What's announced for january ? As what I know, only Anakin and Darth Maul are announced, and will be released in december.

That big announcement explains why there was not a single announcement about the 2021 releases during the last weeks.

Republic and separatist specialists (medic, comms, generic commander etc) were announced for January. They were part of the gencon news. Kallus and Lando are available for preorder on asmodee website yet there have been no articles or them, but I think it’s safe to assume they are beyond January. Who knows, they may be the first units from the transition that the ffg Dev team handed off to AMG.

Back to a somewhat xwing related bit.... the press release says Seattle. Is that where AMG is? I’ve now had someone try to tell me that AMG is in the same headquarters as asmodee NA and ffg and I’ve never seen them over at that venue.

Indeed, I forgot about the specs of the Clone Wars Era, my bad.

I didn't knew that Lando and Kallus have been on schedule, they have never been announced. That was a good catch.

Besides those products, nothing have been announced for 2021 yet. I expect something really soon if AMG wants to stimulate their newest acquisitions

Tomorrow would be a good day for some news (specially after the Atomic Mass Games move).

Come on, FFG AMG, show us you mean business!

but in all honesty I really do hope that AMG starts giving us xwing and legion news. I’d love to see a new wave announcement in the coming days, ideally for the original trilogy squadron packs and maybe a card pack with new pilots for all and an upgrade set of all the new card content. I’d rather not have to buy Jango’s Firespray for Scummy delights but I might if I can fit Jango + 2-3 Nantex or named belbulabs in a list to basically mirror Boba + fearless skulls.

Same feeling here. But I will buy Jango's Salve 1 because I only have 1 firespray at my home. IM'll get a second one for my scum lists as for my seps lists :)

So as far as products for the games that are being moved we've got:

X-wing: ETA, V-wing, Jango, Tri-fighter more or less on the way. Properly announced and previewed and availabe for pre-order.

Armada: Republic Starter, Republic Squadrons, Separatist Starter, Separatist Squadrons, Card Update Pack, Dial Pack. Properly announced, previews began, up for pre-order. 2x Republic Expansion ships, 2x Separatist Expansions informally announced.

Legion: Maul, Anakin essentially on the way with announcements, previews, and pre-order. Republic and Separatist Specialists formally announced and I think up for pre-order. Lando and Kallus up for pre-order without announcement of any sort.

Have I missed anything? Other than those there are only leaks about things in the pipeline correct?

@Frimmel I believe that is the full collection of what we have seen out there in an official capacity, yes.

Oh gosh, I really hope they release the Phoenix squadron expansion or whatever it is for Rebels before Atomic Games do their move. Playing proper trip aces with Rebels perhaps? One can dream.

Well, with the D move from asz-mode,v that raises some serious questions as to what actually happened next. Considering the games development is like two years or more for a wave, from concept to test to production to shelves. It really depends on what amg does with what's already on the pipeline.

Worst case is they scrap the pipeline and try to rush out a new strategy for development in an condensed time frame, we maybe go through a brief drought while they 'reset' and get their own but from the ground up first wave out. That would happen maybe say 6months(or so) from now, as some stuff in the works is too late to pull back from print even if they wanted to.

Best case, they just keep up the management of the current production queue, and in two years, or there about, we see the first AMG headed wave from being to end hit.

Gonna get weird boys and girls. Hold on to your buts.

I think they will do this. It would be stupid commercially unsound to scrap what is working and try the chance with something totally new. AMG needs to prove us they are up to the task and X-wing is as healthy as ever. They will probably announce a lot of new products soon.

Indeed. Through all of this I keep hearing, "this was long planned." If this has been planned presumably they know what they will do with the present assets as far production of these games go. It is reasonable to think that informing all of us of this plan will occur soon. At minimum informing us of the things we've been led to expect sometime by the end of March 2021 is a reasonable demand on our part.

The medium and long term and even the short term are neither here nor there. But from here to the end of March 2021 constitutes the now term in my estimations. I would very much like to concretely know what to expect now. What will be the final FFG branded products? They could really start with that. Perhaps they could assure us of just what we should expect between now and the end of the year?

Also the sky strike academy and the fugitives boxes.

In all honesty, that wave could well be my “final wave”. I’m worried about how the points will go for the new content though. They may be well designed because ffg designers made them but could get wrecked by AMG pointing them out of existence or super aggressively to drive use of the new toys

I'm not ready to make a call on pulling the plug on X-wing and Armada quite yet.

I am willing to set aside stuff that hasn't been officially announced and concentrate on whether we're going to get points for the product we're supposed to get this month. And I'd like an assurance that we can expect that product on schedule.

That veritably is my hope, and current belief. But life has taught me to remain skeptical until unneeded y'know? Because between the two scenarios I've put up above, I didn't mention that there's also a chance that because of the long productions cycle they already had an AMG working between the two studios? It's not a strong possibility, but there might have been a 'transition team' set up at some time.

Too be totally fair, FFG hasn't always gotten points right in their first year of a product. E.G. Dash, Supernatural, Nantex, etc. So I don't really consider that part of rubric as such for success of a release. How the mechanical elements function is more important to me. So if AMG wants to send X-wing backwards with dumb moves like VI, PTL, and some kind of NeoAT all over again... Well... That's a no go.

Considering the folks who lost their job aren’t the ones handling shipping of product, I’d say the odds are solid we get our new toys next week as promised.

The ships aren’t in the hands of ffg right now, but in the hands of the asmodee distribution system, which has remained unchanged

Yes. That is reasonable. I'd still like the announcement. What do I expect between TODAY and the end of the year? All of those products I listed above. Do we expect them on time or not? It is reasonable to expect them on time. On Monday many people thought it reasonable they would still be employed today.

What is planned and what actually occurs aren't always similar.

As far as I'm aware, Wave 8 is the last X-Wing release scheduled for 2020 anyway. UK stores have had notification that they're getting three of the four Wave 8 expansions next week - no Eta-2 on the shipping list, but the UK is having some major delays at ports at the moment anyway, so things might have got snarled up there for one or more containers of stuff.

Not having any official indication of the next wave at this point is a little unusual (although not entirely unprecedented IIRC) - I'm guessing we'll see some announcements about Wave 9/the assorted squadron packs soon, but it might be after Christmas at this point.

It doesn't make much difference to me, I've stopped recently X-Wing, sold a lot of my ships and kept a fews of Separatist ships. Despite this, I'm waiting to know a little more about these packs because I really like the concept of this kind of pack.

But now I'm in Legion, found the game cool, and the local community is active, where x-wing is saddly dead.

My FLGS online here in the US does not include the ETA-2 as available for pre-order, and the tri-fighters are sold out already...

Just a logistics question: if the package is already named with an expansion number and a release date, I suppose that FFG will support those releases ?

Then maybe the team that will make the bridge from FFG to AMG will work on those releases during the transition. It makes me think that all is not dead on FFG's side, just taking the time to turn the corner.

I really hope that those informations published by lion rampart are solid :) :)

Fingers crossed for a Corellian Conflict style campaign. My ultimate dream is an official mega campaign that combines Armada, X-Wing, and Legion!

I don't believe this has "been long planned" for one second.

Nope, developer talks on team covenant, the new keywords not yet implemented. Etc.
