Show up. I'm not expecting a full crowd, but I haven't got any for sure I will not be theres.
6 Players reported at RIWs.
12 players reported at FLGs.
Looks like RIW was the place to be to get a ship... And me going to a ballet recital. ![]()

It wasn't a bad turnout at Flat Land considering the amount of competing tourney's being played today. The venue threw in a really nice consolation prize; they did a random drawing between those that placed 5-12, and the winner won a free Tantive IV.
I went 20 points in the swiss rounds, finishing in first, but lost the coin flip and was stuck with Imp's for the final game (I wish they would have given choice to the person in first, but it isn't my tourny to run, and I got my ship anyway, so I'm not going to complain too much). My imp squad didn't stand a chance, Maneuvering Echo was much trickier than I'd anticipated, and Ed played a pretty solid game to seal it up. I'm almost thinking that maxing out both of those ships would have been better than what I'd played. Anyway, I may write up a Battle report later if I feel up to it.

Which ship did you decide to go with?
RIW was a good game. Plus they threw in a CR-90 as well.
Unfortunately, I was not in the top 4.

Ed took the E-wing, so I took the Phantom. I definitely could have built a squad around Echo, but taking the defender with it takes up so many points that you're not left with many options.
Gamer's Gauntlet had 12 people.
I had a good time even though I got stomped and went 1-3. I was feeling a bit down, I finished 8th behind my friend from work who was borrowing my stuff who went 2-2 and got 7th. But she won a star mat as a door prize and gave it to me so I was super happy with that since I didn't have one yet.
Any way, it was fun to see the other guys from Eternal Gaming and NOT have to fight them. ![]()
Now that the tournament is out of the way maybe next week we'll experiment with the transports and corvette if any of you guys have one.
Edited by mlbrogueoneFYI if you were on the wait list for Shennanigans I won't be going and I think I was #15 on the list, so there should be one open spot.
And I won't be going, I was #2 on the waitlist. I'm going to head over to Fun4All and hope for a rematch against Anthony at the final table.

I'll try my best to get to that table! We'll see if Robert A. Fett and friends are up to the task again today!
Fuzzy, in case you haven't figured it out i can't make it up there today. Daddy-Daughter duties > X-wing today.
Hope to get up there on a Monday night one time and see what it's all about.
Turnout of 14 at F4A today. Thanks to everyone for coming out and helping to make the event a fun one.
Thanks especially to Jeff and Ed for doing the strength of schedule math while I flew my Interceptors around, and congrats to Phil for maintaining his Lambda dominance!

So how did the top 2 break down in the end? Anybody end up with 2 phantoms?
Edited by DesignerNinjaNah, Phil took the Defender, so Anthony ended up with the E wing, leaving Ed with the Phantom, and myself with the Z-95.
I forgot to mention that history was made: Jeff ran an Imperial list.

No worries. Like expected people didn't show. We ended up with 12, which is near tops in attendence so I can't complain. We gave away an additional Tantive.
I came in second over-all, losing in the final match to a crit monster Han shot's first list that won initiative on me. Han killed everything after someone sneaked a lucky hit in on Fel to lose my stealth, and the fact that the only two crits I flipped were both double damage.
For the Finals I ran this:
Whisper + VI + Advanced cloak
Fel + PTL + Stealth
Delta bare
For the regular rounds I ran my three amigos:
Fel + PTL + TC + Royal Gaurd + Stealth
Turr + PTL + Stealth + Royal Gaurd + Stealth
Cowel + PTL + Stealth
I won my first game on a forfeit because he took a new list and thought he had Fire Control systems on his B-wings like he normally did, but didn't actually have them. Crappy win, but I'll take it.
I compltely crushed a 12 Int HWK + Wedge with Swarm Tactics + B-wing + Rookie list in my second game. My second game I still the win in the final round against a 2 B-wing with Advanced Sensor + Biggs + Rookie list. I managed to drop the rookie as time expired to take me from a minor loss, to a full victory. I then took apart a 8 TIE swarm list that was 7 academys and Backstabber. In the semi final rounds I played a 4 Y-wing with Ions and one proton which I took apart. The finals was a rematch against the guy I beat in the second round. I should have taken the rebels as I had the choice, but at this point I wanted to play with the Phantom as opposed to lock down the win, which is just about gauranteed with the rebel vs Empire construction limitation.
We had a great time, everyone left happy. I took the Phantom because the guy came in first snatched up the E-wing I wanted. I wanted the E-wing more, but I'm not disappointed with the Phantom, it just sucks against a Han Shoots first crit list with initiative. Eventually you have to get into his range, and he WILL hit you before can recloak even with Advanced Cloak.

I don't know about that. I was thinking the same thing heading into the weekend, but both events I was at were won by the imps and sneaky maneuvering.

No amount of sneaky moving will help you against a Han Crit's list with initiative. The Phantom wreaks every other thing in the game with smart sneaky moving. Han Doesn't care. You come in range three, he'll whack you hard while you are uncloaked, before you can recloak from attacking.. You can get to do that twice, maybe, then you're dead. By simply having to take the Phantom and the Defender you just don't have enough attack dice to take out Han before he kills you. I bet if you checked that most, if not all, of the Rebel final lists that won, ran Han. I doubt you could truly find a Hand crits first list that lost, that had initiative. I ran Empire, but lost the initiative bid, so all my nine's didn't mean snot against Han at 9. Han killed everything.
I won't be able to play tonight if anyone was thinking of playing at Eternal. But I may be able to play Wed/Thurs. I was thinking we might try an epic game and bust out the Transports and the Tantives. Let me know what you guys think.

I was thinking the same thing for RIW this week. They've been sitting idle for weeks now... about time to use them!
My range ruler is looking a little worse for the wear, but my secondary range ruler is both shorter overall, and has shorter range 1 and 2. Maybe I can squeeze a few more tournaments out of it.

What happened to it?
The cardboard is buckling in the range 3 segment. Not too bad, but it's getting time to switch out anyway.
