Star Wars: Revan's War OOC

By Rabobankrider, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny Beginner Game

Haha, but rules of tv, you are correct. @Shlambate you'd also recognise the ship as the one you took to Fornost, presumable repaired by the workers there before being sent to Corouscant. The threat will have you miss something here, but you currently see 5 security guards carrying truncheons and pistols, 4 security droids with rifles and a team of 5 engineers and pilots, and another five of the loader droids, effectively civilians.

@Rabobankrider

Thanks for the info update. :)

I do have a couple of questions.

Where is/are the entrance(s) to the control room for the hangar?

How many people would be manning the control room normally?

@Jedi Ronin Krios is outside the Door with Adanja right he is technically responding by comms right?

@Bellona , the door to the hanger is just behind you at short range, the viewport of the hanger control is on the opposite side of the hanger at medium range. There is a door set in the wall at ground level near by, this is probably the access point. Usually it would be 3-5 civilians manning a place like that, but there's a chance they've already evacuated or may have less anyway as this hanger is locked down.

Uh, I was thinking he was in the vents but I don’t think I said. But you’re right, either way he can use his comm.

I believe you actually did say you were following Armata in at some point, I just think people missed it because a lot of posting happened at the same time.

The post in IC where Krios said he wouldn’t fit in the vents made me think other wise. If we are all past the doors then feel free to correct me and I will edit my post, at which point we don’t care about the opening of the doors.

That was a bit of flavor that he was worried about it - and he's also carrying bags. I'd intended to have him go into the vents but I didn't actually narrate it that way - he just waved in Armatta.

Don't we need to get the hangar doors open from the control room or elsewhere before boarding the ship - unless we're blasting out way out of the bay? @Rabobankrider latest narration of the scene points out we've deactivated the mag locks on the ship but the hangar doors are still shut. Are there controls in the room to open it? Should we try to bluff our way through the guards and get them to open the doors for us? Maybe claiming the emergency is giving us authority to move the vessel to a different holding facility?

Just to clarify, does everyone realize we're talking about two different set of doors? The doors for people going in and out of the hangar we may or may not need to open, but the doors for flying the ship out of the hangar are on the ceiling (I think), and either need to be opened or destroyed to fly the ship out through.

@Shlambate I don't actually know which ones you were referring to here, so pardon me if I misread.

Yeah I was talking about the doors we needed to get through that armatta made a check on to get us through and that was why we went through the vents. The Hangar Doors would need to be opened.

So if I'm not mistaken, we have 3 goals to accomplish, and not necessarily in this order: get Adanja into the room with us, open the hangar bay doors, and board the ship. Do we want to split up again, or are we better off sticking together?

If we did split up, Silun would probably best serve alone or with a small group to sneak aboard the ship and prep it for takeoff.

If @Edgehawk wants they can have their character crawl through the vents now you guys have cleared the way. Alternately you can sneak to open the door to let them in but that will almost certainly trigger a confrontation.

The hanger door can be blown open or opened by the hanger controls. Bare in mind if the senate find out it's the jedi behind the theft, things like blasting the hanger door may have them a little annoyed with you. :P

The loading ramp to the ship itself is currently open and at medium range, but the largest cluster of people including the civilians is near by. Sneaking aboard is very difficult but not impossible. Combat is also possible f you want, but may have the same repercussions as mentioned above.

Ultimately, it is down to whether you guys want to go loud and fast, quiet and careful, or use some excessive charm to bluff you way past.

Zoroku Deceives he doesn’t charm, but does the group have a good Charm?

If @Edgehawk and @Jedi Ronin go through the Vents then we can ignore the door and sneak one of us to the door controls. But we will need to distract the guards. We could Deceive or charm the civies in front of the ship to block the ship there are pilots and engineers among them, if we tell them we have been reassigned to the ship and need them to open the doors immediately we might be able to get away without much fight.

Just an idea, but you (or whoever tries to sell it) could try and work the distraction into it, say we have orders to get this ship out of harm's reach.

I favour stealth, deception, and charm over violence.

Is Charm a likely candidate, or would it have to be Deception? I will narrate Andja following through the vents.

You have the best Charm at 3 G I have the best Deception at 2Y1G

IIRC, Andja adds +2 Force dice to her Charm (unless it's against a droid?).

Yes, to any of the social checks. Also, a talent to remove a Setback from Charm or Leadership.

2g2W is volatile and would be one of our harder checks.

If we can combine the force die in her Pool with Zoroku's Deception that would be our best roll

To get the Force dice into a combined (skilled assistance) pool like that, I suspect that Andja would have to be the leader in the con/bluff.

Naturally, Zoroku would give his Deception as skilled assitance, Using An Danja's Cunning and other talents.

Andja has good social skills. 3 Cunning, 3 Presence, 4 Willpower if we resort to coercion. All with +2 force dice.

I cannot help with Coercion, where is your Smooth Talker talent focused? Charm, Nego, Deception or Coercion?

Also @Edgehawk you should probably narrate An making it through the vents with Krios.
