Difficulty/ setbacks for Leadership check? Dex could have some useful input for the Commander?

So the difficulty for leadership would be 1 purple 1 red with 2 setbacks given the destruction of your cell and loss of communication with the rebellion

Outer rim is 3 purples Underworld is 2 purples

Edited by TheShard

Can three of us attempt different types of checks?

In either case Caess will be making a leadership check. Unless there are any objections?

Outer rim might find you other cells, or known allies but hard because the empire is crushing cells in the outer rim, underworld is the easiest to find a contact but unless you score big it probably won't be the rebellion

Edited by TheShard

You all can try any of these

Leadership Roll

Rebel Data: 2eP+2eA+1eC+1eD+2eS 1 success, 4 advantage
p-s-a.pngp-a-a.pnga-a-a.pnga-s-s.pngc--.pngd-f.pngs-th.pngs-f.png

Interesting, anyone have ideas for the advantage?

Maybe the destination/ contact you have in mind can help discreetly accommodate a stolen and damaged imperial shuttle (or help us swap it for something a little less conspicuous)?

What would the dice pool be for an underworld check?

Underworld is 2 purples

Unfortunately, Dex has no useful input on the subject, but I'll pass along a boost to @KungFuFerret. Maybe I say something, thinking out loud, that reminds him of something.

Description Leadership
Results 3eA+1eD+1eC+2eS: 3 failures, 1 advantage [3eA=A, A, A] [1eD=Th/Th] [1eC=F] [2eS=F, F]
a-a.pnga-a.pnga-a.pngd-th-th.pngc-f.pngs-f.pngs-f.png

Underworld check: 2eD+3eA+1eP 2 successes, 1 threat, 1 Triumph
d-th.pngd-th-th.pnga-a.pnga-s.pnga-a.pngp-tr.png

Not sure what to do with the Triumph right now, until I know what the successes net me, then I can tailor the result to that.

Oh, and I've finished my contact list, reposting because I'm too tired to try and thread dive for the one to update :P

Contacts:
Neebu Dalsin
Male Zabrak
Job: Street Doc/Cybernetics Doctor

Personality:
He's an old, grizzled man, having worked for various criminal factions, now also works for the Rebellion. The man is almost constantly drunk, and is a functional alcoholic. He didn't like the various jobs he was hired to do for the criminal organizations, installing combat mods in their enforcers. His guilt at the harm they would cause in the galaxy, lead to his drinking, plus the constant fear of some guy from one of the syndicates dying on his table, and his friends deciding to kill him as retaliation. Luckily his skill with surgery and cybernetic installation made that a non-issue, and his talents were highly sought after by the various groups.

He met Jaycen on one of his previous jobs, and was convinced to pack his things and work for the Rebellion. He's still addicted to alcohol, but is finding himself diving into the bottle less and less. His mood is still one of jaded cynicism, but he continues to ply his trade, in the hopes that the Rebellion will at least make things better. While the Rebellion tends to move him around with their fleet, so he is where he is needed. As of late though, he has been stationed on an out of the way space station, run by people sympathetic to the Rebellion. He keeps his head down, and works as a regular doctor on the station, patching up busted limbs, and telling people to look to the side and cough. The Rebellion sends people his way when needed, and he's just waiting for them to collect him, and find him a new location to work from.

Halifan Zardost aka Footpuncher
Female Twi'lek
Job: Club Bouncer/Hired Muscle

Halifan got her nickname from a particular drunken brawl in a nightclub on Nar Shadda. She was trying to break up a fight between 6 people, and was knocked down by one of them with a cybernetic leg. Seeing as this only served to piss her off, she ripped the guys foot off, gripping it like an improvised brass knuckles, and proceeded to pummel the people to unconsciousness with the prosthetic limb. The moniker stuck after that, and Footpuncher was born.

Unlike most Twi'lek women, she is a large and husky woman. The only "pole work" she does, is smacking you upside the head with one if you cross her. Noone would call her attractive, at least not by the stereotypical Twi'lek standard, but she's got a strong presence to her, that some find inviting. She takes no crap from anyone, but doesn't look for trouble either.

