Hello, I'm from Omaha, NE. Noticed this thread, but it's way too long to read through all of it (76 pages!).

Anyway, I have family in New Baltimore, and I will be visiting over thanksgiving. I will be in Frankenmuth for a couple days for my HS reunion, but otherwise will be in NB for the week. I would LOVE to get a night of X-Wing in, so if there is anything going on, I'd love to hear about it. I fly in Tuesday before turkey day, and leave Monday after. I'd prefer to know before my flight, so I can bring just what I need.

Also, I love that it seems like the MI community is pretty well established. I play in Omaha with a lot of great players (just today we had a tournament with both previous world champs in attendance... I was 11th of 19). The community is what makes this game fun, so I look forward to meeting another set of awesome people.

If you are looking for something a little more 'on the fly', you could always put out the whole "I'm gonna be at X store between Y and Z oclock, let's play some X-Wing!" I think you would be hard-pressed to find some MI gamers wouldn't want to throw down on some X-Wing for your Homecoming. I, unfortunately will probably not be able to join as i'll be in the woods attempting to kill animals.

Howdy and welcome. I'm going to go out on a limb from previous experiences and say that the community is likely to not be too active during Thanksgiving week, but this is for sure the place to come find out if anything is going to be going on.

As far as bringing stuff, most players have more than enough stuff that you could probably borrow some ships. Though if you can find a mini travel case for a 100 point squad I guess that might work.

I'm staying Friday night somewhere there (though I haven't made those plans yet...), so Saturday would be best, or maybe earlier Friday. Were you in Frankenmuth 10 years ago, and if so, do I know you?

As far as the rest of the play nights... Monday and Tuesday, which seem like the best nights as far as stuff near where I will be, are the worst days for me, as those are my travel days. Wednesday/Sunday in/near the NE part of the Detroit suburbs (26 mile and I-94 is the point to be within 30 minutes of), or saturday anywhere between Frankenmuth and NB seem to be what I'm looking for (spending time with family on thanksgiving, how boring).

If I don't get a game in, it won't be the end of the world. But, it'd be fun.

Planning some XWM( and maybe some Wings of Glory) for Friday, 7 November at Evolution Games in Lansing, MI. We will be starting around 11 AM and running until we have no more players. Please let me know if you are interested and plan on attending.
