Mychal'el fought bravely alongside his impromptu companion, parrying the cascade of batons with his saber, each hit sending sparks flying. The close-up, inconsistent flares temporarily blinded Mychal'el, and he shook his head to try and remove the spots from his vision. He remained reliant on the Force for his defense.

(Triumph: Disorient 2, Mychal'el takes an additional setback to every skill check for the next two turns)

(I'll use the 3 advantage to remove Jarash's ranged defense for the next round)

The stormtroopers on either side of Jarash attempted to overwhelm him with blasterfire. The Shistavenen marksman ducked quickly behind cover as he was forced backward into a more open position.

The stormtroopers on the far right of Jarash, frustrated by the occluding pipes, moved up in tight formation.

Moving to short range. Now both ranged groups of stormtroopers are at short range from the engagement in the crossway and from Jarael, while Jarael is at short range from the engagement.

You're free to flip a Destiny Point and activate as many black pips as you like...you'd just take 1 strain per pip. Would give you more Advantage to work with! Your call.

@Tramp Graphics you may attempt a Daunting (4eD) Athletics check to get to the bottom of the turbolift shaft this round, if you like. Success would put you at Medium range from the big engagement. Otherwise your maneuvers will take you to a medium range distance from the bottom of the shaft (so next turn you can emerge).

@Rakaydos let me know if you want to act for Tovera, or if you just want her hanging out and staying out of harm's way.

With the stormtroopers moving up to engage her mentor, Tovera dropped from the piping into their midst, accompanied by the whine of her vibroknucklers... and that's when it all went wrong.

The green-skinned Nikto kicked the combat into high gear. Winding up his repulsor fist, he sent it into turbohammer motions, punching straight through the armor of one, two, three stormtroopers, and—all in the span of a heartbeat—sending them flying off of the walkway. This winded Maa't slightly, but his confidence soared after this display.

Tovera dove for the stormtroopers, but her positioning was given away before she got to them. They dodge out of the way and Tovera overshot the platform. She flew past the edge of the walkway, only to grab hold of one of the pipes that ran vertically up.

The inadequately supported plasteel pipe ruptured immediately under the strain of the heavy Selonian, and bent sharply under her weight. As it bent, it fell with Tovera under it, until the top of the pipe hit the floor of the walkway with a resounding CLANG! This stopped Tovera's fall as she clung desperately to the pipe, but also had a fortuitous effect against the stormtroopers: the pipe was carrying some form of liquid freezing agent. The grey-blue liquid gushed out of the pipe, spilling over the floor of the walkway and also over one of the troopers, suddenly freezing large portions of him solid, and creating a large, dangerously slippery surface on the walkway.

There were now 5 troopers very close to Tovera (trying to manage a suddenly treacherous hazard), and 3 troopers directly behind Mychal'el and Maa't. 6 more troopers were in front of the pair, still wailing on Mychal'el with their reinforced stun batons, while 2 troopers stood off at a distance, trying to hit Jarash with their rifles.

PC <- you are here! And it's anybody's turn. And btw all the troopers now have their shields back up, so it's M/R Defense of 3 for all of them again. Please note if I've upgraded your Difficulty or given you Setbacks for any checks.

Maa't leapt over the stormtroopers, and his lightsaber returned to his hand as he was in mid-leap. With no flourish, no acrobatics, just raw brutish force, Maa't kicked out and swung his saber in wide arcs, knocking aside shields and riot batons, preparing for the killing blow even as the three remaining stormtroopers pushed in against him.

The lone stormtrooper tried to bring his gun to bear on they helpless Tovera, but his feet gave out from under him on the frozen surface. With a surprised yelp, he fell, slid on his back, and toppled over the side of the walkway. An unintelligible expletive was the last thing anyone heard from him.

The troopers just south of that position were still ferociously attacking the combatants. With Maa't now out of their immediate reach, the full squad of troopers focused their ire on Mychal'el.

Mychal'el parried each attack in succession, with only one of the stormtroopers' hits actually landing on his body. His tough armor took the hit, but his body took the electric discharge. He steeled himself against the convulsions...

Suggestion for the Despair: the group of 6 stormtroopers can either be pushed back into the slippery difficult terrain, or you can cause one hit against them with your lightsaber (base damage). Go ahead and choose what you'd like to do @Mychal'el and then post your turn.//

The shining armored figure gathered himself for a brief moment to keep his muscles from seizing after the electrified jolt. He happened to glance past the troopers and caught sight of a creature clinging to life, hanging over the the abyss.

He immediately charged the troopers, using the closest trooper's shield as a springboard. Sending the troopers toppling over each other into the coolant spill behind them. He was propelled out over the gap towards the row of glowing columns. Each tank teetered slightly as he ran in a wide arc across their round vertical surfaces. The endangered creature's grasp slipped and she dropped.

The two beings collided mid-air and rolled together into a awkward heep on the lower walkway. He picked himself up off of the creature he now realized was a female Selonian.

"Excuse me Madam..." he said in a gruff but polite Concordian accent. He offered his hand to help her up. "...If you and your band value your lives, you must all leave this place immediately. If we don't escape in time we all will parish."

The three remaining stormtroopers in the melee with Maa't tried to reposition themselves to strike out at him, but with his lightsaber in hand it was a futile gesture. He was wearing them down, one after the other.

The group of stormtroopers at the rear had held strong, but it seemed like they didn't quite like their odds. They were now backing up at a quick pace, their shields up in front of them, laying down covering fire. Sparks continued to fly as more and more glowpanels were shot out.

Next three PCs please! I'll be spending a Dark Side Destiny Point to upgrade the difficulty on each action for the rest of this round, to represent the fight-or-flight nature of the troopers' situation.

I use Dodge, 2 strain to upgrade the attack twice. (basically roll an extra challange die)

Chundarr finally reached the bottom of the lift shaft and leaped out, ready to go. He saw his friend Maa't duking it out with three stormtroopers, lightsaber in hand, parrying blows from three oversized riot batons, at a medium distance.

Having no ranged weapons, and being a better brawler than a polearm wielder, Chundarr rushes the troopers fighting Maa't and starts bashing on them left and right (like Chewbacca in the Carbon freezing chamber in ESB ).

So that's 7 damage before soak and whatever trouble he get into as a result of the threat.

As Chundarr closed in on the fight, one of the troopers turned around just in time for the Wookiee to smash into one his riot shield. To his credit, the stormtrooper held up under the barrage of hairy fists, and even managed to bash the Wookiee in the face with his shield. There was a split second where Chundarr looked like he might have been stunned, and the trooper peeked out from the side of his shield. Then, shaking off the hit, Chundarr gave an almighty roar that shook the trooper in his boots.

Matt will have to make the adjustments to the sheet. after soak, Chundarr only takes one wound.

Tovera swung onto a catwalk, looking up to examine the blasterfire passing overhead. Spying the retreating stormtrooper group, she dashed off to the south, toward a ramp.

(2/4 move actions southward)

Jarash ignored the nearer stormtrooper group, who had their own problems, and focused on the ones retreating down the south catwalk. A moment's aim, shot, another moment, and a second shot, and two stormtroopers tumbled down, helmets smoking.
