Jailbird and the Desperadoes OOC

By Richardbuxton, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Beginner Game

@Enoch52 and @Cartergame haven't posted for a while, if their still interested I'll add them to the first post.

I'm absolutely still interested but didn't know we'd posted anything new. Sorry! I was offline this weekend. THANKS, @Richardbuxton, for tagging me to let me know! :)

...and based on what happened in our last game I believe that Kaimer will put 10 pts into getting his 2nd Ranks of Vigilance and Perception. :)

The shah is at cliffhold on legos right now, operating a pop-up ship hanger (triumph) well within your current jump calaculations. What do you want to do with your advantages?

Also for the success you know that Ree Tuca is on Lianna, what do you want to do with your advantages?

I assume this is for my roll, and the other for @KungFuFerret's roll.

So for my roll, how does 1 advantage to narrow the location down to a city sound, and the other three to know what the Empire's presence (ships, sympathizers, etc) in the system is?

absolutely!

So can you tell me what information my 2 suxx gained me? As I said in my previous post, I don't know what I want to use the Triumph for, until I know what the actual result entails.

@Imperial Stormtrooper You know that the planet makes tie fighters and so far has a degree of privileged independence from the empire. You know that there has been a few female recruits from Lianna, which has a society of imperial female officers that attempts to assist its members against the sexism of the Empire. There is a standard imperial garrison but policing is largely done locally. You don't know exactly where shes at on planet, but shes actually registered legally there under an alias so it shouldn't be difficult to find her.

so the success is that you got a contact, the second success was it was for the ship at cliffhold. May i suggest that the triumph is that cliffhold is unmolested and that the inhabitants have been able to use part of an old security grid to keep track of patrols?

Sure, but where is cliffhold? Is that the name of a town on another planet? A space station? What?

Its a hidden cliffside port on the planet legos.

Do you think you could give us a bit of background?

What do we know or why do we know of this place?

Have any of us visited before?

Does any of the crew know any of its residents, either personally or because they're infamous?

Are there any commonly known details of this port?

What does it look like?

What else is on this planet that we would know of?

So unless you have a compelling reason why one of you would have visited here than no I'm assuming probably not. I'd take a hard outer rim check with a bonus for operating a cell near this part of the rim.

Without a check you know what's on the holonet. Tiny colony officially. More like a few settlements supported by a small illicit Spaceport, which is cliff side. Usually the spaceport has little notoriety, but because of the increased imperial presence in the outer rim creating a scarcity of of safe havens, you friend Shah, has taken up temporary residence at cliffside to serve those in "need". She has taken the opportunity to lay low, doing little repossessing these days, instead focusing on a temporary side business of fencing and repairing stolen or illicit ships.

Legos was briefly the subject of galactic interest when a defense grid was used to hold the residents hostage and Jedi got involved. Remnants of this grid is now used as an advanced sensor warning system against imperial patrols. Antiquated technology, but mostly effective.

The planet is rocky and mostly barren. Opposite side of the planet as cliffside is "Doera Gorge" a giant set of interlocking gorges and pits and the "Blonde Sheers" a set of sheer cliff faces sometimes used by climbers.

Ok just so I'm clear, due to time between posts and phrasing....

We jumped towards a planet called Legos, on Legos, is a town/city called Cliffhold, which is where my contact Shah is currently hanging out?

That about sum it up right? And are we still technically in hyperspace? Or have we entered orbit around the planet at this point?

You are choosing which one to go to, I'm assuming the choice was decided before Lightspeed, however if you go to the interactive star wars galaxy map (hint Google) they could be hit in sequence, one of the things I gave you for the good rolls.

I believe legos was closer to where you are now if I remember correctly.

So I'm cool with wherever, if anyone wants to chime in on a destination.

I don't mind either destination, if someone favors one over the other. I can put some more thought into it if it would help.

If the GM says that both potential destinations can work, in sequence, and that Iego is closest... I say we just go with it.

So are we waiting on a particular person to IC post, or just people to decide where we headed first? The only people who have chimed in on the subject, seem to be fine with doing Iego first, so I say we go there and keep moving.

Sorry, I didn't realise I had to actually vote ;) Kaz is just really happy to be off that prison world and is enjoying himself in the dining area. He will be happy to go anywhere but will probably be surprised you're not "headed back to base" since that's what he thinks the rebels do.

I was waiting for everyone to get their vote in.

Anyway, it looks like our destination is decided, Iego it is.

Sounds good to me ic post commencing.
