Star Wars: In The Pits OOC

I'll go with that, add 1 additional Force Dice to your first power check.

Let's do it. Also, just checking, Heal/Harm is going to be a Discipline Check with the force die added, right?

In most situations Heal/Harm requires no skill check, only a Force Power check. In certain situations where either the environment your in or the opponent you're targeting is challenging then I will ask for a Discipline check. Sometimes it will be opposed others just a set difficulty.

So unless I say otherwise you can just roll the Force Dice to activate it. This fight in the pit is an example of when an opponent or he environment will make it harder, but lets cross that bridge when we get to it.

Any news regarding the status of the next post?

I'm just going to post now, putting it together as we speak

If anything, I wish to reserve one of the first two PC initiative slots. I am going to sleep right now, though.

Vyrr is being attacked by a pack of 2 Vrblther minions. They used their manoeuvre and downgraded their action to move from Medium to engage him. They can't attack this round.

How far spread appart are we all? Like how are we standing at the moment? I know Vyrr is atop a wall, are the Vrbthlers climbing atop it? Can Bull's staff reach?

Vyrr dropped down the other side of the wall. He is now out of Bulls sight and Medium range away from Bull if Bull can jump the wall. Its half way through Long if Bull goes around. So either 2 manoeuvres and an action to engage by going over the wall or 3 manoeuvres to go around.

The others are around you at short. I'm actually going to revise my call on the beasts, they would have needed 2 manoeuvres to engage Vyrr. Because they are Minions that means they can't also attack, so it's 2 PC slots now.

Ok would Bull get a boost to climbing the wall if he would do so? He is 7' after all!

Lol. I like that, sure add a boost.

So athletics check to vault the wall then will he be engaged with the beasts with his free maneuver correct?

Correct

Difficulty for Vaulting the wall?

Seems like a part of my initial plan was redundant.

Manoeuvre: move to the lever that is situated at 9 O'clock in relation to the maze' centre, using the previously mentioned orientation of the location.

Action: shoot at the Vrblthers using Auto-fire (I will sometimes call this quality AF).

Ranged (Heavy) : 2eA+2eP+2eF+2eD 4 successes, 2 advantage, 1 Light Side, 2 Dark Side

And I get a pretty good roll (at least if they don't have any Adversary ranks, and if I am able to shoot them after leaving engaged range without penalties, and if I am able to move towards that mechanism). Assuming this is just a single minion group, I spend all advantages to shoot them, spending dark side points to generate advantages. Thus, 3 hits for 14 damage each.

Assuming the Vrblthers are not in a group, I target the one nearest to Vyrr twice.

Assuming I am unable to leave the Engaged range before shooting, I still shoot, but don't use AF.

2nd Manoeuvre: move again towards the lever.

Does everything look okay?

Ok you can Disengage and they are in a group.

They have defence 1 so could you please roll an additional setback due then I'll calculate the outcome

They have soak 6, 9 wounds each.

Here we go.

To account for defence : 1eS 0 successes

Seems like they are dead, and I am back at square one with my plan.

Yep you unleash a hail of fire and they drop

I would like to claim the next player slot.

@Richardbuxton Is their any difficulty for vaulting the wall? Oh and does Vaulting it count as an action?

Vaulting is an action and requires an Average Athletics check, staying on top is also an option.

I'm fine taking either of the last two initiative slots.

So either Matt or Shlambate take the next PC action if you like. Currently there's no NPC's in view, Vyrr is deep within the maze somewhere heading for a lever. The rest of you are at Long range from the opposite side and at Short range from each other.

Ok since you asked Matt you can go!

Whoops, I'll move twice towords the back of the arena
