Any SE Michigan games?

Looks like I won't be able to make it for tonights tournament after all. I was looking forward to taking home that YT. I might stop by for a sec but I won't be able to stay and play.

Good luck guys!

Really wish I looked at this more. Would have been cool playing for that new stuff

Good games last night. We had 7 plus John the store owner made 8.

Congrats to Cody who won the Decimator and John who won the Outrider.

Also with strong showings by Chris and Preston who lost the chance to win the Outrider in the tie breaker.

It sounds like Eternal Games will be doing a few more events in September for ships and store credit on Fridays and Saturdays so keep check back regularly.

In the mean time, Tuesday night it sounds like there is the option of a tournament in Wixon at Flatland games. I'm kind of doing something else though for varieties sake. Does anybody want to do one two hour epic game with teams at Eternal?

When are people looking to play this week at Eternal? I think we need to pick a night and stick with it since the front page says Monday but it's alway seems to be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. I just wonder how many people see this, go Monday and we aren't playing. Thoughts? I know John wants to solidify Friday's as xwing day at Eternal so if people find that to be the best lets update the front page. As for me, I can't do Friday's, so I would want either Monday or Wednesday as it would conflict less with GG's already established Tuesday XWing night.

Johdo, can you please change the front page to state that Eternal Games is now a Friday Xwing Night. Tourneys for swag and/or store credit. registration starts at 6PM. 6:30-7:00 start time.

I'm going to be at Eternal tomorrow night around 6:30 if anyone wants to meet for some games.

I should be at Eternal around 6:30ish also.

Sorry Matt,

When no one responded here I started looking around. I set up to go to GG for their established game night. Meeting some people out that way around 6:30. Going to check it out to see if it's a viable option for me since Eternal switched nights and I only have one per week to give.

Boooo :(

Well I'll be at eternal tonight!

So what is the Official X-wing day at Eternal now?? Monday, Tuesday or Friday? I personally am a fan of Tuesday for regular play and Friday for tournaments (since they will run later than a casual play day).

Right now the "official" play night is Friday for everything. But many of us just casually show up on whatever day is convenient for us. From my perspective Tue, Wed, or Thursday nights tend to actually be better to get in 1 or 2 games. However, a tournament on a mid week night is kinda brutal. Maybe we could do what Wixom is doing and have 75 point 45 min. games instead of 60-75 min. 100 point games.

I think in light of various comments it would be better if we had a mid week casual night and an occasional Friday night for special tournaments. But that will have to be reviewed with John at Eternal Games.

I am fully on board with this plan. I'll see what John says.

May be coming to Eternal tonight now. Flash flood permitting.

I should be heading to Eternal tonight as well. For a bit.

I went to the Flat Land tourney and did the 75 point 45 minute game...the games go too fast for my liking and the squad building is much harder. Don't get me wrong it was a lot of fun but this is a style that is fun in moderation. BTW the night was dominated by z95s, my Corran/Etahn combo kicked ass! Got 3rd overall and left with some new tokens, lost on time in the 2nd round :( but it was weird that their OP kit had 0 academy pilot cards and Biggs cards

What! No Biggs card? Glad I got the epic on at Eternal.

So the epic game went ok. 300 points per side. Basementcuts and gminor as the Imps against Rob and myself on the Rebel side.

The imps certainly blew up more stuff. However, Rob's 160 or so points of Rebels did a noble job of slowing down the imps enough that we were able to evacuate one of the transports and thereby win the match by objective even though there were a lot of dead rebels last night.

I had the job of piloting 2 transports and 1 Corvette. Which consisted of only straight moves and the occasional pot shot with the CRV's turret.

Yeah, no cards at all at Flatland. I'm fairly disappointed about that. I was mostly looking forward to an academy pilot but Biggs would have been cool too.

Yeah the epic games get a little muddled after a while. I think an all out win vs a corvette would be interesting, and possibly no asteroids to make the huge ships more of a danger.

Is anyone going to try Armada? I like the idea of flying a star destroyer but it's just a whole other investment I don't really want.

I've noticed this at Flat Land and Eternal... They tend to spread the prizes out more instead of handing them out to the winners per design. I know I was rather PO'd last time I played at FLG tourney, and I got 3 stress tokens for coming in second.

Is anyone else bothered when places do this?

if the prizes are clearly defined at the beginning, then i can't be upset because i willingly went into the Tournament knowing the prize distribution.

However, if the prizes change during the course of the tournament based on whatever excuse you want to put here, then yes...that's absolute bullshyt.

I do get upset when this happens or if the top 2 get everything

All I had heard before the tournament was that they were "using a summer tournament kit." I never felt the need to clarify any further than that. I'm slightly miffed about how it turned out but I'm not bent out of shape about it or anything.

Just so everyone on here can mark their calenders, on September 13th at 1 PM Flat Land is doing a 130 point tournament. 75 minute rounds for an OP kit and in store credit based on attendance
