@SavageBob : I figured the triumph can be used to denote a familiarity with the language, enough that translating it is relatively easy. Success of course means you succeed. Threat would mean that not every letter is readable or familiar, possibly due to the painting itself or by being letters totally unknown to you.

Actually that would be a funny bit of use for Threat/Despair in a roll like this. You "see" a hidden message that isn't there, and then go running off on some National Treasure-esque, scavenger hunt, all on a false lead.
Perhaps we can progress onward towards the temple, as I think we've pretty much squeezed all we can out of the town setting. I'm satisfied with the content so far, but we've not even progressed past the intro , so...
And I can call a good wrap up to this encounter. I can't remember if I said I'd distribute XP based on episodes or encounters, but I can't help but think it would be better to feed it in bits after each encounter.
Cool with me. Just waiting on the wrap-up of the feather-pluck, and I think we're good.
I just sort of narrated it, if that's okay . Gets us outside and moving. Plus a possible plot point for our dear GM at a later date!
So, sort of a major backstep, but I only recently was made aware of this item. GM, when you asked us what kind of stuff we'd like to find, gear wise, I didn't really mention anything specifically of note.
And then I read the description of the Talisman of Iron Fists. F&D core, pg. 190. If at some point, that item ended up in Kamoa's hands, I wouldn't be upset by it.

Noted.
So are we ready to move forward from the village scene?
Ah, yes. For some reason I thought I was waiting on somebody to respond IC, but I guess everyone has.
Somebody will have to make a check to navigate to the destination. Did everybody decide to leave right away, or wait until morning.

There's an irate Twi'lek after us, so I think Chadrik narrated it so we really can't stay in town! I think we were all waiting for you to establish whether this was a new "session" (with XP rewards and reset of strain and possibly Destiny).
But do you want us to get to the temple first? What's the skill to navigate there? Survival?
Right. I think I will go for encounter distribution. So, everyone can take 10 XP. We'll keep Destiny for now.
Default overland navigation skill is Survival, though if somebody is willing to think of an alternative, be my guest. Since it's approaching nighttime, though, add 1 Setback to any such check.

so... Survival? Kai has 2eA+1eP.

Average difficulty. Assistance is accepted, if anybody is willing to offer. +1 Boost die for the hints that Zik was able to discover.
Kai has Farsight, which only requires 1 force pip, which he could use at any confusing junctions or obstacles while guiding... maybe a boost?
edit: added 1 boost for Zik's hints.
Edited by EdgehawkHey! Kai succeeded at something!

Kamoa does have a glow rod, if that would assist/negate the effects of darkness.
Success! Anything in particular you want to use the advantage for?

Zik's got a fusion lantern, too, if that helps. (It will also make us stand out to brigands, though.)
Irrelevant, since the check has been made.
If you have no suggestions, maybe you can use the advantage to shorten travel time?
Edited by Blackbird888Shorten travel time is good, if it will help move the story along without complications?
No threat, no despair, no complications.
In this case, the journey is not as important as the destination.
Wondering if we should fire up our light sources. Is it pitch black? Or can someone Farsee for us, so we just follow behind?

Kai's farsight only lasts 1 round, so is mostly fluff at present.
Just a reminder that I will be unable to post for the rest of today nor Sunday.
Not sure if you'll be able to adjudicate this till Monday, but I used Imbue to bump Bralane's Cunning up 1 till my next turn (I mistyped when I rolled on Orikos: this was for Cunning, not Presence, since the idea is to boost Perception):
