the front of their own. For the republic , he thinks, closing the transport’s door, returning him and his men back into the gloom of artificial lighting.

”Hang on” he shouts over the comms to his men, both with him and to SGT. Scrap’s squad in the LAAT to their port side, as their transports are violently buffeted by anti-aircraft fire and desert wind. “Stay on course. We have a job to do.”

His thoughts return to his fallen brothers, the first of them to fall, but surely not the last.

Ker'see turns her attention to the group of battle droids that have started shooting at her. Carefully aiming (True Aim Manoeuvre) into the group she pulls the energy string back and looses into the group.

(Going to crit 3 times which takes out a minion each, a total of 16 damage with pierce 4 and I believe takes out the rest)

The blast hits the group and takes them out in one go, the force flowing through her. (will use the three light sight pips and turn them to advantages and recover three strain).

The battle droids in the arena take notice of the archer that single handedly made quick work of a clump of their compatriots. Two more groups of b1b's focus their fire on Ker'see

(9 damage÷4 soak do you want to reflect, passing a boost to the next minion group, and flipping a dp on the next check).

The three groups of battle droids that were targeting Tinari continue to do so

Ker'see is not used to this kind of fire and is forced to pull her lightsaber out for the second time in combat doing her best to reflect the bolts coming from the battledroids. (Will take 6 strain to reflect twice). Seeing her fellow Jedi engaging at close range she takes the combat to the battle droids (man) with a force enhanced leap. (One to activate the power, one to increase and control upgrade to use as a manoeuvre)

Mireska makes the effort to swing up her teal-bladed lightsabre and reflects the worst of the blasts from the droid group that had targeted her. Physician, heal thyself! She realises that she needs to take care of herself first before she can help anyone else so she quickly applies some first aid (fumbling a bit at first but recovering any mis-steps), before moving on to where Kenobi is lying at Randi Quade's feet amidst the other Jedi.

The chaos in the arena continues to increase, causing confusion and emotions to spike! Tinari struggles to avoid the incoming blaster fire from the masses of battle droids. The sounds of the other Jedi around him doing the same is almost overwhelming. Between the buzzing hum of the sabers swinging frantically, the zipping crack of increasing amounts of blaster fire, the flashes and streaks of color all over ridden by the clanking of the droids and the cries of the jedi that fail to deflect the incoming blaster fire....it is almost more than he can stand. Only the thought of not failing Master Sinube or his follow jedi keeps him steady.

Focusing on his breathing Tinari lets the Force flow through him... blaster fire, right high... the side steps spinning while shifting his saber to a middle guard...crimson bolts of energy streaking to his torso, deflected into the sand....shift and spin and block low.... group shooting low, sweap and step... Tinari almost blocks and reflects the threat from the droids to his left reflecting the majority of their shots before a glancing blow to his leg throws him off balance for a moment!

(reflect twice, so +6 strain; 1 wound got through soak and reflect.)

It was apparent that some Jedi in the mix had used the force to wrip the massive stone pillar that obiwan Kenobi had been chained to earlier and used it to crush a swath of battle droids around the jedi gathered at the center of the arena. Since master Yoda was not on site it was unclear which jedi could had pulled off th feat. With a bit of breathing room many jedi got a chance to look and saw that Count dooku had departed, perhaps in response to the display of RAW power.

The break would not last long though as battle droids beyond that swath of destruction started taking pot shots at the jedi.

A group of battle droids spared from the pillar of death because they were engaged with Ker'see, club her with their blaster carbines and she collapses but manages to take one more of the droids with her having sliced it half just before getting pounded on the head by one of it's compatriots.
