@Tlfj200 - I have a bone to pick with you. Podcast jargon and turns of phrase have a tendency to seep into community culture. Things like, "Who could have foreseen X would do Y thing! Unknowable!"

But, your use of "I mean" to start a sentence, particularly when used with a sentence which isn't actually clarifying a previous statement, has permeated so deep into the colloquial language of a few of my locals that it triggers a Pavlovian response in me to want to smack them upon its utterance. Every time. So that's a lot of smack-wishing.

Misuse of language bugs me, including when I do it and it's brought to my attention. Self-smacking isn't near as satisfying.