She met Jaycen through an infochant they both knew, when Jaycen was looking for some short term muscle for a job his cell had in the area. She was so good, and her personality so refreshing for him, that he kept her on retainer for a while. Eventually Halifan gave up the bouncer gig, and works freelance. She's got her own small team of mercs that take jobs, mostly bodyguard work, and escort jobs. Nothing large scale, as there are only a handful of them, but you could do worse than have Footpuncher and her friends at your side.

Allopachious Montebon III (Slicer handle: Digiteyez)
Male Human Infochant

Allopachious, or Al to those who call him friend, Digiteyez to those on the net, was once part of a Coruscant noble family. However his personal leanings towards anarchistic politics, and a general dislike of the Empire, eventually led him down the path of holonet slicer activist and data thief. He started making friends with the wrong kind of people, and became the black sheep of his family. After enough fights with his family about how he was "bringing shame to their name", he left home, and set out on his own to see what riches he could glean by stealing data. Turns out, quite a lot. Al took up the moniker Digiteyez for his slicing exploits, and began to set up a network of contacts to distribute the information to those most willing to pay for it. He wouldn't call himself a patriot, or a Rebel, but he has no love for the Empire, and takes delight in stealing their secrets, or selling those others find for him. (Think Mr. Universe from Serenity for his personality). He moved into the Outer Rim, and set up his network of informants, and to this day thrives on the exchange of data for credits. He met Jaycen when he got him in contact with the Twi'lek muscle Halifan, aka Footpuncher. The three of them got along fairly well, their personalities meshing into an eclectic 3 Stooges type of dynamic. Jaycen and Digiteyez making jokes, and Halifan usually not getting their humor in the most Straight Man kind of way. He developed an appreciation for Jaycen's work, given his focus on stealing Imperial secrets, and is always happy to give him a good price on the data he gets from them.

Shah KaKhan (Yes I know, sue me, I'm not feeling super creative with names this morning, and I love puns :P )

Female Ithorian Shipjacker

Shah grew up on one of the many Ithorian Herd Ships, which is where she gained her intimate knowledge of how starships function. However, after the Empire gained control of everything, and put the boot to the neck of any non-human races, Shah found herself having to abandon her home ship, due to "Unauthorized operation of a domestic dwelling through Imperial Shipping Lanes. Denoting a threat to the sanctity and vitality of trade in the Empire." Translation "We don't like you guys living out of our system control, in your floaty city things, so GTFO." Enraged at the Empire for this, she started stealing ships to make a living. She had no skill at agriculture, like most of her people, but she could keep a ship running with nothing more than some string and a hydrospanner. Plus, she could break into just about any ship too, and strip it down for parts in no time flat. This talent brought her to the attention of the Rebellion in short order, as they were always in need of ships, and those skilled at taking them from others, became a vital resource. She met Jaycen on a short mission they had many years ago, where they were both tasked with stealing an Imperial cargo freighter. The cargo wasn't the main focus, though it did help, but they mainly wanted the hauling capacity for other projects. Between Jaycen's slicing to disable the security, and her mechanical skills at jury rigging the ship, they made short work of the job. During their long hyperspace jump to drop off the ship, the two got to know each other pretty well, and had a professional respect for each other's talents.

Ok I'll have something in response to these checks later today.

This is good fodder!!

Finished up the last 2 out of Caess' 3 contacts.

Vurl Rartu, Ithorian Male, Fighter Pilot for the Alliance

One of the pilots from Caess’ first assignment. Their friendship started when they both stayed in the hanger after missions to help the mechanics fix up the squadrons fighters. Vurl would rather just fix the fighters then fly them in combat, but he knows that the Alliance needs as many skilled pilots as possible and Vurl is one of the best, so he flies the fighters, and helps fix them. Vurl’s personality would be considered close to that of many Ithorians in that he would prefer a peaceful solution, but he will resort to violence much faster than most other Ithorians.

Ree Tuca, Kel Dor Female, Mercenary

Caess met Ree shortly after receiving his first promotion. Ree was hired by an outer rim planet to protect them from the Hutts and it just so happened that the Empire and Alliance both took an interest in the planet. So, Caess and Ree ended up on the same side fighting the Empire. Caess discovered that for a mercenary Ree was a very just being. They have maintained occasional contact despite her dislike for droids.

@Richardbuxton Could you update the page with the current/future players? Or maybe @TheShard could do it on his post on the first page when he gives us the results of our checks. Whatever works.
